Mattew regained his ground. Postioning his sword readinh himself for an attack. "You done yet, Old man." He said with a smile.

Owen smirked. "Not until I'm dead or retired," he replied. He saw a flash of white beyond where the boy stood. He saw his wife peering around the corner with a throwing knife in her hand.

He gave a vague shake of the head to tell her 'no.'

She gave a sad worried nod of submission and cast Vanish upon herself. If her husband was injured she could aid him in healing-unseen.

"It's Lukipela." She replied with an edge of irritation in her voice.
"Plan is to keep moving and kill some guys. Simple. If the big battleships start blowing s**t up, we get the hell out of here."

“You the one with the flying boat?” he said with a hint of intrigue. He quickly followed up with “like that one?” while pointing at the Arcadian cruiser closing on their position.

"Aye." She said, unabel to conceal her smile of pride. She then looked up at the Arcadian cruiser.
"ah." She looed around, picking out the faces of her crew/soldiers.
"We're in 'OH s**t!' mode people! Get back to the ship!" She called. She then fired a few water bursts into the sky as a signal. Her crew instantly gathered together and ran back towards their ship. Lukipela smiled at him.
"Hey, you're wleocme to come aboard, unles syou enjoy shrapnel, Sparky."
Without wiating for an answer she ran off after the others back to the ship.

He recognised what appeared to be some of her father’s unique engineering on the ship from his academic days, he was very impressed. While he signalled for his mercenary troop to withdraw back to the ship Vigroux grinned and said “as much as I enjoy certain death, I’ve always wanted to see your father’s ship” with the kind of smug satisfaction you can only get from accrediting someone’s life work to someone else.

"Well then ready for round 2. I never got your name. Its customary to get your enemies name befor a one on one battle." Mattew siad as he raised his sword.


On the bridge of the Damascain capital ship. One of the engineers noticed something. "Sir, Arcadain cruiser. Its prepareing to fire its weapons on ground forces!" The engineer shouted back to the Arbiter. He rose to his feet and began to give orders. Prepare our new cannon I want to see what the Grav Cannon can do to an Arcadain crusier."
The engineers nooded and began to enter commands to their screens.
The control room began to flash. while at the very front of the ship. Two steel doors opened. Extending out a large cannon barrel.
"Cannon ready to fire." Reported the men.
"Aim for the ships center." The Arbiter replyed.
"Fire!!!" He shouted as they locked on target.
A Beam of black energy cam out of the cannon hitting the Arcadain ship. Intsantly the ship crumbled. As a large black sphere formed in its center. The sphere pulling in the ship. Causeing it to break and bend.

Lukipela sat down at the controls and pulled the ship up into the sky.
"Yeah, well if you want to see my dad's ship you better get down into the hull. The rest is mine." She was joined by a few more crewmembers to back her up, genrally most were uninjured, although she noticed a couple of abscences. She reminded herself not to think about it now.
She twiste dteh ship in teh air and fired it off out of the way of the cruiser, but they were close enough to see what hit it.
"Holy.....what on earth kind fo missile is that?! she exclaimed."

Owen raised his sword in response. "Owen Raine, boy," he replied. "And what name will be carved upon your grave marker?"

Owen purposely didn't say that it would be he who would be writing. He knew full too well that everyone had an equal chance to die in a battle. Although he had doubts that this green-horn here would take him out. Especially with Karla nearby to heal him. She had disappeared it seemed but somehow he knew she was still there. Mostly likely using that illusion ability of her's.

"Im Mattew Ozihar, Son of Azimea Ozihar deseased Paladin of Dalmasca." Mattew said as he readied him self. He kneeled and touched the ground. Quickly riseing with a spin. A verage of solid rock darts flew out trowed Owen. He took this chance to close in on own.

Vigroux replied “the kind we like on our side” with more than a hint of concern. He could see the allied forces withdrawing back to the pillar, as he had feared the strike attacks did nothing to stop the advance. “were have to go to the pillar” said Vigroux with solid tone of voice that only conveyed seriousness and concern, while looking lukipela in the eye for the first time.

Owen raised his sword to shield his face enough without hindering his vision while allowing his thick armor to take on what little damage they caused it. He was ready for the boy-unleashing Inferno once more on a whim. Owen enjoyed battling as much as the next soldier but he had more pressing matters. He needed to aid the other Arcadian soldiers in taking down the pillar-a crucial step in the war ending in Arcadia's favor. Not only that but the sooner this war ended the sooner it ended for his wife.

Karla had retreated back slightly to find a weapon on a fallen soldier. She managed to find a small dagger of Arcadian design. Quickly snatching it up, she ran back to the corner and watched the battle between the men continue. Karla tighten her grip on the weapon, muttered an apology, and threw the dagger at the boys arm. She didn't wait to see if it struck me-her illusion had reached its time limit so she darted through allies and down a small street where she unfortunately met with two Arcadian soldiers who seemed delighted by her arrival. Mischief glimmered in their eyes when they looked her over. She could explain to them who she was...but doubted they would believe her nor could she risk someone over hearing it. Then she silently scolded herself for not bringing her spear.

lukipela was about to protest that she was the one who made the decisions around her, but the look in his eyes told her this would be unwise and unfair.

"...Alright then. Brace yourselves people"
She swerved the ship aroudn and headed off at fullspeed for the pillars.
"Just so you know Sparky, this ship has some armor but she's no behemoth, so don't get us into any s**t deeper than knee-level, got it?"

Mattew could hear the wind seperate as the knife fly closer. He had to think fast. He then noticed his arm guard. with a spilt seconed and a stroke of luck he blocked the blade into the air and caught it. With a quick spin he turned and flung the knife at Owen.
