You know, I've never played any of the series. What's it like?

It's very fun and addicting cool
Also, the storyline's interestingly unique and emotional. There are some plot points in the games (most specifically Mother 3 and Mother) that touch your heart to the point where you might even cry as the images of the scene along with the music are etched into your memory banks.

That too 3nodding
Also,it kinda sucks that there was no mention of the EarthBound/Mother series at this year's E3.The least that Nintendo could've done is tell us whether they plan on releasing this games here or not.

I actually thought the game was kind of average. The plot was cool, but the gameplay was slow, and you had to grind your characters or be extremely lucky. The only actual gameplay element that was really neat was the rolling HP meter that you could save yourself with.

But yeah, Earthbound had a cool story, and a fetus for a final boss.

Just knowing that makes the final battle even more disturbing xd

Yeah, if you look closely in the background during the final battle with gigyas, when the background is screaming faces, when they move sometimes it resembles a picture of a fetus on an ultrasound - just google search gigyas fetus or something similar.

The theory is that since you have to travel back in time to defeat gigyas, you're fighting him inside the womb of that machine, that would also explain why gigyas says stuff like "help, it hurts" and "no stop" and the likes.

It's also confirmed that the creator of earthbound based the final battle on a rape scene in a movie he accidentally saw when he was a kid.

This is why earthbound is one of the only games that creeps me out. Silent Hill and Resident Evil don't have s**t on it.

Well, actually,it was a murder scene that Shigesato Itoi saw in the movie, not a rape scene ninja
If you wanna see the scene that traumatized him, just go here.

I know that it isn't really a rape scene, but he thought it was - read any interview with him, he calls it a rape scene, and cites things that didn't happen. that sort of thing happens a lot when you're little, memories get distorted.

Also,if you listen REAL CLOSELY,you can actually hear Giygas say things during the final part of the fight ninja
