He's A Secret Agent Man~! Username: YourxStarlessxEyes SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Khayal (“Shadow” in Arabic) Personality: Khayal is truly a loner. He likes to work and hunt, and that’s about it, although he sometimes enjoys riddles or a mental puzzle. He’s very stoic and never shows his emotions, yet he is dedicated to his tribe. He seems hardened in order to not be affected by the general ways of life and death in the tribe, and he has great intelligence along with a very swift rate of comprehension. He is a protector, but not one who is seen often. He is almsot apathetic, but there is a fierceness in him that is dormant for now. Khayal moves quickly, thinks of all options, and is just a tiny bit paranoid. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?:Khayal has been trained since he was a juve to be a spy. He was apart from the pride for many years, and really does not have any friends. Now that there is a temporary lull in work, he is often found lounging when he’s not hunting, bored out of his mind. He is often avoided, for even though he’s supposedly just a hunter, many feel that there is something under the surface. He is respected for that, but most of the tribe are intimidated or even afraid of him, and avoid him. Any curious cubs are often scared off quickly by his piercing eyes and gruff voice. How does he feel about his dual life and secret rank of Spy?Khayal buried his feelings long ago. All he knows is his work, but he sometimes gets touchy when the stray cub asks what he does in the tribe. Immune Personality: Hakima always seems to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, constantly alert and paying attention. She also seems to be everywhere, especially when she’s least expected to be there! She’s a bit of a gossip, and she always enjoys checking up on current lions she’s aiding. She’s a little mischievous, and has a way of blending in that or appearing occupied that allows her to listen in on conversations. She may appear to be unconcerned about or dismissive of any apprehension of the adolescents to she matches, an some may even call her a little insensitive, but that is really just shield. Hakima is really affected by seeing her matches die, and a part of her hates it, or at least that part of the job. She truly cares about everyone in the pride, and wants to make them as comfortable and happy as possible during their lives. Therefore, she is meticulous with matches and only extremely rarely does a pair of hers end up unhappy with each other. What has her life been like within the pride up until now?: Hakima was always told she was lucky as a cub when it was discovered she was immune to the disease of the tribe. She was rarely treated any differently, although she was sometimes a bit lonely when her friends were too tired to play. She was never afraid until adolescence, when some of her friends began to reach the last stage of the disease. She was grateful for being immune, of course, but did not truly have an idea of it until her best friend died just after reaching adulthood. That lioness never had a mate, had never even had the beginning of a courtship, and it broke Hakima’s heart. That’s why she vowed to do what she could to help other lions have some happiness with another before they died. How does she feel about being Head Matron? Was this a dream of hers or was it more of a surprise? Hakima wanted to become a matron, but never expected to be the head. She finds it an honor and takes great pleasure in working every day in her friend’s honor. What's a typical day like for our Head Matron? Hakima usuallys gets up to meet with adolescent girls or older juve girls in order to get their preferences and personalities. Then she’ll go socialize and try scout in-pride matches, maybe talk to some guys, then go and meditate/organize matches. Later in the evenings she’ll work on the upkeep of the pride geneaology, and some days she’ll visit old matches and/or their offspring. At different times, she’ll also plan courtships/weddings and about once a week or once every couple of weeks, she’ll go into the rogue lands to look for matches to bring back. What's her favorite part of being the Head Matron or a Matchmaker in general, if anything? Hakima’s favorite thing is seeing the matches she made end up happy, especially ones that were resisted. Saying I told you so is a great joy of hers, as is when she’s invited to view the cubs of one of her matches. Is the Father Immune, Carrier or Diseased? Immune
Is the Daughter Immune, Carrier, or Diseased? Diseased
Personality of the Father: Kind and compassionate, though these qualities are sometimes over-looked due to his stern way of speaking and over-protective manner in which he treats his daughter (which sometimes comes off as harsh). He fears that his daughter will end up like his mate if she over exerts herself, and because of this Rajua has a tendency of not allowing her to play with other cubs or explore. He is outspoken in his opinions and beliefs, and wishes that none of the pride was allowed to leave the lands, though he knows it's important to gather outside resources.
Personality of the Daughter: Daraja is hot-headed and rambunctious, though she doesn't have as much energy as she makes out herself to because of the disease. Still, she detests her father's coddling. More often then not she can be seen harassing him by gnawing on his ears or tail or trying to sneak out of the den (sometimes trying to cause enough of a ruckus to be kicked-out). She knows of how dangerous the disease can be; but, outwardly she tends to be ignorant of it and in denial that she even has it, deep down fearing and resenting the result it could bring.

What happened to the mother (and other litter mates, if there were more cubs)? Rajua's mate was highly affected by the disease -- there were very few days when she didn't show signs of the sickness. She had not always been like this; when the lions had first met and began to fall in love the signs seemed almost nonexistent in his mate's life.
Later she had wanted cubs, and even though Rajua pleaded and begged his mate that cubs were not a good idea, he finally gave in. The added stress of bearing those cubs paired with the effects of the disease left his mate too weak to continue living after delivery. She had three in total, and all three were nursed from another female who'd recently had cubs. His mate had passed while being able to see all three still alive, having much hope for them. Sadly two of the cubs did not make it, and Rajua had not been able to do anything for them. He was, however, able to save the first born: his daughter. She is the last thing left in his world.
What is the Father's history and life been like? Rajua did not always want to be a healer, nor had he always wanted a family or a life within the pride. When he was much younger he spent most of his days playing with the other cubs, getting into trouble and trying not to cause too much ruckus when there seemed to be a swell in the sick pride members. His parents were both carriers; he seemed to be one of the lucky pride members that was passed over by the sickness. He never brought this up while speaking to others though, thinking it would be poor taste.
He was an adolescent when he first met his would-be mate, and she was just a cub. Of course there were no romantic feelings at first, but no matter how many times he'd tell the little lioness cub to leave him alone and stop following him she would just keep at it, even on the worst of her sick days. It was then that he decided to begin learning the art of healing. As he gained knowledge of the art and the little lioness started to grow up, he found he did not mind so much when she'd keep 'bothering' him or spend time with him. He has always strived to find a cure for the lions of his pride, and for a long time all of his inspiration and energy came from the love he carried for the female.
When they became mates he thought nothing could make him happier, but it seemed for her that this was not the case. She strived to have a family, to birth cubs. He argued against this, stating that they could be happy together even if it was just the two of them. Often he found his words hurt her and made her believe that he did not love her with his whole heart, so finally he gave in.
The birth of their children was a very sad one, as it caused his mate's already weak health to lower more and for her to pass on. Afterwards two of his cubs did not make it, leaving him only with his young daughter. He feels both blessed and cursed by his daughter, and while she is his whole entire world he can not help but feel bitterness and resentment toward her on some of the colder nights.
How does the Daughter view her life in a diseased pride? Since her father tends to keep her inside, she finds the whole pride rather infuriating. She hates being kept inside because she is sick, and she hates that she was even born into this pride, wondering why it even exists if no one can leave and wondering why doesn't everyone just off themselves (since they're going to die anyway) and save the world the trouble.
She's still a child, though, so over time her attitude should mature and change.
What is the relationship between Father & Daughter like? Their relationship is often strained, and a little broken. Rajua can do nothing but try and keep his daughter safe, and when he is not trying to keep track of every little thing she's doing he finds himself working with herbs, and studying constantly trying to find something new in concerns to medicine. He has a hard time trying to find the right words to show her affection and to let her know that he loves her because he's always trying to keep her safe. The daughter often tends to misinterpret his attempts at affection as overbearing, and lashes back angrily more often than not. But when Daraja is particularly ill Rajua can be seen tenderly caring for his daughter, and her curling up close to her father trying to hide her fear of the sickness.

What future rank will the daughter likely be? Probably end up a Nanny, though she might attempt being a Hunter.

Always I Wanna Be With You!Username:Depawsit SoA Name & Meaning (if applicable): Pumbaa'Mlinzi - 'The Thoughtless Protector' in Swahili Future Possible Rank in the Pride: Apothecary Is he diseased, a carrier or immune? Carrier Personality: A loyal and dedicated protector through and through. Mlinzi will do anything within his power to protect the ones he loves, and even those he may personally dislike but others may favor. Even though he is far from fit enough to physically protect them, it doesn't hinder him from trying. He will never give up on trying, and may push himself much further than his limits allow in order to try. In most cases his protection comes in a mental form. He gives others a shoulder to cry on, and an ear to talk to. He does his best to give them a cheery bit of advice in order to make their day better, because if he can ever get them to laugh a little; perhaps that's all the ever needed. His motto is very fondly 'Laughter is the best medicine.' Loyal is the understatement of the century for this young lion, but you'd be hard pressed to find something more fitting. Mlinzi, is a very dedicated individual, and tends to be loyal to those that he has reason to. He would never do anything to betray them, and in fact would far rather not know others secrets, in order to better serve them as dedicated friends or companions. Mlinzi finds himself hard pressed to hold back important or even not so important details from his friends, the thought alone makes him feel ill. Though his inner most wish would be to tell them, if the secret were to something that could harm the individual he would most likely become lost in his own battle of wits. Trying to resolve what scenario would yield everyone a better result. Underneath Mlinzi's bright exterior rages a silet fear of the unknown in his future. Every day is a new challenge for him, and somedays he isn't sure if he can be up for the challenge. He hides his fear under his very real, but also somewhat unreal upbeat personality. Although he is successful in most cases at hiding his fears, they do rear their ugly heads on his bad days, when the tables turn and it is finally his turn to need a bit of cheering up. What has his life been like within the pride up until now?: Mlinzi's Mother survived the birth of her children, only to pass after exerting her last bit of life source whiel nursing her cubs. Soon after he passing, Mlinzi was placed into the care of another group of lions in the pride where he began to grow surrounded by lions who seemed to hold the same way of life as he did. They were called 'carriers' from what he understood, and all of them had been sick in early cubhood, but seemed to have beaten the worst the disease had to offer. It was in this group, that he first discovered his knack for cheering other ups. Was he born in to the pride or was he a foundling and adopted in? Born in What are some of his dreams and goals? His dream is to become a successful Apothecary, that will be able to help those most in need and protect them from the worst of the diseases. But he also dreams of one day visiting the head matron and having her find him a suitable match, hopefully someone that will love him for who he is, and help soothe his underlying fears. Immune Is the Daughter Immune, Carrier, or Diseased? Diseased Personality of the Father: Bava is a very open individual. He isn't very emotional, but does not judge according to emotional reactions. He has sympathy for the grieving and isn't afraid to show it, but endeavors to stay strong himself. His daughter is his first devotion, his duty to his pride is second, and all others come third. He loves to laugh, and sees nothing wrong with playing games and being silly with his daughter, though with adults he acts his age, properly mature and reliable. His one blind spot is familiars. He doesn't see the need or point to them. Either they are food, or they are contenders FOR the food. He doesn't hunt others' familiars, but will not take one himself, nor condone his daughter doing so. Should he find any prey animal without an 'owner', he will hunt it to eat, or will chase it away from any available food. Personality of the Daughter: Kichona is one of the few rare and unfortunate cubs that seemed to have been born suffering from the plague. Even on her first day she seemed very small and very sickly, and she never really made up for it as she grew. The fact that she made it past infancy is credited mostly to her father, who took care of her and doted on her without rest when it seemed like she might not make it. Now as an older cub, she recognizes how much she owes Dabava'mem, and no one could ever say she was ungrateful. She adores her dad above all others, and if she were strong enough would follow him everywhere. As it is, she is usually carried. She is a very soft-spoken, mild-mannered girl who tends to have a very optimistic outlook on life. Her father is to thank for this as well, since he does his best to play with her and laugh and joke often. As Kichona grows, however, she will start to become a little more possessive of her dad, especially if she senses that a romantic interest may enter his life. Kichona, who has been very used all her life to being her dad’s best girl, and honoring her mother’s memory, will not like the idea of sharing her father with anyone new. She had been too weak for her body to carry a full litter. Bava’s mate didn’t live but a few days after the birth, and it seemed for a while as though her daughter wouldn’t make it either. But thanks to Bava’s constant care and the assistance of the pride’s healers, Kichona did make it. What is the Father's history and life been like? Bava was born and raised in the pride, growing to realize he was one of the few lucky immune ones. He became a Guard when he became an adult, and has proudly served his pride in this position. He took a rogue as his mate, a female who joined the pride out of a soft heart. He found her tenderness endearing, but their time together was brief. Ever since, he has devoted himself to raising his daughter to be a happy and well-rounded lioness, to give honor to the mother she never knew. How does the Daughter view her life in a diseased pride? Kichona has grown up here, and she couldn’t think of living anywhere else. To her, the members are like her extended family. Kichona’s poor health for what has been her entire life makes roaming impossible, anyway. She tends to have an optimistic view about things, but takes it very hard when someone she knows dies, even f it wasn’t someone she knew well. To her, every loss for the pride is a tragedy, and if her father weren’t around she’d probably be highly depressed all the time. What is the relationship between Father & Daughter like? Bava is rarely without his daughter. She follows him everywhere (except of course when he’s on guard duty) and if she’s having a bad day, he often carries her around with him. Kichona has always been a grateful daughter, acknowledging everything he does for her and appreciating it. Bava cheers her up with jokes and games when she’s feeling down, and Kichona is good at keeping him company should he ever feel lonely. As the last blood relative he has left at the moment, she sees it as her duty. However, with that being said, she also can get a bit jealous if it seems like someone else is consistently getting his attention. She feels guilty when this happens, but she’s been used to being his sole focus for most of her life, and she feels easily threatened by others who take his time “away from her.” What rank will the father be? Personality: Diyar has always taken his job seriously, he knew he was in a way blessed to have the job given to him. He has found it difficult balancing his job with life being 'normal' but he has tried to be just part of the pride. He takes part being a scout and he will do all he can for the pride. He is very much part of the pride - partly to see what is going on and partly because he doesn't want to be seen as different. It generally means he is very social and quite likes to be part of anything he can be.
What has his life been like within the pride up until now?:
Diyar has tried to be a rock to those around him. Finding himself to be immune as his friends died wasn't something that he could easily adjust to. It took a while for him to realise that actually being immune was a blessing. He found that actually surviving when others didn't meant he could tell the youngsters stories of those before them and he could be there for those when their family members died. He has always enjoyed his life especially as a scout but that doesn't mean he couldn't be there for those who needed someone to help them come to terms with the disease or a death.
How does he feel about his dual life and secret rank of Spy?
He found it hard to begin with like anyone would. Of course he got use to it because he found that actually sure he was a spy and had to know things but the best way of doing that was to be part of what he was spying on. He got to enjoy the best part of life and help by collecting information when it was needed. This allowed him to be well him. He has been a spy for as long as he can remember now so he wouldn't want it any other way.

Why did you as a writer choose to apply for Mr. Sexy Spy? The option of playing an interesting character, one that has to have a normal life while not having a normal life. The tangle of his life interests me greatly smile
