"Even worse," Mr. Gauthier grumbled, "Vigilantes. Roba, I want them out, now." He grabbed his wife by the shoulders and pulled her back, away from Sub and Keiko, as though the two might have some infectious disease.

"Now, now, Daniel. Let's not be too hasty," Mr. Roba said, turning a large smile towards the two on the couch. Though, it looked to be more a showing of teeth than anything. "Perhaps it will be good for the girl to have her little friends here. After all, they may be able to help convince her."

"Convince me to do what?" Night asked, glaring at the two men. Whatever I was they were plotting, she was certain it couldn't be good.

Mr. Gauthier looked to Roba before turning back to Night with a sigh, "Very well. They may stay. Now to the reason for this meeting. Aleissa-"

"Night."

"Aleissa . After discovering your, ah, affliction, your mother and I began meeting with several different doctors. It took us quite a bit of time and money, but we finally found someone who thinks he can help. He's the top, and most sought after, plastic surgeon. If he can't do kt, no one can."

"Do what?" Night asked, somewhat skeptically as she, once again leaned slightly closer to Sub.

"Why fix you, of course. Dr. Dane is confident he can reverse whatever has been done to you to turn you into....this. You can look normal again."

"Oh, so this is what all this was about." Sub spoke up, having shut up and listened to Night's parents ramble on. "You want to fix Night. Clearly her doing things that go against your wishes mean she is broken. Hell, the fact that she looks different from you and me must mean that she is in dire need of help. How does the poor dear go on being so...different[/]." The man said sarcastically, followed by a scoff.

"And just for clarification there isn't a plastic surgeon in the world that can turn Night back into Aleissa. This-" The man said as he waved his hands in front of Ngiht. "-isn't just looks. I would ask Night to give you two an example of what her appearance means but then we would have half the city's emergency personnel over here and I don't feel like having to get into a fight today." He said, folding his arms.

Keiko breathed a sigh of relief, though she made sure to suppress it so nobody heard. At least this doctor wasn't trying to remove her Pokemon DNA. Still, how shallow were these people? Was appearances all they cared about? Keiko didn't voice these questions, of course. Still trying to seem harmless and unthreatening, though Sub was making sure that it was mostly impossible. Though, she didn't blame him for saying what he'd been saying. She'd be saying it right beside him if she wasn't so intimidated. Regardless, if Night looked to her for answers on whether she should do what her parents were asking, she WOULD speak up. And Mr. Gauthier would very likely not approve of what she had to say.

Poker had never really been Night's game. It wasn't that she had a problem with lying, she'd lie to your face just for the fun of it. No, her biggest problem was her tells. If one knew her well enough, they'd easily be able to pick up on the signs that'd feel them her mood.

It could have been the way her eyes began taking on a slight pink hue, or her tails twitching occasionally, either way Sub, and probably even Keiko, would easily be able to tell just how pissed she was in that moment. So, it should have been no surprise to either of them when her fist slammed into the side of her father's face, "If you honestly thought I'd accept that offer, V, I'll give you the same."

As her father began sitting up, Night crouched down in front of him, "What in the seven hells made you think bribing me into a surgery such as this was a good idea? I like the body I have now and couldn't give two shits what you think about it. Even if that crackpot could turn me back, he'd never be able to give me Aetna back. So, no. I won't be having that surgery, and you can take my money and shove it up your a** for all I care. I'm done with you people."

She stood and turned towards the door, fully intending on leaving. That is, until her mother found her courage; or decided the concerned mother act wasn't working, "Just a minute, young lady. I know I raised you better than this."

"You didn't raise me at all," Night said, keeping her back to her mother, "I practically raised myself."

"Yes, and look how you turned out. An unnatural freak. Now, I am still your mother and I am telling you, you will have this surgery. I brought you into this world-"

"And I will take you out of it if you keep pushing me," Night growled, turning around to face her mother.

Sub chose to just stand there for a bit in silence as he took in the scene that had just been played out before him. After several minutes of silent observation and upon realizing that this was going to escalate further if not stopped the Snagem leader would reach out to Night and grab her hand, giving her a brief look and a faint smile before pulling her towards the door. While he said nothing Night probably understand a lot in the face he made and hopefully would come along.

Keiko would be leading Night out just as much as Sub, completely ignoring Mrs. Gauthier's rant as she truly saw the woman and her husband as beneath her right now.

Once outside, Keiko would let Natalia out of her ball to see if the Xatu could teleport them to HQ without GRAY slowing them down. But before she could actually speak the command, she was a bit surprised at the sudden appearance of a familiar face.

"Been awhile since I've seen either of you," Chaos would say mostly to Sub, but he talking to both Sub and Night. Only upon saying this would he notice Keiko, though. "Oh, hey. Sup, Kei."

Keiko, unfortunately, was a bit too surprised to say anything.

"Not really," Night said in response to Sub's question, choosing to ignore Chaos for the moment. That was one aggravation she really didn't need right now, "Don't know why I expected any better from them."

Sub wanted to respond to Night, to continue to console her but Chaos spoke up before he did and seemed keen to open up a new can of worms despite the current one still being full. If he knew Night then he was certain that this was just the spark needed to make her explode. "Hey hey! Who wants to talk about the past? I mean, it's in the past! The very definition of the word means gone, no longer existing, behind you. Why don't we all go get a nice ice cream cone. I know a great place not far from here!" Sub said, doing his best to try and prevent Night from having an episode but deep down he knew that at this point the chances were slim he would succeed.
