Oh I'm hardly -innocent-... And I am kinda ammused by the idea of Puritan furries...

Back to topic, I'm fine with sex, its just, I like my sex. I don't like other peoples sex. I can talk about it if I -really- have to, but I'd rather discuss something else. I certinally don't like to watch pornos, and really perfer to see my naked images by themselves.

So I'm innocent..ish?

I also kinda am way big into the importance of love as a precursor to sex. I suppose i could roleplay pretty far in either direction down those lines though, if I needed to, but mostly I'd rather sex just be something I don't get my nose rubbed in.

Ah, I see. Can perfectly understand that, never everyone is into pornographic material. Truly one's own sexual experience is far better than looking at someone else experiencing it. X3

I do not personally relate love to sex and vise versa, but this is really just a matter of opinion and perspective. Not really something I think we need to be going into. To each their own, right?

Since I really cannot think of anything else to say on my own, do you have any other questions?

Actually, alot of my questions have been answered by you! your a lovely mentor. I could talk about love and sex, but, I think thats always something better left unasked in public, as it where, eheh.

I've found it very enlightening actually. I'm not positive I'm a furry, but I'm not positive I'm not anymore:3. I think I have alot to learn and see before I make that decission, and I'm very excited to experience that.

Kinda like that old novel, black like me, only 'bun like me'.

I suppose my last question is an odd one. Does a furry possess but one guise, or many? Are different characters totally seperate, or intertwined? Or is there a common mix of the both? I'd rather cultivate one persona, but, if these change with mercurial whim, I'd probally be better served to be willing to change them as well, I'd think.

That varies from person to person. There are some that develop just the single character that they use as their fursona, though they made change things about them over time. Others still, like myself, have a wide variety of character they have created for one reason or another, such as for stories, role playing or other projects.

Diana is actually not my first character, nor even the fursona I use when attending cons. However, she has become one of my main when it comes to talking with people online.

Do people usually refer to you as any one of your particular fursona, or do you have a 'collective' name?

We are Legion, We are smex~

*giggles*

They usually call me by whatever name I happen to be using and not all realize that they are same person anyway. Have had some refer to me as Arty regardless of which character I was using.

Oh thats neat! So arty is your 'known' one.

Do you like people not knowing? That must be freeing! I just always use the same handle and same bits, so I've never really seen the whole alternate personae~

Sometimes it is fun people treating Diana and Artemis as two different individuals, considering RP wise I do have them as siblings. Also, while Arty represents the natural male part of me, Diana allows me to take on a more effeminate role.

Oh, you know, it just occurred to me. There is one particular aspects about meeting other furries and it is something that does make some people uncomfortable.

We tend to be quite the cuddly bunch and it is not uncommon for someone you just met to want to hug and snuggles. The most proper term would be skinship, it is something that is fairly common and for many a very important aspect. Part of the whole furry mentality is that we look at how animal behavior really does not exhibit any kind of social barriers. Though this often leads to people not realizing such things as person space and boundaries exist.

So if it is something that makes you uncomfortable you should let someone know right away if they get too close for comfort. On the other hand, if you enjoy getting snuggly and cuddly with people, then you are in a good place for it.

I'm a fairly touchy person, I actually get on my best friends nerves. She's very straight, but I'll snuggle against her or hold her hand when we walk or flirt with her mercilessly, which bothers her a little though now adays she doesn't respond much.

I'd read a little about skinship. I've also noticed there's a big theme for furs adopting furs?

That would be those in what is known at the baby fur group. It is made up of two parts, one would be those that take on the role of a child and the other than is their care taker.

It is similar to the Master pet/slave situation, but with a slightly different dynamic.

Is master slave things pretty common as well with furs? I actually once rped a character whom was theoretically a slave but she never got around to being one, really. She was innocent, naieve, a little air headed, people always wanted to take advantage of her but they always got distracted before they had a chance to attempt it, really.

The sub/dom relationships is fairly common, at least in the circles I run.

Not heard of babyfurs, till I just looked them up...

On Online rps I play on you get alot of child characters...I usually kinda find them annoying=/.

I'm curious and I have to ask. Is sub dom often with animals it'd make sense for, too?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 13, 2009 3:55 pm
Sometimes, but not always. X3 Such as say a mouse being the dominate one in a relationship that is between a cat and a mouse.

It has more to do with the individual's personality than the animal they portray.

I'm kinda glad my furry birthday was on easter though!

Another one...are dragons actually part of the furries, or are they just simmilar?
