[EVENT] Hide and seek - Open!

After searching the shadows for what seemed like forever, he realized he probably should have asked her what colors they were. After all, that could help right? His paws stepped on a stone, and he kicked it away from him, his eyes still looking around the surrounding area. He wasn't sure where else there was to really look, but damn these cubs were good at hiding!

The words actually DID help. "Even leaders...?" She let out a light huff, more to herself, then closed her eyes. She needed to calm down... Others were here, helping. Mostly birds, but others were helping. When she opened her eyes, she spied a blue leopardess, marked with clouds and stars. "Oh! Somebody else to help!" She couldn't help clapping her paws a bit. "Yay!" She felt like she had her head again, and began taking stock. And then her nerve started to go again. "Oooh, where could they be..." She went poking under rocks, almost swearing she heard them giggling. Now they were MOCKING them all!

The giggling tipped Caius off that they were indeed around. So it was just a game to them after all. Really, the leopard was relieved but at the same time a little annoyed. Still, it was the least he could do to stick around and continue to help.

More and more seemed to be showing up to help. It was a relief to have so many showing up to help look for these playful cubs.

"We'll find them," Caius assured .. mostly him self. They were mocking them... it was hard to search while being so judged. But Caius continued turning over stones and looking around brush. They had to be around after all.

Foiled, again! Her colorful feathers flared out as Mkichaa, once again, failed to locate any cub behind a few rocks. How irritating! "If you're around, you should just come out!" She chirped, as she flapped her way up onto one of those rocks. She couldn't get a good look from here, so the avian took up into the sky.

Still, she sadly didn't seem to spot anything interesting, that might be one of those kitty brats. Guuuhk. And now she was too invested to fly away!  

[Feral Mule]

Wait. She was going the wrong way. Her brows knitted as she suddenly skid to a stop. The voices were even further away now. Groaning in frustration, Maya even wondered why she was doing this. Looking around, she weighed her options. She could continue running and pass out tonight, for once, or... she could go to sleep now and wander around at night, getting better acquainted with the surroundings.

Just as she was about to go lay down in a shaded spot, she heard yet another cry. It sounded close.  

[Tanakako]

Slinking about he could neither smell nor hear any of the cubs. Deciding he had been closer where he had started, he turned and slunk back through the leaf litter, avoiding as many of the frantic adults as he could. He truly hoped they found the cubs quickly... or there would be nothing left of his beloved forest....

Sighing to himself he slipped between sun and shadow, slinking along silently. At least if the other adults couldn;t hear him, the cubs wouldn;t either and just may give themselves away...

He heard the question, and was relieved to use the voice to navigate himself back to the female. He had wandered off a little too far there for a moment, perhaps far enough to where the cubs wouldn't have gone.

"Yes, even leaders. After all, mistakes happen. What counts is rectifying those mistakes." He said, and though he was talking he was still lowering his nose to the earth, any sign would have been great.

Caius continued to nuzzle over rocks and look behind brush but this was starting to grate the leopards nerves. He felt so old for getting so frustrated. Maybe he was getting old. The leopard shook the thought from his head as he continued to search. No way he was getting old. He was still a healthy... not fun... No he was fun... He was totally fun.

"Are you kids out here?" He called once more a little nicer then before. He was trying to be nice but this was so frustrating. The leopard took a deep breath and reminded him self that these were only cubs. They were only cubs... and they were damn good hiders. Maybe they had the blessing of the gods or something on their side.

It seemed Maya's sense of direction was completely lost. Whining like a cub herself, she stomped at the grass and growled. Stupid voices! Maybe they were in her head. Maybe she was suffering from a heat stroke! That could be it. It was rather warm for spring. She just needed some water. That's all. She thought she passed one up not to long ago.

So, taking off on a walk, she changed directions again.  

[Syrius Lionwing]

The gold bird screeched swooping low over the adult leopards frantically searching around for the babies. Oh these creatures were really useless. Why didn't they have better eyes? More to the point, why couldn't they fly? She huffs tipping her wings slightly to turn herself in a wider arch looking carefully for smaller furry things.

Those stupid little kitties! Why didn't they listen to her? Mkichaa's advice was sound, they should just come out. Geez, this wasn't very nice. If she found one of the chicks, she might just peck it before turning it in. For being a brat. She flapped her wings at a pile of leaves, only to find nothing beneath them as they flew away.

He could hear giggling now and again, and that made him breathe a breath of relief. Okay, so at least they were..ya know.. not being eaten. That was a plus. He tried to listen for the source of the giggles, but the little voices almost bounced off the temples, and ran hiding into he shadows. He groaned.

"This is why no one should ever have cubs.." He said, though it was under his breath.  

[Tanakako]

He was just padding silently round a tree when a full grown adult barreled past him, nearly knocking him from his feet. Staring after Maya he flattened his ears even tighter to his skull and growled softly under his breath. It was getting downright dangerous out here! Maybe he would escape this madness and go off into the forest for a little while... there were more than enough paws looking for the hiding cubs now and their intermittent laughter was proof they weren't in real danger. Sighing he shook his head, disgruntled by the whole thing.

Finally, there was a small stream, up ahead! Smiling a little, the girl moved to drink deeply from it and groaned heavily. It felt so nice on her parched throat. Where was she, even? Looking around, Maya found she didn't know anything about where she was, other than it was haunted.

She laid down next to the stream, in the shade and started cooling off. Maya didn't realize she was starting to doze. That is, until she actually woke up. Blinking, her ears flicked at multiple cries for help and she got up yet again, sighing. "Off I go." But she wasn't running this time.

Ulsbolo turned back to where she had already started, forming a semi circle in the air tightening her search for a moment, after all, how far could little cubs go? They couldn't flu, they couldn't fight, she wondered if they would be small enough to eat before she cast this away, leopards probably didn't taste very good.

She sighs and clicks her beak, how had she gotten herself in to this?
