Deathgod of Legend mattofmana1481 I haven't been feeling weel for a while, but I've had this random setting where its a slightly futuristic city. Where most buildings are made of glass and what not, but the weird thing is the Sun never sets. Continuously at the sunset time of day some people panic, while others continue with their daily activities. What no one knows, is something is holding the Earth at rest.... That's all I have at the moment, Maybe others can chip in or make suggestions? Thanks. Perpetual sunlight? That does sound like it would be highly stressing considering most people like to have a time to look forward to when they can "wind down" Buildings mostly made of glass... are you going for a problem involving heat? If so, the glass idea does sound good but if not then I'd suggest mirrors instead of glass. Mirror buildings would have been the idea of the future to battle against the never-ending sun, it makes sense when I think about it. Would you be adding an underground-dweller element as well? People who grew to hate the constant sun so they made their homes underground, only coming out on rare occasions if even at all. What exactly holds the world in place? Is it some giant unseen creature that holds the world from one side or could it be a state of frozen-time that affects all the world except for the city, maybe the sun itself is the cause and the mirror buildings within the city deflect the time-stopping effect? Perhaps the world's revolutions it made in the past were a type of clock and now that it's stopped, the world is coming to an end. What do you think of these ideas?
Funny, I just trashed a conceptual roleplay starter of mine that sounds a little like this one. It's basically a frozen crapsaccharine world caused by a nuclear winter. The two warring groups are the civilians that want to dig beneath the ice to find the answers to their past, and the group that wants to keep the earth frozen over and hide the past so as not to corrupt the perfect society above the ice. It starts on the day the first rays of sun pierce through the clouds of smoke and soot and begin to melt the ice.

Deathgod of Legend PoppiHollaPuddelz Club name? Theme? I've always hated naming things ;3 Ah... Dusk's Rise? Burning Dawn? Turning Eclipse? Theme... I'm no good with themes.
Duskrise it is C; Hm, for the theme - what about celestial bodies and sunrise/sunsets, moonrise/moonsets? Might be a little cliched but it does sorta fit the name.

Or, how about a dark light piercing a bright sky? Do you photoshop? >.> Invert a day sky. Seems cool.

Deathgod of Legend PoppiHollaPuddelz Deathgod of Legend Invert a day sky. Seems cool. Sadly, no. I go with the thrifty MS PPT method. It works, to some extent. You'd have to let me know how it works out if you can manage it. I'm toying around with a few things I have lying around, but it doesn't look that great. I'll link it in a bit.

Deathgod of Legend PoppiHollaPuddelz That's an outstandingly good question, to which I have no reply. Well, to answer it with logic. People fear the dark so we can consider it "bad" Noone fears the light, infact some people look for it to battle the dark. So I've gotta wonder, who starts the conflict first? The light? Or the dark?
But why fear the dark? It's soothing. Maybe it's just the fear of the unknown. The light, it's always the light. Who wishes for the dark during the day? And how many light a candle at night?
