((His face isn't, it only looks so. Sometime his skin is pale you can see right trough, others it looks disgusting))

Rizack caught her obvious nervousness. "My smiling surprises you? It may not seem so but I reserve the right to have happiness in moderation. Life without some would be a sad existence." he said, tone not rude, or kind for that matter. Just as he was. More observant than anything. He stated what he was thinking, whether people liked it or not so he had no suspected response.

She could either take offense right away and try to slit his throat. But he assumed he would be able to evade it. Either that or she would shrug it off. She wasn't the emotional type, from what he deduced at least. Then again those mannerisms could be some kind of security blanket, despite not looking like she needed one. She had those knives which she played with when she was bored or nervous. When she asked for his name he said "Rizack Wilshire. Although you won't find it. May I ask of yours or it as hidden as your face?"

When she asked if he was a 'hero' he mentally scoffed at the notion. He'd had no reason to act heroic at any time. "If I'm a hero then drug dealers are doctors and prostitutes are ladies in waiting." he said, rather quickly. This wasn't implied as a joke entirely. Despite his cool demeanor, he could relax a little. From what he saw the woman had no idea for relaxation. His style was simple meditation.

Rin scratched her cheek and looked skeptically at Rizack. She was irritated that he discovered her nervousness, however brief it might have been. Ceasing the instinctive urge to whip out her blades and strike, she merely twitched her fingertips and scowled--processing his response to his smile. "In my opinion, I highly doubt a smile brings happiness. And I was only..." She groped briefly for the words, "...not expecting the action."

Rin tilted her chin up ever so slightly. She noticed that despite what was said, she wasn't really annoyed at his words. What truly aggravated her was his keen mind in observation. Usually, to those that respond cheekily back or in some way annoy me, I'd personally damn the man or woman myself. But he proves to be different; not at all too annoying nor too irritating. Rizack Wilshire... You prove to be an odd character in my books--especially in these times of war and what-not.

Rolling his name around her tongue, to get the feel of it for it was an odd name in her opinion, she imprinted his name in her mind; despite what he said about not finding it. At his own inquiring, she couldn't help but allow a vague sense of curiosity overtake her at his inclusion of her mask. Fingering the veil shrouding her lower face, she simply blinked in amusement. "My name is not hidden... There is no need for it unlike other..... Things. If you really are curious," she flicked her masked chin, "Then I must apologize in advance." Leaving an air of faint mystery, she added, "I am Rin Noto. Whether or not you'd find my name anywhere is unknown." She shrugged for emphasis on her statement.

Upon his quick answer to her 'hero' story, she allowed a quiet laugh to bubble from her lips. "I see. Forgive me if I have offended you, then. I did not realize the title of a hero was such a horrible fate." Scoffing mentally herself, she corrected, "Actually, ignore those empty words. I understand." Rin knew that she, herself, was far from being a hero. If she'd rank herself, she'd probably say... Neither an antagonist nor a protagonist. She was just.... Closing her eyes, she huffed. Enough of this nonsense. ...I am an assassin. I murder those that are appointed to me to be killed. That must make me a villain, of sorts. Mood souring slightly, she mulled over her thoughts while she awaited a response from Rizack.

((OOC: Ah, okay. The version I saw was the most recent that came out at 2004. I think his face was scarred, but not atrociously so... I'll search up some pictures and dawdle on his appearance.))

((My English teacher had us read an abridged version on a magazine so I saw a lot of different faces in the "Did you know?" section.))

When she said how happiness wasn't the only thing to bring about a smile he shrugged. "I meant the other way around. Unless there's a giddy person running around the land giggling at the nearest person whom has a smile. I believe not expecting something would be the definition of surprise." So far he figured either his speech needed practice or her understanding of sentences did. But either way that part of the conversation had finished.

Rizack took a moment to remember the name as she spoke it. Rin Noto. He would probably remember it by removing the space as he did with most other names, simply playing it off that he had spoken slightly faster. But the name was simple enough, so he might not. "Then I suppose between the two of us, we'd be invisible to the governments eye." he said, realizing he had quoted an old acquaintance. Not the exact words but the meaning was similar. They had told him Well if I'm nice enough to people I can get away with anything and as long as your cold enough to people you can say anything. So between the two of us we could do anything. We could rule the world.

"Being called a hero isn't as notched up as it used to be. A hero is one who strives to act perfect and stop the evil et cetra. And humans tend to be hypocrites. Think of a priest who would rape a child but still be considered holy. The towns guard who would sooner slash down a thief, stealing for their next meal than turning him in, but is considered a 'crime fighter'." Rizack said finally, striking some good points. If those were heroes he would sooner admit he was not one and be off. The title of one had been perverted in his eyes.

Rin's eyebrow twitched. She wanted to ball her fist and smack Rizack on the jaw. Instead, she settled for flicking his nose sharply with her index and thumb. She remembered the same action being inflicted on herself long ago, but shrugged the beginnings of any memory that threatened to resurface. Instead, she drew back her hand--the one that flicked Rizack-- and crossed her arms.

Not hiding her annoyance, she snapped, "Oh, whatever. There is a difference between being caught unawares and being surprised." In my book. She thought sulkily. Listening to his next comment, she couldn't help but roll her eyes in dry humor. "Ah, the government. It is such a blessing to be obscured from their sight." Rolling her shoulders, she grimaced as a few pops and cracks reverberated through the air. "Luckily for me, I sort of... Forcibly stay hidden." The benefits of having a corrupted government to an assassin like me. They act all cool and reliable to the public eye, but secretly scheme a cohorts death, steal rank/positions/wealth, or simply get a job done without any red tape. Huh. Funny.

While Rizack ranted about the hero subject, Rin attentively glanced the area around them, instinct forcing her to examine her surroundings before fully training herself onto the conversation at hand. When he finished, she simply replied, "Your reasoning is different to those I've heard. I suppose you're correct in highlighting these terms." Rolling her ankles to loosen the stiff muscles around her shins and feet, she said, "Pure is impure, impure is pure. Good is evil, evil is good. To die is to live, to live is to die."

Warily flickering her eyes at Rizack from the sky, she muttered, "It's supposed to be a simple song, though you'll never catch me even humming it. It sounded like it suited the matter at hand at the moment, so I felt the urge to share." Once again, she shrugged for emphasis.

((OOC: I searched that reference up now, and got a few faces to examine. All I can say is... Whoa. ))

Rizack shrugged "Most governments have a blind eye for sensitive matters or simply not caring. Until it affects them." He figured by how her weapons looked, her masked identity, and her complete demeanor she wasn't known as she handled the more... sensitive matters. Rizack was the other option. The government really didnt care.

Noticing he ranted on yet again he apologized "Excuse that I have a nasty habit of rambling as it seems." He was a but of a pessimist at heart but he kept it in check by ont accepting reason, not emotion as a primary source to judge what actions to take. But when he rambled it was sign that the idiocy of some people related to te topic annoyed him as the examples he used.

When she mentioned the song he imagined writing a note in his head "I'll take into account that you never hum in full seriousness." he said to Rin. Although you could tell there was some humor in his words.

Rin inclined her head in a sign of agreement to his words on the government, scoffing in distaste to show how she felt about them. They had practically forsaken her and what remnants of her family were left after the war. Not that she expected them to personally help, but sending a cart of food or water, some supplies to last her old village through the war-savaged year would have been appreciated. Especially after everything my parents sacrificed for them, the petty bastards.

At the mention of rambling, she responded by shaking her head. "Do not worry yourself over such a trifle. Rambling is as common as the planet holds oxygen. There is nothing wrong with opinionated thoughts arising to be spoken. Besides," She walked over to a wooden post nearby, leaned on it, and crossed her arms. "Rambling tends to show a person's personality. From what I hear, I'm learning a bit."

At his reply about the song, she couldn't help but cast her glance casually to the side, hair swishing slightly as she turned her attention to cracks on the dry floor. Hearing the humor in his words, she allowed a wolfish grin to mar her features as she said, "Hm. It is crucial information to have in mind."

{{The lot of you arrive at the gates of the city some time later. It's up to you to search the town for any leads on the new leader of the Assassin's Guild. Good luck!}}

"Then dare I ask what have you discovered about me?" asked Rizack. Remembering a mission he was assigned he realized he was searching for the leader of the Assassins Guild. How could he have forgotten? Nevermind, he'd find the leader after this intriguing conversation with the equally intriguing woman. Besides the leader mustve already be informed of the two of them being there already. Leading such a guild would require a great amount of spy's and information.

"You'll have to figure that out for yourself, Rizack. I do not give out most information freely, I am, after all, an assassin." Grinning to show both her delight and humor, she mentally sobered when she remembered her mission assigned to her a few hours ago. And to believe I was bored a moment there in time. How foolish of me! Tightening the straps of her gloves over her hands, Rin contemplated her means of gathering intel. Should I do it the old fashioned way? Or by another approach? The new leader has to be skilled and full of 'watchers'. I can't be to obvious, or I'll be easily expected and avoided. But they might think a few assassins to act boldly... Hmp. Looking at Rizack, she wondered, Did he get the same mission as well? It would be an awful shame to part so bluntly with a half-formed excuse. And I was actually enjoying a conversation after all these years... Plus, no one died yet. She chuckled bitterly at the thought.

"I suppose I will. Since your here as well I assume we're in the same mission. Shall we head out then?" Rizack asked as he went to go find the Assassin Guild Leader. The person would probably be tired of office work and be in general sight. Just for the excited risk that he/she would miss from the mission assignments and such. The leader was near the two, that much he could tell. But where?

Rin tilted her head to the side, wondering for a fleeting moment if he had read her thoughts. Shaking the feeling away, she dipped her head in acknowledgement to his words. "It's been a while since I worked with another, this should be interesting." Rin applied her attention at the matter at hand, rubbing the handles of her duel swords as she contemplated any ideas of the location of the new Assassin Guild Leader. She glowered, hoping it won't be neither a bumbling fool or an arrogant idiot. What the war needs is action--but also intellect and strategies. The Assassin Guild won't function properly if the new Leader is not prepared for his or her task.

Rizack stopped in his tracks. "There is an eighty percent chance he or she is already aware of us. In that case an associate should be following us. It'd be a useless idea to rummage through the city. If they towns guard, local town, and travelers can't find him or her we won't." he said, knowing searching would be a moot idea. He simply walked into a dark alley. If his theory was right, and mind you he's almost always right, the. A member should meet them soon enough. If the guild leader didn't want to be found they wouldn't find him. That was the kind of guy you would try tracing for years with no success.

The main road had several shady people on it, where Rizack and Rin were. The problem was figuring out which was was their shady person. "Besides if a person like that doesn't want to be found, we won't find them."

Alexia Silver
Two nights have passed and finally, Alexia and Akahanna had reached their destination. On their horses, they stood before the entrance of the city observing a crowd walking passed by several shop and minding their own business. Like any normal city, the place was filled with civilian, large number of shops selling variety of good ranged from foods to weapons, and some civilian houses. 'So far, this place seemed peaceful and harmless.' Alexia thought as she cautiously observed the place searching for anything suspicious or out of ordinary. "So..what do you think of this place?" While still facing the crowd, she asked Akahanna for her opinion assuming her to found something that she didn't see.

[[OOC: Sorry for the absent. I have a small complication that I has been facing and currently still working on it, but now I should able to online often but not too frequent. I saw the skip day post but not sure if I can actually wrote the scene above. I'm not sure how I will type this, so I'm sorry beforehand if there is a mistake. ^^"]]

Akahanna scanned her gaze over the commoners. Everything seemed... Ordinary. Calm. Normal. She didn't see any overlying fear or nervousness emitting from the people as they carried on with their daily chores. No signs of any recent battle or bloodshed.... Unless these people were excellent actors and actresses, the man they were looking for would be harder to find. Usually, if a man was strange or violent (or what have you) there would be rumours. And rumours would lead to worry or faint distress. And this, she hadn't found from the people. She frowned. "Ah, too normal and calm. I was hoping to have a group of men or women gossiping about a strange man... This would make our job easier when detecting him." Akahanna rubbed the mare's neck, sighing.

((Out of Cola: No problem, life's been busy for me too anyway. ^-^'' ...I don't know if the boss will mind, so I guess we could just keep on roleplaying this way...?))
