I try not to think of it in those terms..... and yes, I must say it's certainly not the tastiest part, but it gives you a good idea on how the rest is.

And they never ate the hearts or brains- brains are a actually a meal in places like Russia and China (cow brains, pig brains, etc.)
And the Aztecs only ripped out the hearts to offer as sacrifice to their gods. And the Norse never ate hearts.... never really did anything with them. Check your facts. I embrace my Viking heritage, and the flesh-eating has nothing to do with it.
