Absurd Thought

Bismillah ---

Absurd --- It's not revenge, it's their right, it's their money. So, they're allowed to do whatever they want. You can check Sorat Al Anfal, for more information.

My bad, it's not revenge, its vigilantism.

...spoils of War, seriously? What happened to religion of peace? This is nothing more than advocating it under the pretense that it is thinly disguised as being just.
So if some thief ran into my house, killed my family members and stole money from me, I am allowed to go and kill that thief?

Lawfully, in USA, no, unless the guy was directly attacking me. We believe in a right to fair trial, no matter what the circumstances. There may be more to the matter than what was at hand. Like people who steal because they cannot afford food and access to a shelter? Is the man who steals a medicine and money to help pay for his ailing wife in the wrong when it originally belonged to someone else? I don't see how your prophet was justified in his actions in attacking the Meccans for stealing from him.

ladies and gentlemen

we all know there is a BIG comparison between the harsh time of Jahiliah and the present day

that is why when U quote and anylise something dont take it like a robot who jump even when the ledge is far way up

so read up the collection of hadith mention by Achmed

so think about it for a second during the jahiliah time is there any proper law or enactment?

and during that time is it the period of Madinah or the harsh time of Makkah??

and about war.......we muslim do not ask for war not even seek for one

but logically we are human with flaws eventhough we dont want any people want one with us

that is why we muslim dont leave in denials , we still believe there is possibility of wars and the need for it

and that is why have our set of rules during war

but some idiotic muslims took this as a reason for war and rejected what really islam hold on to

it is like the permission for a husband to hit his wife when she dont listen

the arrogant muslims took the advantage and deny the fact that we are permitted to do if the wife still dont listen even after advising and her attitude is over the limit

and when hitting we cannot hurt the wife in any way and we cannot hit the face and the private part and the act of hitting is only to warn NOT TO HURT abusively!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i really hate those arrogant muslims

they bring bad images to Islam by portraying violence

I could argue that if Jesus is supposed to be all perfect, why did he tear up that marketplace at the temple? That was causing distruction. Did he have the right to do that? Depending on what viewpoint you have, that was wrong or it was right.

Or the rule in the bible to stone women who cheat. We don't use that one anymore either, along with the headcovering (yes headcovering) verse in the bible.

To the stealing thing: Aren't Muslims supposed to pay alms to the poor? I think that is one of the five pillars. It is like how some of the Christians help out with the poor, and how you are supposed to give money to charity each year, along with offerings each week.

I have a question to Muslims. Did Muhammad proclaim himself perfect like Jesus, or did he consider himself a normal guy?

Muhammad (S.A.W) said he was the Prophet of Allah, He did say he was above Jesus (S.A) but on him being perfect differs within sects (If you mean being infallible) So there's different views on it, But the basic concept is that God is Perfect in all ways.

So far, you've made the most sense concerning this topic. Thank you for clarifying the war portion part.

I still am leery about "gentle hitting" part. You can still hurt people without leaving marks. It still sounds supportive of domestic violence, and I want you to clarify it, please.

I find it to be a very insightfull and generally loving religion and has personally been a great way to come to terms with a lot of things i had trouble with.

Just one question though, The Qu'ran states that a Homosexual should be put to death , is this the commonly held veiw?

You're debating with an immature, self-righteous Muslim boy. I expect no less from Zaaki.

Erm, ffdarkangel, I'd like to point out as a person who was forced to study new testament, Isa (Jesus) was clearing out the marketplace in the temple. Even by old Judaism standards, the selling in the house of worship was wrong. People merely twisted the notion of selling "sacrifices" to make it "right" to sell in the house of worship.

And um, we still kill cheaters in Muslim countries all the time. It's really not a new concept. And Christians don't follow the TNK, otherwise, they'd be Jews and not Christians, and Jews that I've met have more common sense than stone women who happen to be cheaters. For extreme Orthodox Jews, I have no idea how they function in terms of law abiding.

The headcovering verse was later denounced by Catholics in one their big huge religious meetings as an optional piece of attire, and if you actually read the quote by Paul (Ratri posted it here). Anyways, you still find some Catholics wearing head covering; look at some of the nun orders.

Hmph. Didn't your prophet declare this:

Quote:
"Allah's Apostle said, 'War is deceit.'

-Bukhari:V4B52N268

...then why does he deliberately go against it?

Regardless of war in the future or not, Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace. And still your Prophet fought and killed, regardless of whether or not he is "justified".

I'm a Methodist, so what the Catholics say doesn't really effect me. In the history of the Methodists, there was never a following over headcovering. Plus, some things from the old testament (I don't mean all), should be followed. That is why it is there. If it wasn't important, the Christians would have left it out of the bible. Other than history, it has some very important themes we need to learn from, just like the New Testament. Not all of the rules are meant to be taken seriously, and you have to keep in mind the time when it was written. Christianity has to evolve around the surrounding culture to get the message of God across, whatever that may take. I look foward to the day where homosexuals are accepted in the Methodist demoniation.
