Door 1 - The Snow Realm (The North Pole)

Arthur shrugged. "Let's just do it," he suggested.

Gregory hesitated, "How...how should we do this?" he asked timidly, "What if when we knock...something bad answers the door? Maybe...maybe it's already open, we just have to push..."

Henry and Ro walked around the chasm in the supposed direction of the castle. They had lost sight of both sides of the chasm and were completely surrounded by fog.
Ro sighed audibly, "I'm not sure I like this..." Ro said, straining his eyes for some sort of landmark.
As Ro strained, he swore he could see a faint blue outline of stalagmites just beyond their line of sight.

It began to get colder as they went deeper into the chasm. They came across an large stalagmite covered with mushrooms. Along the mushrooms, icy blue beetles, similar to the orange beetles, scuttled along the mushrooms busily.

Another growl was heard, this time much closer than what could be considered comfortable for either person. The beetles crawled into the mushrooms in a hurry.

"Okay, I don't like this."

Andreas groaned. "Fine, if nobody else, not even the damn GM, will take some initiative, I will." Andreas walked over and tested the doors' responses to both pulling and pushing.

Henry immediately spun so that his back was to Ro's, more or less. "We should get somewhere else," he muttered over his shoulder.

"You're breaking the fourth wall!" Gregory shouted. He sat quietly as Andreas tried the door.
There wasn't really anything to pull on, so pushing was the only option. The door yielded somewhat, but it was too heavy to push alone.

Gregory automatically joined in as did Arthur. Together, they managed to get the door open enough for somebody to slide through.

Before anyone could attempt this, however, a slot opened up in the door, startling the three as an elf with short black hair and wearing a surgical cap and mask peered through.

"Whoa, whoa, now, what do you think you're doin', now?" the elf asked, "You shouldn't just come barging into someone's castle like that, it's just rude! Knocking is the proper way."

Ro instinctively pressed his back against Henry's as Henry pressed his to Ro's.
"Maybe we sho-" Ro was cut off by a sneeze. He sniffed, there was another, much louder growl.

"Should." Ro finished, "Like now."

As they spoke, Ro noticed something up on a stalagmite jumping down and heading towards them. It was bipedal from the looks of it and looked to be similar to a very large ape or human of sorts.

Ro didn't want to be around to find out.

"Let's go!" Ro urged, pointing in a random direction.

The thing Reared up, pounded it's chest, and let out an earsplitting screech as it spotted Ro and Henry. It began to charge after them with alarming speed.

Arthur promptly knocked. "Let us in, we're freezing," he announced.

"Go! Go go!" Henry said. He trusted his danger sense enough that he figured he could turn his back on the thing to run, but Ro did not have that advantage.
"Where the Hell is that damn castle?" he called as he ran.

"Please," Andreas amended. "And sorry for just opening, didn't realize anyone was here."

"Hell if I know!" Ro called right back, "Let's just worry about getting away from that thing for now."

The creature was closing in on the two, but it was still a fair distance behind them. It growled as the two sped off and scooped a large rock into it's right hand as it ran.

It threw the rock with scary speed and accuracy at the two.

The elf sighed and rolled his eyes, "Alright, fine, if you don't mind being in a quarantine zone, you can come in."

He hopped down and closed the slot. Some mumbling could be heard and was soon followed by the door sliding open. The three were greeted by a group of six elves all clad in masks, caps, and gloves. There were four male and two female elves. The only noticeable differences between genders was the longer hair and slightly curvier figure.

"Come in, come in, it's warm. Just try not to touch anything." the elf from before said.

"Quarantine zone?" Kurtis repeated, halting before crossing the threshold.

"Weren't you told before you came here?" the supposed head elf asked as he furrowed his brow.
"The Boss is sick, we're trying to keep it from spreading..." a female elf with red hair and glasses chimed in.
"...It's not working so well, many of the others have gotten sick as well..." a male with blone hair and glasses went on.
"...We're doing our best to keep them contained in the upper levels..." a male with brown hair said.
"...But a few have escaped through the lower levels..." the other female, a brunette, added.
"...They're getting worse, there aren't many of us left." the last elf, a male with red hair and glasses finished.

The head elf sighed and rolled his eyes, "Why don'tchya just tell them our life stories?" he mumbled under his breath. He peered back up at Andreas and then at the bridge.

"So you came across that, eh? We would put up safety rails, but then it'd be too easy for infectees to leave and for undesirables to get in."

"It's okay, I'm a doctor," Arthur informed them. "We can stay here and help.

"And we did come across that. It's rather dangerous on the other side, we were attacked, so it's a good thing you've done that."

"Yeah, uh, what's up with the killer nutcrackers and the black-veined guys coming after us?" Andreas 'contributed.'  

[NativeForeigner]

"Good!" the head elf exclaimed, "We could always use more doctors."

He looked to Andreas to answer his question, "We're not really sure about the nutcrackers, the infected elves that got away are probably making them. But I'm not so sure about the black-veined guys...that's what's happening to the elves, it's one of the side-effects of the infection."

With his back turned to the rock, Henry skipped to one side and out of its way.
