Lily was about to argue when she had choked on her own words. Stunned, she stared at Zar in surprise. It took a while before she drew herself out of it with a hard gulp. "Sh... no. No. I do not cook food. Not now. Not ever."

"You won't win," Lily spat her words. She wanted to make him eat them, but seemed to fail miserably at every turn.

"You are absolutely insufferable," Lily scolded with the biggest frown she could muster. It wasn't real.

"I know I am. Isn't it wonderful?"He felt fantastic, he couldn't really deny that fact, and intended to ride it out as long as he possibly could.

Unfortunately for zar, insufferable meant that Lily was trying harder than she normally would have. She couldn't disappoint him. Could not prove him right. It was demeaning to her and all of her kind and he of all people would never allow her to live that down.

"I concede." he said with a toothy smile as he felt her attack connect most directly, breaking through his defences entirely.

"A most excellent fight. It would seem however, I now owe you a favour."

"If you are defeated then what are you smiling so smugly about?" Lily questioned as she ensured the distance closed.

Zar didn't drop the smile in question. "What? Can't a boil simply be content? If I won I earned victory, if I lost I earned a task. Both are entertaining, in their own way."

"Not when he's lost he can't," Lily raised an eyebrow.

"Well. I am. So what do you make of that?"

"I say you need to stop before I make you stop," Lily attempted to smooth out her rough edges and appear calm.

"What would you rather I was?" he asked he lazily, tail curling behind him. "Simpering? Defeated? Humble?"

Lily reached up and attempted to run her clawed fingertips along his scalp. "Yes. All of those." Lily smirked, "Or at least admitting you were wrong."
