personality:
Eran is curious about anything and everything, and consequently he's always in the middle of things, whether he wants to be or not. Even so, he tries to stay relatively unnoticed, and he's perfectly happy with that fact. It's far easier to spy on people when you're unnoticed after all, and spy he does. He wants to know what's going on, who was involved, and how people reacted to it.

However, he can't stay unnoticed all of the time, and it's just as like for him to be caught or dragged into something as it is for him to remain on the outside. He doesn't really mind though, and will either grin sheepishly at being caught, or join in whatever is going on enthusiastically until he can continue on with his observing.

However, he isn't a gossip, and if he knows something, well, good luck getting it out of him. That's not to say that he won't share what he knows, just that he won't give the knowledge out for free. He is more than willing to accept a bribe, especially if someone is willing to trade information. Or give him some sort of shiny. Preferable the first.

personality: Yani is a special snowflake, the best looking, gosh-darned cub in the litter! Or, at least he thinks he is. Yani is an arrogant and boastful hotshot. A bit of a daredevil, Yani will do anything to impress the ladies…and anyone else who happens to be around at the time. He relishes being the only black cub, convinced that it makes him better than his siblings. Yani reminds them of this assumption on a daily basis. He is a bit of a bully and a tease, and likes to harass his sisters (with the help of the only other tolerable member of the family, his brother, of course).
He is selfish, rude, and never seems to shut up. He makes up stories about their father going on daring adventures and fighting evil monsters. Yani can’t wait to go on his name quest to meet him, because obviously his awesome-ness couldn’t have come from his mom and all these stupid girls he has to put up with every day. Ugh. Girl cooties.
Of course, once he finds out his father is a slave, Yani will be crushed. He will forget his name quest and wander aimlessly, completely destroyed that his visions of a great and powerful father were just that, simple visions. From there he will have some life-changing experiences, find his name, and return home very much changed from who he was as a cub.

anything else?: His name he finds on his quest will probably mean something like "he is modest" or "he was humbled."

personality: Dayo is a very happy, bouncy sort. He doesn't mind that he is surrounded by females, but he does find himself misplaced, being without a male to look up to. Dayo tries to be fierce and strong, attempting to show off his hunting or fighting "skills" every chance he gets. At all points in the day he is trying to prove himself as a "man," attempting to flirt with female cubs ("That's a really fluffy tail you've got there... ;D" - this actually happened once, I swear) and assert his authority (what little he thinks he has) to the males. He is awkward (as seen in his weird attempts at flirting - he knows he's a cub, but he's seen other lions do it!) and sort of gangly, and very unsure of himself. After he returns from his naming quest, Dayo will remain awkward and happy, and ever-grateful for having his mother by his side growing up. He always means well, and growing up he'll find his place within the pride.

anything else? More on his naming quest journey: Dayo will be vising the Mwezi'johari in order to find his father. Once he meets Mvushi, he will realize that he really wasn't missing out on anything (Dayo, being a happy-go-lucky sort, won't really like his father) and will hurry to rejoin his family in the Swamplands.

personality Sekava is a strange little girl... who actually prefers to be called a boy. She chooses to always hang around her brothers, as her sisters annoy her a lot. Sekava is very rough-and-tumble and play fights with the best of them. She values her family a lot, but does wish she had a father in the picture to even out the femininity of the family. Very feisty, Sekava isn't one to take much from anyone else. Although she respects authority, she won't take being bossed around by another of her age group very well until she reaches an older age. She isn't very sweet, and has a personality that could use some sanding down. She says what's on her mind and doesn't hold her tongue, which tends to get her into poor situations.

anything else? Sekava will intend to go meet her father, but before that will meet a rogue male or two who show her her value as a female. Her name after her naming quest will be Kaimana'rhona ('diamond in the rough') once she discovers how great it is to actually be a girl and how feminine she actually is in comparison to boys.
