Kibela is, and always has been, rather gruff and grumpy. He was quiet as a cub, preferring to sit in a corner and watch his siblings play instead of joining in himself. As he grew, it became clear that Kibela took after his father more than mother - putting on weight and muscle at an almost alarming rate. However, he is never cruel in his strength, simply very confident in a steady and rough manner. He's quick to protect those weaker than him - though he's also a bit of a loner and prefers it that way. Kibela has very few friends, and even fewer of those are really close to him. He hates noise and doesn't much like most cubs - though he will tolerate them if he has to.

Kibela's father was a Guard and his mother a Healer - an unlikely combination, but it worked, somehow. Most of his other siblings took after his mother, with only one other also growing larger like his father. When Kibela was a juvenile, he stumbled upon a small white cub who had managed somehow to piss off a hippo. That cub was Aberforth - and Kibela managed to distract the larger animal long enough for both of them to run away.
Apparently, Aberforth had stumbled upon the hippo's babies and the mother had thought the young lion meant them harm. From that point, an unlikely friendship sprang up between the two lions.
But not too much later, the time came for Kibela to choose what rank he would train for - and he chose Guard. As such, he went away for training and hasn't seen Aberforth for more than maybe an hour snatched here and there since then.
During the earthquake, Kibela was out on patrol and was blocked from getting back into the valley for a good while. After some time (and all the major events were over with), he managed to dig through a place in the wall by sheer strength. Now, he's just trying to figure out what all has been going on while he was gone.
Also, during the earthquake, Kibela's bird was killed by some falling rocks... and for a time, the Guard wandered alone. Then, out of nowhere, a small kestrel found him and attached himself to the large lion. The kestrel was quite a bit younger than Kibela's previous bird, and had a much 'brighter' personality. So Kibela is still getting used to that.
After coming back to the pride lands with his new companion, Kibela has mostly kept to himself, not really seeking out anyone's company.

Nashorme is a fairly friendly and outgoing lion. He is loyal to those he's chosen to protect and fierce when it comes to enemies. He does have one flaw, however... Sometimes, in matters of the heart, Nash can be a bit (or more than a bit) oblivious to what may seem obvious. One must simply hit him over the head with such things, at times. Nash is also something of a "mage", though the "magic" that he knows is really nothing more than illusion. He knows that, but he is very, very good at it. So much so that his audience would swear it's all real, though such things are impossible. He enjoys attention, to a certain degree, and loves to show off his tricks to any who are willing to watch.

In a place far away, there was a land split into several different factions along the lines of species. Each faction absolutely hated the other, and there was almost always war of some kind. Eventually, it all got to be too much, and the Seers of several different species met together and decided as a group to forcibly separate the species so that the warring would stop. They bullied the other species into moving to new areas, and then several of them took their own families and moved up onto the slopes of a mountain, so they could watch over the others and ensure the warring did not start again.
So, those on the mountain were composed of all different species, and lived together in harmony. Below, the different species went on about their lives for quite some time - and eventually, their enemies faded into legends of the past. The group of Seers had done their jobs so well that most quite simply forgot there was any other species of predator aside from themselves.
Into this land, Nashorme was born. His parents died soon after his birth - his father an older lion anyway and his mother from complications of childbirth. So, Nash became an orphan - wandering about the lands of the pride. Until one day, the son of one of the current leaders found him on the streets. This was Valen, a leopard.
Though Nash was not a Seer, Valen still saw potential in the youngster and took him in as a student, despite protests that he was not of the "correct" lineage for such a thing. Over the next few years, Valen taught Nash all that he knew of things such as reading the weather, and other signs of nature. He also taught Nash such "magic" as can be made by one with is quick of paw, and clever of mind. Of course, none of it was real - all illusion. But as Valen had thought ... Nash was a natural at such things.
It was around this time, that an outside threat appeared. A rather large pride was moving into the area, one that simply took what they liked and killed any who got in their way. Then, once they had used up all the resources in one place, they moved on to another. And much of the lands the Seers watched over was desirable to such a pride.
For the most part, the Seers shook their heads and argued and debated over what to do - but Valen had a revolutionary idea. He wanted to go out, and gather members of all the species in the area, and appeal to them to all help drive away the threat together. That way, they would surely have enough numbers to save themselves. Needless to say, the older leaders did not agree with this plan.
But Valen left anyway, in secret - taking his young student with him. At first, all went well - Valen's vision and will keeping the group together. But then, tragedy struck. A scouting party from the invading pride found Valen's small group of emissaries and attacked them.
In the chaos of the fight, Nash was injured and Valen shoved the young lion into a cave to hide him as the battle moved on. By the time Nash woke, the others were far away. Alone and confused, he stumbled out of the cave and unwittingly went completely the wrong direction.
He had never really been outside the lands of the Seers before, so he didn't know where he was, or how to get back home - or to find Valen and the others. It took some time for him to realize how completely lost he was, and by that point ... he had reached more populated lands - those more common to Rogues than prides.
It was there that Nash grew up the rest of the way - from time to time putting on small "shows" using the tricks that Valen had taught him, and wandering here and there. He had never stopped thinking about his home... but at the same time, he's more or less given up on ever finding it again.
Since then, Nash has met a few others, eventually meeting a quiet lioness named A'lora. The two quite quickly fell in love and wandered together for a time before discovering the Ela'wadiyi lands and asking to join that pride. They have been accepted into the pride and hope to soon have a family to raise there.

Maer'ksh is an extremely vicious young demoness. She fully enjoys tormenting anything and anyone she can get her paws on. There also seems to be something ... very wrong in her head. She talks in odd speech patterns, not one really ever the same, and jumps from one thing to another quite randomly.

Mear'ksh was not too difficult as a young cub, but she hardly ever spoke and simply glared at everyone about her incessantly, as if plotting to kill them.
As a juvenile, she followed her mother around everywhere, learning all that the older lioness would teach about pain and hurting other creatures.
As an adult, Mear'ksh has, if anything, gotten worse in her attitude toward others and he tendencies to hurt things. She absolutely loves causing pain and delights in blood and screams.

Poli is a rather laid-back, fun loving sort of leopard. He absolutely loves water, and swimming. He's friendly, a gentleman to the ladies, and willing to help just about anyone who needs it.

Poli was born as one of a litter of many. He had lots of siblings growing up, and several older siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles as well .... basically, a very large family. All of them lived in a spot farther south, near the coast. Most of the youngsters were taught to swim as a precaution, in case they fell into the water... but none took to it quite so well as Poli did.
The young leopard absolutely loved to swim, and would even sneak off at times to do so by himself. He was good at fishing as well and soon became one of the hunters for the group.
But one day ... a typhoon was blown off-course and crashed into their sheltered cove... killing many and separating the rest of the large extended family with sudden floods, downed trees, and all manner of other obstacles.
Poli found himself alone, washed up on the beach much farther north than he had ever explored before. Not knowing if the rest of his family was alive or dead, he tried to go back and look for them ... but was thwarted by a desert in between. There was no way to swim back to them either, as there was nothing but high cliffs for quite a few hours south of where he had washed up. So there was no where to get out of the water and rest and he was quickly exhausted.
So... mourning the loss of his family still, but determined not to let it get him down for long, Poli wandered north until he found another small cove and made himself a home there...though he has always wished for a family of his own. To perhaps, start over and honor his own lost birth family.

On the whole, Nzambi has a rather negative outlook on life, thanks to things that have happened in her past. Though a part of her wishes that everything was fair and good, she believes that she knows better. Another part of her longs for, and is fascinated with death ... though she hasn't ever really tried anything like killing herself. She just knows that eventually she will die, probably painfully and alone, and she doesn't seem to care. She also believes that she is incapable of having anything to do with life, including having pups.

Once, Nzambi had a normal life - a family, friends... a mate. She was even expecting a litter of puppies to be born soon ... when tragedy struck. Many have heard of the plaque that struck down the old leaders of the Pridelands and countless others. What they don't know, however, is that there were other sicknesses that were almost offshoots of that one - and they lurked in certain places about the lands. Water and trees and ground, simply waiting for victims to wander too near.
One of these rogue strands found, and caught, Nzambi's group. At first, it was only the young ones that died, getting far too hot, and then simply falling over and not getting up. But as time went on ... it got worse. The disease attacked adults, ancients, and young alike. And the symptoms became worse. Before the end of it all, there were some with half-rotted limbs, so tormented by pain and madness that they had gnawed at themselves until they bled and wounds became infected.
Nzambi was one of the "lucky" ones. She survived, but very few others did... her mate did not. Nor did her pups. They were stillborn while she was battling the disease herself and it was clear to all that even had they been born alive they would not have lived for long - because they too, showed signs of the sickness.
The others who survived soon picked up their lives and determined to try to start over... but Nzambi was heartbroken and weary of life... and so she wandered away one dark night - and was not seen again by any of the others.
Nzambi has since met Posca, the goddess of decay, and determined to follow her. In some kind of twisted way, she believes this will help her learn how to live again.

In quite a lot of ways, Shakil is more like his mother than his father. He's friendly and trusting to a fault - to his own demise at times. He'll believe good of others before bad, almost always. Though he wishes at times that he could be more like his mother in other ways, physically ... he takes after his father, so it is decided fairly early that he should probably be a warrior in the pride.
He loves his family and would do anything to keep them safe, though he doesn't really like fighting. But he understands the demons have to be stopped if anyone is going to be safe. So he learns to work hard and to steel himself to blood and killing ... though oftentimes one can find him alone after a battle - sometimes just sitting quietly and other times even crying softly to himself at the violence and pain of it all.

Shakil has chosen to go into the rank of Shetani'msasi, following in his father's pawsteps, though he's very uncertain about whether or not he'll be any good there.
As Shakil grows older, he's training more and more for the rank he will hold as an adult. He seems to have gotten over most of his uncertainty - though he still doesn't much like having to fight, he realizes that it's necessary.

Bhaltair is more of ... a noble sort of cheetah. He was raised in a group that prides itself on being pure and holding things like family values and strength above all else. They rarely let outsiders in, for when they do ... bad things happen. Having been witness to more than one of these things, Bhaltair is incredibly loyal to the group and to his family.
Toward others, he may seem cool at first, but he warms up quickly enough when he sees their intentions toward him aren't harmful. And if others' intentions are harmful, Bhaltair is more than able to protect himself. He's likely to make friends fairly easily, but it's doubful that he would trust anyone enough to take them back home with him.

Bhaltair comes from the same group that Eitsheth and Elua do - and he is Eisheth's brother, from the same litter. The two of them were pretty close growing up, though Bhaltair never really liked their cousin Elua. Even as a young cub, he shared the opinion of most of the older members of the group - that Elua was bad luck.
And he was glad when she was kicked out, because it meant that he got more of his sister's attention.
As the young cheetah grew, he eventually decided he wished to train to join the Order of Protection - a group that was part guard, part army, and part assassins. They took care of any disturbances requiring force, inside and outside the group.
Over time, Bhaltair became one of the better Protectors, if not the best... and most of that was because he didn't really want to lead, content to follow orders he was given and do well at his missions.
And then... his sister disappeared. No knew where she had gone, or why she had left, but it very nearly turned Bhaltair's world inside out. He still loved and, in a way, depended on his sister to be there for him - though if she had known how very much, she might not have gone without saying something to him. But ... she felt that if he had know why she left, he would try to stop her. Which he likely would have, considering his more traditional views and his early dislike of Elua.
Bhaltair's group has somehow discovered that Elua, the bad-luck cub, is still alive out there... and Bhaltair has volunteered to be the one to find her. And kill her once he does. He is also looking for his sister on the way, hoping that she isn't in any kind of trouble...

Because of the fact that all his siblings are girls, and he has never met his father, and has yet to see another male ... Gil is convinced that he is also a girl. He just thinks that his mane (short as it is now) is just longer hair.
He also thinks he's prettier than his sisters.
Even as a cub, he's a vain little thing and hates to get dirty or anything like that. He loves playing any sort of game that's not physical, which means riddles, story-telling, and things like that. He doesn't even like hunting, ducking out of hunting lessons whenever possible....

Mes-en is a very bold boy, quick to say what he thinks and feels like - and unwilling to accept anyone else's version of things. Fortunately, most of his ideas about life are good ones. He believes that everything should be fair and that no one should have too many riches or power.
To this end... as he grows, he'll become almost like a Robin Hood sort of lion - a highwayman for good and right.

Auri is a very peaceful sort of leopardess - though she hasn't really been allowed to have much peace for herself. She was born far away and taken against her will into a "sanctuary" where she had to fight to live ... only surviving now because she is also fairly stubborn.
Once escaped from this zoo with a bit of help, Auri is finding out that she has no real idea how to survive in the wild.

Auri was born far away, close to India ... and grew from a cub to juvenile fairly normally. Then, her mother was killed by hunters, and she was taken and put into a sort of "zoo" run by a very rich man. The animals he captured were fed until they were old enough to more or less live on their own and then released into a huge sort of park where tame deer were set free from time to time for them to eat.
From time to time the man would also go hunting himself in his park - as if to prove his manhood by killing an already captive creature. He would also sometimes rent out his park to others who wanted the same.
So Auri never has truly learned to hunt and has lived in fear of humans almost as far back as she can remember. But a part of her vaguely recalls her cubhood, and wishes that she could go back to that feeling of peace and happiness.
Then, the man who owns Auri moved, putting all of his animals into cages. Many of them have died along the way and are still dying in this new place, since they aren't even allowed a semblance of freedom. So the man has sent his hunters out into the wilds of Africa to gather more creatures to put into his little "zoo".
One of the lions captured in the hunt for new zoo-creatures was Taonga. Together, he and Auri managed to escape the zoo but now... Taonga only thinks of Auri as a burden to him. Confused by the wild and by her growing feelings for the male, Auri has set out on her own for a bit to learn how to be useful.

Daizell is an incredibly spunky and active young leopon. From day one, he's always loved to save others - to be the hero. He love stories about heroes and fairy tales and hopes that he'll eventually be a real hero to someone else.

Isako is a sweet girl who loves her mother and her family very much. She tends to kind of go with the flow of things, much like the waves in the sea. There is much that's still a mystery to her about life but as she grows it will be interesting to see how she develops...

Naida is a very pretty girl - and she knows it. She doesn't like to get dirty at all and longs for love from a prince... or a knight will do. For the moment, her mother won't let her be spoiled and stuck up about her beauty, but who knows what the future may hold...
