Door 7 - Odin Junction

By coincidence, the group arrived in front of the restaurant right after Jesse asked his question. "Yes, we are." Alex's silence worried her slightly, but she supposed he was feeling overwhelmed by the new sights and sounds of this world.

Ton'yell tapped on Pierre and opened her jacket slightly so that the little orange bug could hide from sight. She wasn't sure about the cleanliness of this new world, but if it were anything like Earth, she wouldn't have been able to enter the restaurant without flicking off the bugs. Ton'yell was surprised she wasn't feeling more disgusted with the fact that she was willingly hiding a bug on her, but she supposed it had to do with her odd bond with beetles.

With Pierre choosing to go towards the inner pocket of her jacket, she placed her hand on Alex's shoulder and said, "For now, I think it'd be best for Jack and Jill to hide." The two blue beetles crawled up her arm and then slithered down to the front pockets of her jacket. They hadn't been with her long enough to know what she wanted them to do silently (like a certain proud french beetle), but they understood that she wanted to keep them from getting squished by ignorant people.

The woman opened the door to E-D Cuisine and looked around. She was wondering whether this would be the type of place where the group could go and sit wherever they pleased or if a waiter would be around to lead them to a table.

The restaurant was difficult to miss from the outside. It was painted red with white highlights and modeled after a retro restaurant with a neon sign that read "E-D Cuisine" in bold, neon letters. The inside was styled in a similar manner. At the front was a sign:

Seat yourself.

Shortly after finding a space large enough to accommodate their entire group, a woman with brown hair in a red uniform appropriate to the theme and wearing a white apron handed out their menus.

"Welcome to E-D Cuisine! My name is Sarah. Is there anything I can get you to drink or is water fine?" She asked with a smile.

The patrons of the restaurant were no different than the citizens on the street, but the employees appeared to be normal-looking.

Ton'yell looked up and gave the waitress a modest smile. "Water is fine, thank you." She opened her menu look at what was available. Thankfully for her, hamburgers were available as well as fries. At least I know I'll be able to eat that.

She was doubly glad for the hamburgers since it would mean that Alex wouldn't complain about the food choices. Ton'yell was fairly sure that the boy (or at least one of the personalities) enjoyed burgers.

Pierre wasn't exactly happy with his cramped quarters, but he took comfort in knowing that Jack and Jill were just as uncomfortable. He hoped that the waitress wouldn't take long on the group - the sooner he could get out of the jacket pocket, the better.

The waitress took brought everyone their drinks and took their orders. It was only a short matter of time before their food was brought to them and they were able to eat. Everything was well made, the ingredients were very high-quality, and the servings were large.

Ro had ordered a nice, juicy hamburger. A good choice. The others found their meals equally satisfying.

"So what now? We can't just stay 'ere indefinitely, now can we?" Alastair asked between bites of steak.
