Jethro nodded. "Alright thank you." His pet lemur Seth had been sleeping inside his coat, and as he took off the coat to give himself more mobility, the lemur flew out and took advantage of his being awoke and started flying around to find a new place to sleep. Jethro threw the coat away from him on the ground took a light stance. "So where do we start?"

"Right here, the key to firebending traditionally for the first part is simple breathing and movement, firebending comes from the breath, like that of a dragon breathing fire," Jay inhaled deeply and then exhaled deeply as he would demonstrate how it was done for Jethro, first, he brought up small fire balls with shot out from his fists, becoming that of a small cloud of flame out in front of him. He then did that of a sweep kick and creates a long streamed cloud of flames, shooting the flame out from his foot. He then pulled back both hands and then sent them both forward, releasing a large wave of flames outward as he did so. Jay then exhaled a medium sized cloud of flames from his mouth and a medium sized cloud of smoke from his nose. "Now, its your turn...."

At stage 1, the bender’s movements are basic and heated. This style focuses more on the breathing and movement and is conditioned from a young age due to its complexity and time that it takes to master.

Fireball
The most basic of all fire bending attacks, the user throws a single punch and a baseball-sized ball of flame launches outward.

Ember
The bender breaths slowly out their mouth, exhaling a cloud of embers. While not usually doing direct damage, this can distract, ignite flammable materials, or keep one warm.

Boil
Exhaling a hot cloud of smoke through one’s nostrils, the Bender can breath this onto water to bring it to a boil, or onto other surfaces to heat it.

Weld
Using the tip of the middle and index finger, the bender heats the fingertips up to a red-hot glow. This can be pressed to a door to melt a lock, to metal to either slowly cut through or weld, or even to flesh for a sharp but intense burning. )

Fire is will.

Jethro Studied Jay as he exampled the teachings, showing him firstly the most important was breathing. He knew Jay was correct in his teaching, he'd known him as a young boy. But gthose memories were for another time.

Jethro calmed his body as he then begin training. He breathed in deeply and out deeply slowly to gain a feel for the exercise. He could feel the general heat in his breath confirming where fire was foremost from. [1/5]
As he began to understand and see somthing from the slow deep breathing, He sat down and breathed deeply and in and out a little slower. He would use this to calm himself and build stronger attacks. He could feel the heat intensifying.[2/5]
Jethro began breathing faster in and out quickly. He intended to use use speed for times of dire need in a pinch, As his breathing became eradic and short he could feel small burst of intense heat. such attacks would not be as affective but still usefull.[3/5]
Jethro stood up and got in a light stance now working on the opening of his lungs and extending his inhale and exhale. His breath becoming more heated as he could almost taste sparks of flame in his breath as he continued to breath in and out slowly again.[4/5]
Jet could feel the heat of the sun energizing him, reminding him the basis of fire is the and sun. He breathed out an intense breath not quite fire but not just hot air as he began to develop the fire breathing ability of the exercise. He felt a bit stronger as he was encouraged thru his ability to generate the heat. On the last few breaths he exhaled thru his nose and released a small sized cloud of smoke.[5/5]

Now that the hard part was to a close and he understood how to close, he got to the part he was natural at but was always afraid to do. He got in a light stance thrusted his right arm forward shoots a burst off flame not quite a ball like was intended. He then controlled his breathing and attempting againit was more like a ball. He was satisfied til later and moved on to the next skill. Jethro adjusted his breathing as he focused on a hazy structor which in a few moments worked up and became a cloud of emberrs. He rembered his father doing this often in his construction jobs. Jet then breathed out thru his nose and adjusted his breathing, then forming cloud of smoke. It became a little after a few moments of practicing the breathing thru his nostrils. Then finally he began focusing on his middle and index fingers, slowly finding he could heat up his fingers and give off a hot glow. He bent to the ground and pressed them to the ground leaving a mark and smoke coming from the small burn.

Jethro stood up and faced jay again. "Simple but affective. I can see even greater coming from these techniques." He said noting as it gave him a feeling of control he hadnt had before.

"Good, remember, breathing and movement is essential in firebending, along with keeping a firm stance and strong position, never falter with you movements and keep yourself ready for anything," he said with a nod, "now, would you like to take your firebending test?" he then looked to Ayane as well, "you as well young one?" He puts his hands behind his back, "both of you will be sent to a different place and have to complete a designated task, the trial will be difficult to an extent and certain parameters must be met with these tests, fail and the rank of Novice will not be yours, succeed and its as good as yours," he pulled out two maps, one that had a fire symbol on each, Jethro had the number four and Ayane would have the number five.

( Blazing Badlands[4] - You must walk throughout a land where dragons roam and challenge one to a duel of fire, the dragon you choose will surely be of Trainee-like strength but do not show a hint of weakness or else you will be slain easily. The key is to remain humble and respectful while also prove your worth within a calm and controlled environment.

Pyre Temple[5] - You must carry a baby dragon egg up and into the temple for the mother, the journey there is long and arduous. If the baby dragon hatches beforehand then it STILL must be taken for it will be too weak to fly or even fend for itself. The baby dragon egg is given to you upon exit to Caldera. The key is keep the egg safe and keep firebending under control for the safety of the egg as well.

Ayane snatched the map from his hand and then left the training grounds. -Exit-

Jethro smiled in a way that showed determination. He took the map and nodded. "I will not fail." He said before he took off.

As he arrived back to the training grounds, where he guessed the Fire Lord to be at, if not his throne, Kai noticed the other students weren't back yet. Well, didn't matter to him. "I didn't ask this before, but do I get paid for this? Fire Lord~" Kai asked as he approached, handing him the envelope that the warden had given him.

Ayane never reappeared back from her mission. What little was known was she completed her task successfully delivering the dragon egg to the temple. But it wasn't known where she went after that. One thing was certain was she was never going to be seen again.

"Ah, [I'm so happy I might break into tears. I've gained a promotion without raise! What a joyous day!]" Kai mused in feign delight, doing a swirl like a dance. "If you need any more odd jobs done, you can hire me next time, please?" He requested, seeing how he had done the job and hoped that might excuse him from the little mishap that happened when they first met. He still had a need of money, but it wasn't like he was obsessed with it like a common man. He wanted information too, which could be counted as another form of wealth. It wasn't as much greed as much as the desire to evolve from the crowd. A sort of ambition.

Seth woke up from his sleep in a tree and noticed Jethro was gone. He then flew down and found the coat that Jethro left, reaching in he found an apple from his small stash and started eating it, he would stay with the coat till Jethro returned , as he usually did when Jethro dissapeared. He watched accross the grounds studying the Fire Lord and Kai.

Sun walked to the training grounds and gave a slight salute to Jay. He was relatively unscathed. "Ran into a bit of resistance at the plains, but nothing I couldn't handle." He smiled sheepishly. "But, I borrowed a move used in pro-bending to do finish it. Sorry if that isn't 'traditional' enough for you." He never even caught his opponent's name.

Jay nodded to Sun, "welcome among the novices Sun, here," he then tossed him a scroll, it had the secrets of the Fire Boxing style within. "Sure Kai, suuuuure," he said with a lazy nod. "Now you both can teach yourselves, if you want." He then moved over to Seth, leaving the two to train on their own, and smiled as he knelt down and held out a hand, "hey there, little guy."
