like self mutilation
its fine if he is a good little christian boy, but if he was gothic it might mean trouble

I love Dark Alliance (since I can't really spell "Baulders" to where I think it looks like I spelled it right)! I've beat the first one, but #2 is a lot harder, IMHO. Which one are you playing?

Though the particular thread in question may be construed as satire, the flyer it references is a real product of the nutty-religious movement.
*advocates good ED satire*

hmm, let's see...

-Frequently wears black clothing.
I like the Velvet Underground, and look like crap in most colors.
-Wears band and/or rock t-shirts.
-Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos.
-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.)
I will listen to Bauhaus and Joy Division, but I despise Marilyn Manson. Not sure if this is considered a no-no. Besides, Manson isn't Goth.
-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.
Hippies, rich e-business types, women who wear skirts over their pants.
-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.
I never had much interest in "wholesome" activities to begin with, so I'm not sure whether this one counts.
-Takes drugs.
...none of your goddamn business.
-Drinks alcohol.
...'fraid so. Hey, isn't alcohol a drug? If it isn't, why do I feel so wrecked after ten shots of whiskey?
-Is excessively awake during the night.
I can't sleep.
-Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.)
I wear sunglasses on cloudy days
-Demands an unusual amount of privacy.
My girlfriend demands an unusual amount of time spent together.
-Requests time alone and quietness. (This is so that your child may speak to evil sprits.)
See above. Should this really be a separate criterion?
-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this.
Let us not forget cops, judges, politicians and large corporations.
-Eats excessively or too little.
-Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature.
-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer.
-Dances to music in a provocative manner.
When you've had three gin and tonics and a six pack of Long Trail and someone puts on some Soullive, you dance. Even if you are a horrible dancer like myself.
-Is homosexual and/or bisexual.
Technically bi, though I like women the best
-Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism.
Does an interest in comparative religions count? Probably. Any intellectual leanings at all would probably suggest witchcraft to these torch-mob peasants.

I would seem to be Goth.
I should ask Jesus to refer me to a psychiatrist in my area.

CONCLUSION: this is the crap that occurs when one combines religion and science. It is currently hip for christian zealots to publish books and articles for the express purpose of attempting to couple the most recent scientific discoveries with fanatical proselytizing. This unholy union brings forth erroneous conclusions damaging to the general public. Just because an individual managed to get a doctorate somewhere does not mean he/she is beyond reproach! If I find more examples of this phenomenon I will post them here, because they are strangely funny.

-Takes drugs.
I'm sure they don't know that coffee is a drug thats legal. so technically everyone who drinks coffee are drug addicts. eek Do you know how many people can't get through a day with out a coffee shot? painkillers anyone?
-Drinks alcohol.
Alcohol would and should be considered a drug, but because its legal it's not.
The weird thing is Coca(sp? I'm not sure how its spelled, its a plant thats chewed) is illegal even though it's more like coffee than any drug.
A little something cuz I wanna b***h...

-Frequently wears black clothing.
Black is slimming, and black goes to all colors except: pink, turquoise, and yellow (The last one is mostly because, few people can pull off yellow...) sweatdrop [there are more colors but my mind is blank right now]

Opium comes from poppies and heroin comes from opiates... its sad to think that one flower can cause so much mental instability.

Earth horizontal line, Underworld- verticle line. Just don't kill me. gonk , it was used later in the third dynasty as a symbol of life, but still retained its Major purpose. sweatdrop

Why would I kill you? I was going off knowledge from the top of my head, and a subject I studied years ago as an elementary school child.

We're here to learn, not castrate each other. wink
