Response: If anything at all, Nketchi found herself feeling as though she were above the rest. Better then any hyena pup that walked the world before her. She kept her head up as she followed her mother to her new clan. She knew, in her heart that she was as perfect as her mother thought she was. However, the feisty youth discovered to her mothers' chagrin that her definition of perfect was not the same as her mothers. Where Nketchi felt everything she did was perfect because she did it, it was clear that even she could not get away un-scolded with all behaviors. Running off was one of the things that had caused her mothers ire.
Today, as they traveled under the hot sun, she found little to pique her interest and cause her to run off. No, instead she drew inward and the pup began to consider her brothers. What would happen to them, without females around? Her lips lifted slightly at the idea of males living without serving females. This seemed almost blasphemous to the little pup- everything she knew, she knew from her mother and her actions. It was completely and totally ludicrous to the little female that her siblings shouldn't accompany her back to her new clan- they'd make find slaves. Even blood ties with her brothers couldn't separate what they were from their destiny, in her eyes.
As they neared the lands of the Nguvu'Utawala, Nketchi lifted her chin higher- she knew she was as amazing as her mother thought her to be, and the narcissistic pup would take advantage of her gender to parade about the pack as she saw fit- at least, until someone deflated her ego a bit.

Response: Outwardly, Ita is your typical submissive and obedient servant. On the inside, he's angry and not just with his mother, with the world. He doesn't think highly of his mother so he doesn't believe there was any reason for her picking him. It was all just a matter of bad luck on his side. Escape has never really crossed his mind because he would rather live in the pride and make the best of things than die a coward. He's aware of what they do to disobedient males and his mother would not think twice about him being her son. Life will be difficult for him but he will learn quickly about how to put on two faces. So being obedient and submissive will just be another means to survive.
In his mind, Ita hardly thinks of his mother and likes to keep it that way. She hardly treated him like a son so why should he think of her as a mother? If anything, he should thank her for turning him into the hyena he has become. With no mother to support him, Ita will develop a very strong sense of self and develop his own set of morals and beliefs. He's a strong, independent male stuck in a submissive role.
In his future, I can see him finding a kinder female in the pack and not minding fathering her children. Though he would probably be very hesitant because he would not want to subject his male children to what he's had to go through. He seems to have a soft spot for male and female cubs as a result of this. Also, he has no interest in being a Royal Consort because he doesn't believe in furthering the system. Though I would find it interesting if he was picked because of his strong nature and was unable to refuse. (That would be all up for discussion between CJ and pinch, I'm just tossing out some ideas I have. haha. )
(I'm unsure about Ita and his sister's relationship. It depends on what kind of personality she has so if I win, I want to discuss and plot with the owner of the girl to determine that. It could really go either way. If she's like their mother, he probably won't think twice about her and let her do her own thing. But if she's kinder then he could have a better relationship with her.)

Name/Meaning for Pup: Sefu (Swahili for Sword)
Personality: He doesn't quite share the same dislike for females as his father and not having a mother has made him rather curious about the other gender. I can see him being a bit (or at least attempt) to be a womanizer as an adult. Though without the compassion that mothers usually give, Sefu has turned out rather aggressive and has a hot temper. Patience is not one of his virtues and when things don't go his way, he doesn't really handle those situations as well as he could. He likes asserting his dominance at least over other males so getting into fights would be a typical day for him. Sefu probably won't be too popular among other male hyenas but he'll definitely put on a different side for females.
