Personality: Mith is a deliberate thinker. He does not let his feelings rule his reactions nor his decisions. He has a tender heart, but shields it carefully with slow, ent-ish thought. As a result, he also is a very stable, dependable fellow. Little shakes or shocks him. When someone is let into his heart, he shows a calm reassurance, an abiding love, and an undying wish to do what is best for the other person.
History: He was the only cub of his mother, and knew right off that something was different. He became aware of the gods, and the likelihood that his father was one. He handled his visions with some trepidation at first, and with acceptance as he matured.
A pattern formed, and he realized most of his visions were of a specific gathering of creatures. He began to recognize those present for deaths, and occasionally those who had died in previous visions, or those in later ones. As an adult, he finally decided it was time. This place, this pride, drew him like a moth to a wildfire, though the dangers were uncertain along the way.
He wandered the roguelands, asking after the pride, learning as he paid more attention to his visions that they were sick, dying mostly from a specific disease. This information helped to further his attempt to find it, but the true break-through was when he met a quiet lioness with a very large snake. She offered to lead him to it, and along the way he came to find out she was the goddess of blood. He found her a fast friend, and together they entered the pride he'd sought for so long. Kitwana'antara welcomed them both, enfolding them into its ecclectic ranks.
Shortly after this acceptance, Veri, the goddess, gave birth to a litter of cubs. Mith had been unaware that she'd been pregnant, but when presented with the opportunity to take charge of some of them, he did so willingly. Veri traveled often, and needed someone to ensure her cubs were raised properly. They were mortal cubs, thank goodness, but that hardly mattered. Mith took them in, treated them as lovingly as if they were his own, and began a new life as a sudden father of cubs not his own.

Personality: Damu likes shinies. If it gleams, glows, sparkles, or makes a pretty sound, he'll want it. Aside from this, he tends to be a very physical, brutish lion, though not cruel or vicious. He merely knows how to use his superior weight, size, and skills to his own advantage. He does not see himself as evil, though he might, in a fit of introspection, admit to being selfish. He secretly hopes his mother never finds out he is part of the Stormborn, as his conscience pricks him that she would be dismayed and disappointed in him. However, he's good at pressing this to the back of his mind and forgetting about it.
History: Born a rogue, with very old Pridelander genes, he and his sisters and mother wandered for his entire life. He began to roam as a teenager, growing into himself and finding what he liked in the world. When he became adult, he left the family group permanently. He'd had enough of sisters and motherly behavior... he wan'ted something masculine for his life!
His path in life was determined by a chance discovery one day. A beaten copper band, thin enough that it could bend under pressure, but thick enough that it was battered but whole. With the help of a handy babboon, he soon had leather thongs tied to new holes in either end of the curved piece, and tied it around his leg, just below his shoulder. He felt a swell of pride, and began hunting for more such treasure. It wasn't long before he realized, most beautiful things already had owners. That could be changed, however!
Now, he wasn't so foolish as to try and steal things on his own, but he wised up to how others are doing it... in groups! He happily added his might to that of the group in order to acquire his own pretties. This led him to the pride of lions who did this exact thing, all the time! With a swiftly beating heart, he joined, pitting his might against one of their reavers. His first try was botched, but soon now, he'll be one of them! He'll keep a hoard-spot, either in his den or a secret spot, in an old, battered seachest. In it he will store any treasures he is not actually wearing himself. He'll be doing his best to bedeck himself in lovely things, strutting about to show off his good fortune and prowess.

Personality: Ruko was a giver, one who lived to please others and ease their discomfort. He possessed an amazing imagination that served him well in entertaining his many siblings as well as anyone else who was willing to stop and listen. It had him on the path to becoming a Bard. He loved everyone, but most especially his very large family. To him, they were the joy of his life.
History: Ruko, being born into the diseased pride, swiftly became sick during his cubhood. However, this did not seem to weigh him down at all, even when other cubs could go out and play. Instead, his imagination gave him wings, and he would soar into worlds beyond the pain and suffering that he and others experienced. He invented stories he seemed to half live in himself, an out from reality. These stories he saw as his gift to those he loved, which was everyone!
As he grew, he remained small and weak, much scrawnier than his more healthy siblings. He rarely had the strength to go anywhere, but would commonly get rides from friends, such as Beo the hyena. He gained some strength when he became an adolescent, for he was getting too large for anyone else to carry. It was during this brief, happy time in his life that the most amazing thing happened to him.
The goddess of pestilence, the deity that the pride worshipped, graced him with her intimate company. Not only was this honor bestowed upon him, he was further blessed to have her hand over to him four precious, beautiful cubs that resulted from that visit. They were his pride and joy, but also his sadness. For after they came to be with him, he soon realized that he would not be there for them for very long. Quietly, he went about putting his affairs in order. He arranged for his adopted sister to be surrogate parent to his cubs, for he knew he could trust Haruma to love them well.
Without much fuss and fanfare, he asked his father to help him out into the wilds and to leave him there, to die beneath the stars. It was a release, a final exciting journey that he could travel with more than just his imagination. At peace with the world, he died a happy adolescent lion.

History: Vigo had a fling with Talayeh, who was exasperated to be left with cubs. She handed her entire litter over to Elera'plova, who had a litter of her own cubs at the time. Elera took the waifs in, though she is by no means the motherly sort, and brought them all back to K'A. She leaves them for the nannies to tend and is emotionally distant from them. Her companion bird, Piera, tries to make up for that lack as much as she can, and is called Auntie Bird by both litters of cubs.
Tara began dreaming of others' past events very early on. She sometimes woke screaming. This began shortly after arriving at K'A, but after she met Rian and Ruko, whom she snuck back with one night and established herself quietly in their family's den instead of with her sibs. She grew with the two brothers being her best friends, and picked Rian as her mate when they are old enough. They live a quiet but happy life, though she and her mate still mourn Ruko's death.

Personality: Modya is a gentle soul in his old age. He goes about his life, attempting to make the lives of others better. He has become known for fulfilling last wishes of those on death's bed. History: Long ago, when Modya was king of the Kitwana'antara, he was bold and brave. But the pride was dying a slow and painful death. Cubs were in short supply, and without babies the pride would waste away into nothing. Stirred by desperation, Modya staged raids on other prides, stealing cubs for themselves. At the time, this seemed a stroke of brilliance, as the cubs were loved and cared for as their own.
However, unsurprisingly, the pride they'd stolen the babes from took great exception. What ensued was a brutal and devastating war. Many died, and the cubs were returned to their proper families, leaving Kitwana'antara more befreft than ever. After much pleading with the goddess of Pestilence, they were granted some reprieve, though the disease remains a problem to this day.
Modya stepped down in favor of his daughter, much shamed and distraught over the disastrous results of his actions. He remains an adviser to the queen, but individual feelings towards him are mixed. Some blame him for the horrendous outcome, others do not lay blame at his paws, while others simply see it as the progression of life. For now, though, he keeps his head down, offers his help to any and all, and tries valiantly to make amends for his mistakes.

History: Renado wandered without purpose until the day he caught a glimpse of a goddess, who gathered tales and stories. Smitten with her other-worldly beauty, he swore to gather folk tales, myths, histories, and stories for her sake. Each time he learned a story, he chose an object to represent it and carefully stored it in a bag that is held around him by a strip of heavy hide.
One day, an eagle circled him, then dive-bombed him excitedly. He found himself unexpectedly accompanied by the cheerful, feisty bird. She convinced him that they were meant to be partners, bondmates, and that she needed him to come back home to her pride, where he would find his place in the world. Not really adverse to at least exploring the idea of having his own special place in the world, he conceded, and found himself surprisingly at home.

Personality:
History: Born of the goddess of Pestilence and a father dying of the plague, she lost her father very early in life. She and her siblings were adopted by their 'aunt' Haruma. Her mothergranted her at least temporary immunity to the disease. As an adolescent, recruiters from a distant pride arrived to entice her to come with them. Tired of the reminders of a father she couldn't remember as well as the grief of everyone around her, she decided to go.
One in her new pride, she tried to learn the ways of the oracle, but failed to have any sort of vision. One day it finally happened, though it turned out to be an intensely personal sort of vision. It sent her out on a quest to find a male she knew she was meant to find, but had no clear image of. In her travels, she met the grief-stricken Marcor. Her heart was touched, and she guided him through the process of grieving. In doing so, she fell headlong in love with him, and he with her. Overjoyed, she has led him back to her misty home to live happily ever after... or so she hopes!

History: It's a classic tale of swift, passionate love that faded away to nothing. He had dearly loved his mate, loved the girls they raised together, but after the girls were grown, things rather fell apart. At loose ends and not knowing what to do with himself, Beara wandered the roguelands, until he met a pretty, shy girl from the mysterious pride of Tianxia.
