Starburstnova I think people that hate them, probably.
I mean...at least the ones who love them and think they know them at least like the song, and HOPEFULLY will go learn more...but the people that hate them for one song and don't even give them a chance...? I think that bugs me more. sad

hehehe, i only know about the 2 said songs sweatdrop stressed but i know i wouldn't say i really know about them @_@ lol that's why m n this guild in the first place, to know more about 'em ^^

yeah maybe i started liking FOB cuz of SWGD but then i got the FUTCT cd and then i got TTTYG cd and now i know like all the songs on both
if anyone has trublez with the abbreviations let me know and i'll translate lol

What bothers me is people who hate bands but have only heard one or two songs by them.
Like my friend Cassie who doesn't like FOB only because she doesn't like Sugar We're Going Down.
That really made me mad and I didn't talk to her for a week.
But then I realized that that meant more FOB for me.

QF - GOOD POINT.
I really don't know anyone that loves Fall Out Boy just for one or two songs either. And if I do, well...I don't really mind. I'm like "That's cool. If you like that, you'll probably like their other stuff too... wink *hint hint wink wink*" Usually they'll ask me to hear more. They don't claim to know everything about them.
However, I do know people that hate them from what little they've heard, and that just pisses me off. neutral

It all bugs me because even if I hear the stupidest song, I make sure I check out a few of the hypothetical band's other songs before I criticize them. If someone comes up and asks me about that band, and all I knew was their hit song that is waaaay overplayed(sadly this is true for SWGD...but this has nothing to do with FOB, I loved them from the first time I head GTA/WIYB?) I'd just say, "I don't know, I haven't heard a lot of their stuff". However, I will criticize said song.

I completetly agree with that. You can't bash a band if you don't know much. You can bash the little you know, but not the whole band.

I said people that 'Hate Fall Out Boy'.
I think people need to atleast give the band a chance.
If you've heard one song, you have not heard them all.
I listen to bands where there are songs I dislike.
But it doesn't mean I dont listen to the songs I love.
I think every band/artist should have an equal chance, and with more than one song.
Debut stuff isn't always the best stuff to get a first impression from.
People need to check out the rest of the information before they make a final judgement.

I think that what bothers me most, is when people say Fall Out Boy(or any band, for that matter) is sucky, and they've only heard one song, or have just heard from other people that they suck. Just unreasonable and st00pit.

Haha I know this girl in my 5th period class who was all like
'LYKE OMG I LURFF FOB DANCE DANCE N SUGAR WE'RE GOIN DOWN R LYKE SOOO AWESOMEEE!!!'
And then I asked her to name 3 other songs besides those two from 'From under the cork tree'
And she couldn't...
It was really VERY funny!!!

I'm annoyed by both people that hate them and people that "like" them. I'm annoyed by the people that hate them because they most likely haven't heard any other songs besides SWGD and Dance, Dance OR they haven't cared to listen to any others. It's amazing how many comments I get when walking down the halls with my Fall Out Boy hoodie on at school. I get a bunch of "FALL OUT BOY SUCKS!!!"s, "-sinckergigglefitpointhaha-"s, and "I can't believe you could support such losers.". (If you're going to hate them, fine, whatever JUST HAVE A REASON FOR IT) When this chick who has only heard SWGD and Dance, Dance get's "I LOVE FALL OUT BOY!!"s, and "THAT'S A NICEEEE SHIRT!", when she wears her FOB shirt. And she gets those comments from the same people that comment on my hoodie. I'm like "Hello? Same band we're talking about, here.". Pisses me off.
I'm annoyed with people that like them because of SWGD because most of them don't know the rest of their music. AND most of the people that haven't heard the rest of their music and only like them because of SWGD most likely wouldn't like them if they had heard all of it. I'm fine with new FANS just not new teenies (or teenies in general for that matter. But that's a different rant...a longer one at that). Fin.

I started out lisening to only SWGD and DD. I love them now and know like, at least 10 of their songs by heart.
My cousin only knows like 3 songs, and he thinks he's such a fan. x.x I know more than him, and I've really only been listening to the for a month.
I'm still a dedicated fan.

People who love them for that song, and think they know them.
And, people who hate them for that one song.
