The rounds don't stick in the adaptor.
Aww, damn. So you'd need to custom machine a magazine for it or something?

Probably, or put in some type of screw in the side to screw in and clamp on the casing, but that would have to be absolutely flush or inset a tiny bit.
Sounds like a tiny allen screw would work there. Dunno if I trust myself to do that though, and it'd probably end up being more work than it's worth in the long run.

How's the recoil though? Can you even really feel it?

Also, would painting it neon orange be a bad idea?

I was using a bubba'd cut down Enfield. I barely could feel it.
If you had the full 8-10 lb rifle I don't even think it'll have the kick of a .22.

Painting it bright orange would be good as long as the paint doesn't chip off in the chamber.
Also, doesn't any coat of paint a bit of width to something?
Might want to check that out.
Ooh, that should be refreshing.

Yeah, I don't trust the paint on either count. I wonder if there's a way to tint steel...?

Were you talking about painting as in how they make those barbie ARs?
That stuff might work.
Unless it scratches easily.

Anyway, I just think that it would be easier to remove the 'ejector' screw.

Hmm, I tried it, it apparently doesn't help if you pull back really hard.
But it does keep it from flinging the brass to a place that you can't find. rolleyes

You may have to take off the extractor as well.
Just be prepared to extract it with your finger.

Hmm, I think I'd rather duracoat it then.

Then I'd try a duracoat in blaze orange.

I FOUND IT!

It had minor surface rust interior was fine and it survived two plowings by an Allis Chalmers with a back blade.

Hmm, they don't have blaze, but they have a few bright oranges. Oh well.

Sweet. Good thing you didn't waste that money on nothing.

Alright, finally manned up and bought one, except I got the 7.62x25 variant. Hopefully I can try it out later this week and give a range report.

ETA: hahaha, tried it out the same day... first shell jammed so solid in the adapter it took a punch and a hammer to get it out. Once it came out, I noticed the neck had cracked. Not sure if that's an ammo defect or an adaptor defect... I guess I'll find out on Friday. I have more plans to go shooting again then.
