"Well, I, um... Got lost." He laughed. Of course he did, this jungle was huge. There was no possible way for him to not get lost. "But, other than the being lost part I guess I'm travelling too." That was his plan after all. Once he finished his last adventure, Haki hadn't a clue what to do next. He had considered trying to find his old den, but the fact was that Haki didn't really want too. Or need too. So instead he followed someone he had trusted on the expedition back into the forest, only to fall for that someones trap of petty revenge. Well, now he was... Mostly safe. "I'm Haki by the way." He introduced himself.

"Lost? Oh, dear." she muttered. Now she wondered where his family even was, did he even know where they were? She smiled when he did mention travel though, it seemed like these two were sort of on the same journey too. So lost, but travelling. Just like her.
Her name? What was her name again? It was a while since she had been addressed a name rather than hyena after her banishment. Looking around, even though she knew that none of her old packmates were around, she was still cautious of spilling her name. "Its nice to meet you Haki, I'm umm.. Uchafu." She smirked. Now that she wasn't alone, she longed to see the lioness i a closer distance. "Want to try to get closer to them?" she prompted, but then thought about food and water. "Or go and search for something to fill up that belly or yours?"

Zalios wasn't as concerned about the snake as her pridemate, but maybe she should have been. Her young, naive mind had yet to grasp the concept of mortality, specifically her own. Eagerly, she turned back towards the only creature in the area she knew.
"Are you gonna help, too? Will you look with me?"

Haki's eyes lit up at the thought of a meal. His tail wagged. Clearly he was more interested in food than he was the company of more creatures. "Food first." He said so quick it sounded like one word. "Then we go near them." His words were broken up, some even missing, mostly all due to the fact that his throat was so dry it hurt to speak, which would overall explain his child-like grammer.

Batu huffed in annoyance. He could hear the light blue lioness was saying something, but he couldn't quite make out her words. Curious, the mandrill swung to a lower branch. As he listened he grew more concerned. Lions weren't his favourite species, but a snake bite was one of the most unpleasant ordeals one could go through. 'I really hate those nasty slithery buggers.'
He decided to help them with their search. He was in no hurry to go anywhere and he could end up helping to save a life. Besides, it was much easier for him to move through the dense jungle growth, than for the large land-bound cats.

A soft rustling noise preceded the appearance of a wide-eyed bush baby. She clung to the tree she had just pushed through, looking down at the gathered animals. She slowly slid down the tree, unsure if this was a good idea or not. She was among predators here, after all. Perhaps staying a few feet off the ground would be a good idea.
After finding some decent shelter, the bush baby, turned her gaze back to the few lions and various animals milling about in the jungle below her. She wasn't one to talk much, so just sitting and observing would be good enough for her. She was always fond of the lions pelts that lived in the area, so blue and detailed. Her own brownish fur helped her hide, though, and she was very thankful for it.

"Food it is." she chuckled, but then frowned at his voice. Why didn't she detect the dryness in it before? Without waiting for him to catch up to her, she went ahead a bit, sniffed the air for prey, but realized that most were well... gathered around those lions. She shook her head, flustered, and then headed off to another direction that was headed towards rocks. Maybe a creature or two would be caught there.

The bush baby tilted her head to the side just a bit, trying to pick up on some of the conversations. What was going on down there? There usually wasn't much hubbub in this area of the jungle. She liked to keep to the quieter areas for this very reason. Risking her being spotted, she slowly climbed down the tree she was clinging to just a bit further into a new batch of leaves.
Easing her way out onto a branch, she turned her ears towards the various sources of noise. A lost lion? Hm...she'd have to listen a bit more to pick up on what was going on.

"I'm gonna look really hard."
The youngster nodded her head in affirmation, her emerald eyes flitting over the scenery around them... A lot of weird animals were gathering, some of which she'd never seen before. She was still hell bent on looking for the strange, sick lion, but the bush-baby caught her curiosity and her rounded ears swiveled forward.
"Hey you! ... What are you?" The cub asked curiously as she stood on her back paws, her front ones pressed firmly against the tree's trunk. Maybe that little thing would like to help her search.

The bush baby was so intent on listening that she didn't notice the cub until her paws were on the tree right below her. Already large eyes widened as she stared down at the massive (to her) creature below her. Oh no! She'd been spotted!
Forgetting about listening, she shrunk back into the leaves, looking down at the cub with fearful eyes, her whole body quivering. It wasn't going to eat her, was it? "I-I'm a bush baby," she said weakly, her voice trembling with the rest of her. "Please don't eat me."

Kal shifted his paws uneasily, glancing around at every rustle and scrape. So far, plenty of other creatures were here, but not the poisoned lion nor the aforementioned snake. He frowned, then turned to the cub who was insisting on helping. He couldn't tell her not to, but he'd try to keep her as safe as he could. "Stay here, close to her so she's not alone," he invented, instructing Zalios firmly. "Talk to those here, and I'll go look for the lion and the snake." Hopefully she'd obey him, since he didn't want her blundering into either one. Not just the snake was dangerous, after all. Any creature, driven mad with pain, could do harm to one as small and innocent as the young one.

He was forever late to the party. Ganymede heard a bunch of voices about and decided it was time to go check out what was happening instead of waiting for his mate at the den. She was gone again; often disappearing for long periods of time. He headed down towards the voices and saw a bunch of lions looking like they were going to step on thorns, or avoiding them one of the two. Then heard something about looking for a lion and something about a snake? Was a lion hurt by a snake? "Did someone get bit?" he asked, a little worried, his voice low just in case the snake was around. Didn't want to startle anything, now did he?

Mtoto had little knowledge of what was going on around her, she was just enjoying a leisurely stroll through her garden. Though apparently the plants knew more than their fair share of gossip. She listened with earnest as the plants swished within the breeze, telling the tale of the bitten lion. With a gasp she backed away, her paws antsy to do something to help. But what could she do? OH! She could find him!
Nodding as if to agree with herself, Mtoto bent down to be level with her plants, whispering a small apology and thank you she gently plucked a few from their roots. With a slight bow, she then darted off to aid in the hunt.

"Okay, Kal!" Zalios called to the other lion over her shoulder, but whether or not what he said sank into her mind could easily be up for debate. So much was going on around her and she was swept up into what she thought would be the biggest adventure of her life, or at least that was what she thought. She was still young and inexperienced. This was a big deal to her.
"A bush-baby? Well, I don't wanna eat you." The bush-baby wasn't very large. She wasn't so sure she would be tasty, anyway.
"My name is Zalios'akys! I live here! That lioness said her friend is missing. Wanna help me find him?"
