Well, I got two choices for my Christmas money.

Pay on my Taurus and keep waiting.

or

Purchase a CZ-52 and some ammo.

I'm leaning towards the second one.

Unless a ban is enacted there will always be more Taurus'.
But mil surp stuff that isn't made anymore, always finds an owner for life.
And a note.

That's "Taurii", according to the participants in the Taurus board, taurusarmed.net

I agree about the damn -holster -cleaning stuff.

Honestly, wtf?
What are they going to do with the holster and cleaning rod themselves?
They have to put more effort into getting rid of the holster and cleaning stuff... I don't get it.

It's just like those dickheads that drop the spare mags for something, charge the same price and go and sell the extra mags. It's bullshit.
In my opinion, that's BBB type s**t.
Well, those people let me get the extra s**t -- Holster and Mag (possibly a cleaning rod too)-- for $29 instead of just $21 for the mag! But then again, it's like $20 for FIVE ******** SCORE!
I just found one for $150, and that ******** is MIEN.
AND it's a FULL bundle!

That's the link, IF IT WORKS for others. SOme places don't let the link work if it's purchased.

Well, everything is set up. Just gotta send the money order and signed FFL copy for my local dealer. INCLUDING shipping, it's a grand total of $165. That leaves me with $105 from my Christmas money, and ANOTHER $73 from my paycheck, for sending those gifts AND buying a box or ten of ammo wink

I should have it pretty soon!

CZ-52, GET!

So tell me how you did that thing with the FFL.

I was told that the shipping address must be to the guy with the FFL.

No, it's being shipped to the FFL. In accordance with Gunbroker rules AND federal law.
The FFL's address is on his FFL, and my FFL has two addresses on his (home office and establishment), so he wrote some instructions to send it to the establishment instead of office so that it wouldn't get sent back.

Nope.

But I DID send off the payment and FFL copy this morning! I SHOULD have it some time next week! WOO! And the FFL happens to have a box of Sellier & Bellot 7.62x25TOK! DOUBLE WOO!
Even he was impressed by the price I managed to find it at, mostly because it was on the last page of the search where no one looks.

When people are DUELING over $151 (and some change. And metaphorically speaking, dueling with bids), I made out good! Er, "mom" did wink
She still wants a Springfield XD9, actually. Once I pay off the Taurus, she can actually put it in Layaway, if the FFL has any in stock (he's witnessed a SMALL burst in business, not a huge one because he's sort of hidden behind the Maytag and doesn't have the budget for advertising)

Apparently Sellier and Bellot is a good clean burning round.

From everything I know, S&B is a higher-end ammunition manufacturer.

It may cost more than Czech surplus, but it isn't corrosive and is reloadable.

Fiochii is good... Fiochi? Fiocchi?
Can't remember.
Anyway, I bought a box of 7.62 Nagant and that stuff was awesome.

I know steel cased Wolf is notoriously dirty and unreloadable, but has anyone ever reported the ammunition actually damaging their gun?

I haven't heard anything.

Apparently it's a bit more powerful than normal factory ammunition so I think some people suggest not using it in polymer frame guns.
That and the Aluminum because Steel is harder than Aluminum.

It can't be dirtier than the Czech surplus, which is corrosive, and I doubt it's stronger, either (not to mention the CZ-52 was made to handle slightly hotter Czech loads)

Actually, from what I've heard, only CERTAIN kinds of Wolf are particularly dirty. Their higher-end (is there such a thing with Wolf?) ammo is supposed to be good and not extra dirty, and their .22LR is supposed to be hit-or miss by batch.

I think the Military Classic, is the better of the selection.

Yeah, I've heard that the CZ-52 can handle the SMG rounds safely.

I've been shooting those in my Tok!
