If any of you even bothered to read up on your history the British were Celtic or considered a branch of Celtic culture(Celt does not refer to a single tribe but instead refers to any native of ancient northern and western Europe prior to Roman conquest) and believed in the Celtic religion of druidism hence Wicca is a modern revival of older Celtic beliefs though not the entire religion(that’s neo-druidism). However there are certain elements of Wicca that are not considerd celtic and as a result must be additions made by others.
If you don’t believe me just ask and ill provide links to sites that prove what I just said

Celts - is a modern term used to describe any of the European peoples who spoke, or speak, a Celtic language.
The closest the Celts came to Britain is Scotland. There is no proof Celts were ever in England.
Druidism was never a religion, it was made up entirely of lawyers, doctors, etc.
Druids disappeared from written history in then 2nd Century AD.
Neo-Druidism (or Druidry as they call it) is 90% bullshit, 10% possible truth.
Edit: Celtic isn't a religion or a belief either

Actually Wales would be the closest thing to Britain because it's off the British Coast if I'm not mistaken. ie the Welsh. In any case, Wicca is a mix and mash of different things stemming from Old Relgions to new practices like the Golden Dawn, Thelema, Freemasonry, etc. But it's a new religion all on it's own.

Only those who are intellectually dishonest or willingly ignorant would see it as a bad thing.

But hey, she is a crew member in a "Wiccan" guild that is pro-Solitary Wiccan, so you can guess how that works when you tell her there is no Solitary Wicca.
