Well, I have to give the edge to Kakashi. Gai is hilarious and everything, but if they were to actually fight, Kakashi would have the upper hand.

gai in the series is highly underestimated.note the fact that he stood toe to toe with Itachi without a single problem,and did so by only watching his feat.where as kakashi got seriously cought up by itachi and had to suffer 3 day of torture within the blink of an eye because of it.
gai might be socially as smart as a box of rocks but underestimate him in a fight and he will round house kick your head 2 weeks into the future 3nodding
