Blaze breathed a sigh of relief. The Labtechs were finally gone.
Geez, this is so troublesome, he thought, disgruntled. He felt it was time to take the fighting to the source: Gambino.
He ran to the Gambino mansion, eager to put a stop to the attacks. It seemed that he wasn't the only one thinking that. Along the way, he met a few friends. Well, more than a few, actually. They all met in front of the Gambino estate.
The first one there had been a girl named Aria. She had long blonde hair, striking blue eyes, and was currently dressed in a blue military jacket and a long white scarf. She was one of the most serious out of the entire group, but also one of the quietest. When Blaze had met up with her, she had told him that 'the others were coming'. Blaze, of course, understood what that had meant.
Then next to arrive was Kaoru, an ex-Labtech. He had quit after the G-Virus incident, and still held a grudge against the Gambinos for being subjected to the virus. He had brown hair and blue eyes, which were always furrowed as if he had just smelt something foul. Kaoru was almost never happy with anything, and on the rare occasions he was, people worried.
After him were the two twins, Sakura and Kei. Kei had a fiery temper and was not known for his benevolence, but his sister made up for everything else. She was sweet, kind, and timid. The two were like Ying and Yang: they were two halves of a whole. Oddly enough, Kei was also a lot tamer when in the presence of his sister, almost to the point of hilarity. Today, Kei was dressed in a black coat and was wearing a white scarf, and Sakura was wearing a white coat with a black scarf. "We might as well just change your names to Ying and Yang," Blaze had quipped, earning him a kick in the shin from Kei.
Gardenia, Blaze's girlfriend had arrived shortly after the two twins. She was a rather generously-proportioned, kind woman with an air of elegance to her. But today, everyone shivered when she came. Gardenia really was scary when she was mad. He brown hair, which was normally in an immaculate bun, was disheveled and her green eyes were glinting with fury. Blaze had managed to calm her down, but just barely.
Ming came only a few minutes after. He was one of the few Gaians that seemed to not rely on rings, for he beat up monsters with his bare hands and feet. His hair was as neat as ever, for he was constantly calm. In fact, it was rare to see Ming get worked up about much. However, his eyes, which were usually narrow slits, were open, showing his rust-colored eyes. One who knew Ming well knew that it meant that Ming was fully serious.
The last one to arrive was a man named Alex. He was the most powerful of the group, and also the most androgynous. His long, white hair was tied up into a ponytail, as always, and his purple-blue eyes were steely as he looked up at the Gambino Estate.
"Let's go inside," Alex said, signaling for the others to follow him to the doors of the mansion. Surprisingly, the doors were not locked.
Inside was pure chaos. There were possibly hundreds of Gaians, all fighting against grunnies, labtechs, and other monsters. Gambino was nowhere to be found.
"Come on! Let's go!" Alex barked, and the rest of the group followed. As Blaze followed the rest, he looked worriedly at the rest of the Gaians, wishing them the best of luck.
The group ran down the halls, opening every door they passed, but still Gambino was nowhere to be found. There were labtechs and grunnies and Gaians, but no Gambino.
"There! I saw him over there!" Sakura gasped suddenly, pointing down the hallway, and the group took off. Sure enough, when Blaze, who was at the back of the group, turned the corner, he saw Gambino's shoe disappearing around a corner. Aria, the speediest of the group, let loose a burst of speed and ran ahead, finding herself in a rather large room...with Johnny K. Gambino.
The rest of the group ran into the room in a rather dramatic style. Alex skidded to a stop, brandishing a sword he had summoned from a ring, Sakura tripped, Kei quickly helped her up, Gardenia and Kaoru pointed their bow and gun at Gambino, respectively, Ming struck a few kung-fu poses for no reason other than to look intimidating, and Blaze stood by the side, glaring at Gambino. Aria subtly rolled her eyes.
The whole group shouted insults at Gambino, resulting in not one being fully heard by the large man, but the message was clear.
Gambino...was going down.

Kaoru and Gardenia both shot at Gambino, but to no avail. All the shots missed, or rather they were expertly dodged. However, Ming and Alex had gone under the cover of the bullets and arrows and had struck Gambino. Ming had leapt up and sent his leg into Gambino's shoulder, and Alex had slashed Gambino across the chest, sending him staggering back.
"Yeah!" Blaze grinned, for he had sent a Fire Storm blast to the right of Gambino so that the man would be driven into that particular spot. Sakura was busy healing everyone's wounds, as she was the team medic. Gambino soon came back with his own attack, though, which involved punching Kei away and sending the boy flying into Kaoru, who was forced to stop shooting.
"Watch it!" Kaoru growled.
"Hey, I didn't choose to be sent here, b*****d!" Kei spat back, as he had a tendency to get foul-mouthed whenever he was under stress...or at any time, for that matter.

Blaze set off another explosion near Gambino. However, Gambino managed to avoid the blast, and charged straight into Aria, whom had grimaced at the light given off by Blaze's explosion. She was knocked into the air, but managed to land on her feet.
"I think we'll be feeling this battle tomorrow, even with Sakura healing us," Gardenia sighed as Sakura activated one of her many healing rings and began to heal Aria's wounds.
"Pft, you're not the ones fighting on the front lines," Ming commented, rolling to avoid getting hit by one of Gambino's giant fists.
"Keep shooting," Kaoru said sharply, and Gardenia did as such.
