SubonicXP Darts and Tristan would pass through the giant ring and through the portal it contained. There would be no fanfare involving the sudden travel through space and time, instead one minute they were standing in a haunted forest and the next they found themselves standing in the middle of a suburban street, the entire process felt as simple as walking through a door only this door was nowhere to be seen should they look back. The only truly bizarre thing they might notice is that they were wearing that seemed to be costumes, Halloween costumes (y'all decide). Where they came from and who designed costumes to fight hybrids such as themselves, especially one with a body shape like Darts, was a mystery but not one that needed answering at the moment. Before them the road stretched onward and the streets were swarming with children, parents, and mischievous children enjoying Halloween night. Where they were in the world was anyone's guess but if they had to wage a guess based off the tightly packed suburbia and cook cutter houses it was probably somewhere in Unova. Regardless they were here to find some sort of treasure that belonged to Hoopa, where it could be in such a place was even more puzzling however it was probably a safe bet that finding it involved good ole 'trick-or-treating' what with the jack-o-lantern buckets clutched in their hands. What where did those come from? Tristen helped Darts along through the portal to make sure he wasn't tripping on the ring on the way through and as soon as they got through to the other side of it, Tristen stared in confusion for a bit, looking around. Were they back in the town? Wait, no. Lack of snow. Probably just as well because of everyone in...costumes. Parents and children were all dressed up and going door to door. It was a festive night...but...to Tristen this was...weird. "Darts, what is everyone doing?" Someone apparently missed out on this activity.

Leslie would begin to examine her new surroundings, including her new....ally? Friend? Weirdo who decided to join out of his own free will and whatever the hell else he used to reach this conclusion? Oh well, at least he seemed competent enough to not die because he tripped over his own feet. "Alright, ugly. Looks like its you, me..." As she spoke, the singsong voice would begin to echo through the trees, interrupting her speech as she began to look around for this new source of noise in the creepy, creepy forest that she was now beginning to realize surrounded them. "And whoever the hell that freak is. And the owner of those creepy red eyes over there." Leslie added, pointing towards the two glowing red eyes that just sat in the forest. Staring back at the eyes, Leslie was tempted to say something in response to the eerie staring that she was receiving. Thankfully, she was cut off from that approach by the sight of two blade-finger hands that seemed damn near twice her size scuttling from where the eyes were, intent to harm written in their movements.
Yeah.....as confident as she was in her metal skin, that seemed a little too big to be tempting fate on. Grabbing Aden's hand instinctively, Leslie shouted, "C'mon, ugly! I ain't dying to a giant hand and I sure as hell am not letting you be the brave one in this scenario! Lets go!" And with that, the two ton teenager would begin sprinting away from the two hell-things that were apparently hands, most likely towing Aden along against his will unless he decided to agree on her plan or slip her grip. Either way, she was not going to test those finger blades till she saw what damage they would do to the trees she was putting between her and them.

SubonicXP Once the Snagems made it to the forest clearing they would find Sub already there, among four unconscious persons sprawled out on the ground, their white robes heavily soiled, signs of an intense struggle had taken place here and clearly they lost. "It wasn't me! I swear!" Sub insisted as the Snagems arrived just in time to see him poking one, with an actual stick. There was a joke to be made here. "Any who." He said, tossing the stick over his shoulder as he approached the group. "I found Odd's SNAG, it was over there by the weird trees." He then gestured towards a twisted circular mass of what looked like deceased Trevenant. Creepy. "Clearly he isn't here. Wherever he is we can't trace him without his SNAG. So, I figured we could-" The man started, his plan to find Odd cut off before it even began by a child-like giggle. "Uh...that's not something you want to hear in a creepy forest..." He said, looking around to see where the sound came from. "Hi!" A tiny purple faced creature greeted Sub as it appeared in front of his face causing the 'Dark One' to shout out in surprise, stumbling backwards away from the floating green eyed creature. "You friends of theirs or that other guy?" The strange monster asked, pointing a golden ring at the unconscious persons on the ground, the 'other guy' clearly meaning Odd. "Uh...the other guy?" Sub answered, afraid to see what would happen if they were friends of the unfortunate white-robed individuals. "His name is Odd, have you see him?" He asked the creature. "Oh and...you are...?" "Hoopa! That's what the humans call me! Or do they still call me that? I'm not sure. I had a nice long nap this time! You guys dress funnier than I remembered, and I see you're not wearing wigs anymore too! Nice to see you all with your heads on this time!" The creature called Hoopa said with a laugh. "As for the guy, Odd, which is a dumb name by the way, I've seen him. He was here, he gave these guys a sound thrashing! Did my work for me!" Hoopa giggled. "Oh, well that's good to know. Can you take us to him? He's our friend." Sub asked of Hoopa. "Nope!" Hoopa responded with a shout and a giggle, looking over at Darts and giving him a wave. "I didn't know the big silver worm had a baby! Tell your daddy I said hey!" The strange Pokemon shouted at Darts, evidently assuming Darts was perhaps the child of Giratina. "But no, I can't, or rather I won't take you to your friend, not yet! See, these guys, the guys that your friend with the weird name fought, tried to steal some of my treasure. Long story short I went to send them to the bottom of the ocean, something went wrong, a bunch of my treasure instead got sent off through my other ring before it too was ringed off somewhere else. I chased the weirdos in white here and watched mister weird name fight them. After he took them out I heard him talk about calling for help, you guys I assume. After he messed around with his weird box I got the idea to hold onto mister weird name myself and wait for his friends to show up and help me get my treasure and ring back." Hoopa said with a mischievous grin. "...let me see if I got this right. You are holding Odd hostage now and before you let him go we have to find your treasure and the ring that matches that want you're holding. Did I piece that together right?" He asked Hoopa. "Yep! You catch on quick!" Hoopa giggled before flipping its ring over and down its body, disappearing into it. "Man, you all look really weird." Hoopa said as it now appeared next to Aden, poking him in the side with its ring. "I've seen some ugly Pokemon and humans in my day before but come on..." With that he disappeared into his ring again, only to appear again shortly after next to Abby. "This one isn't so bad. Smells funny though, like daddy issues." It giggled before once before disappearing and reappearing. "Heeey! You're pretty! Why are you hanging out with a bunch of uglies like these?" It asked Veronica is now floated in front of her for awhile before moving onto Leslie. "Freaky mouth. Lot of hybrids around here. I thought that old king got rid of them all." It giggled, finding amusement in mocking them. "So, what do you say? Find my stuff for me?" "I guess so. I have a feeling this isn't an offer we can refuse without repercussions." Sub responded, to which Hoopa laughed and gave a little nod. "He does catch on quick! Any who. I only got one ring so my warping powers aren't as great as they are with both, because of that I can't send you directly to my other ring. But! I can send you after my scattered treasure and maybe along the way you'll find a clue as to where my ring is! There are five pieces of my treasure scattered around the world, so why don't you uglies pair up and I'll send ya as close to their location as possible! I'll give one of you in a pair one of my small rings, for fingers, basically a small fraction of my power. With that you can warp right back to me, but only to me, works only one way once. Only got five of those so the numbers work out great! Find my treasure, look for nearby clues to my ring, then use the rings I give you to pop over back here! Got it? Good! Now pair up and take one!" Hoopa said with a laugh. With a florish of its large hula hop like ring it conjured up five small rings to be worn on your fingers, the five rings floating in the air in a straight line in front of it. Hoopa waited for the Snagems to pair up and one of the pair to take and put on a ring. The moment they did it would hold out its large ring which seemed to grow in size as needed and opened up a portal for them to step through and send them somewhere else in the world. Sub did little more than stand back and watch how this would go down. Arkelos gave a condescending looking at Hoopa, Jezebel giggled at it's silliness. "Welp, let's get this party started. Alright, Jezebel let's get this over with." Arkelos said with his arms crossed. Jezebel smiled, "I've never seen a pokemon like Hoopa before." She said staring at Hoopa.

He mutters under his breath before lining his crutches under his armpits and beginning to move toward the nearest house. "C'mon Tristen, it's just like I said earlier if we're not quick about things all the full-sized candy will be gone. Usually you need a costume but... " The looming gold and black specter of a Giratina hybrid paused, his living jacket fluttering despite the lack of wind to turn his ruby-red eyes on his living dynamo mixed with a neon blue and yellow wolf child hybrid companion. "I think we're okay." As they made their way up the walkway, Darts' crutches clinking with every other step, he explains the nature of the game to his young confidant. "We knock, they open the door and say 'trick or treat'. They give us candy. They put the candy in the bucket." He gestures to the festive orange baskets dangling from their arms somehow. His red eyes narrow menacingly. "Or else.... the trick." Leaving a lot of things to the young Snagem's imagination, Darts rolls up one of his sleeves showing a little of his silver wrist below his gold-encased hand. He knocks, the metal of his hand making a solid 'rap' as he does so.

He knocks, the metal of his hand making a solid 'rap' as he does so. The Manetric hybrid would listen intently, trying to get some idea as to what was going on. Though, there were rules? Costumes? There were a whole of questions going through the hybrid's mind like why does everyone dress up, the meaning to all of this, what did he miss out on in his life while having to more or less help play superhero? But all of those questions paled to the one that sprung up when Darts's voice and demeanor grew ominous for that one brief second "...what trick?" The boy would be dragged to the first door of Darts's choosing, looking around, highly nervous as to what was about to transpire within the next thirty or so seconds.

Several seconds would pass before the door finally opened, a young woman standing on the other side dressed as a witch with a Mismagius theme to her outfit, a Herdier at her side waging its tail happily at the strangers, it sporting a pair of bat wings and a heart-shaped fake nose for its Woobat costume. "Oh wow! Amazing costumes! Both of you!" The woman cooed as she held out a bowl filled with assorted fun sized candy bars. "Careful out there, boys. A bunch of teens are going around knocking mail boxes and stealing candy. Stay safe and Happy Halloween!" With a smile she would close her door. Somewhere in the distance a group of rebellious teens were doing just as the woman said; driving down the street the Snagems found themselves on, smacking mailboxes with a bat as they went by and chasing down the occasional lone trick or treater to steal their loot. It was only a matter of time before the teens and Snagem pair crossed paths as both were headed towards one another.

Tristen could only assume they were late...they weren't the king sized like Darts said. Worse still..."Chocolate. I'm not really supposed to eat these...I'd get drunk. If not sick. Or worse if I have too much." Tristen said to Darts. Being a canine-based hybrid did not do him any favors, Tristen lamented. Tristen perked up, staring in confusion, as he started to hear hoodlums making a scene down the street and were quick on their way to them. "I'm guessing that's not part of the rules?" Tristen would then ask Darts. This didn't look right.

"...uh..." Aden would be a bit confused at this revelation, looking around as he got to his feet. Not even Umbreon was around; must've missed the portal or something. "Okay, gonna be honest, my expertise is not in parallel universes or trying to mind random rocks rolling about." Wherever he and Leslie were, it was clear he had no idea what Hoopa was fully capable of... and then he heard Leslie. "You know, I have a... name..." He'd trail off when he finally picked up on the weird, childish voice, only to adopt a deadpan look on his face despite the cold breeze and having a good idea that whatever was around was going to be a lot worse than a Zoroark and a few Trevenant. "Coming for us? And what would that be, exactly?" An answer would come fairly quickly when the eyes looked upon the two and its menacing, soul-piercing gaze looked like it'd go ahead and rip those souls right out of them with looks alone. With the hands that scuttled into view all too soon, it also looked like it'd be doing just that if given the chance. It was a surprisingly safe assumption that he'd be taking Leslie's advice, trying to form some kind of plan. "Please tell me whatever Hoopa's looking for doesn't have that guarding it! Or that you've got some ideas apart from running... I really should've caught that Zoroark back there."

Abby noticed that everyone had entered a portal instead of her and Sub, who was going to stay behind and maybe watch Hoopla or something. Feeling all too done with this entire fiasco, Abby grumpily followed after Veronica, not caring whether Sub had something to say about her joining another formed pair. He could deal with it as far as she cared.
The second she passed to the other side, where Veronica was, she felt something grab her ankles. Already in a foul mood, she knelt down and punched the bony hands until they let her go, then proceeded to do so to the next pair that tested their luck. She didn't care what they wanted her to do or what they were designed for, she wasn't having it. She'd stand or go wherever she pleased and wasn't about to do anything because she was 'told'.
Yeah, she was in one of THOSE moods.

Wren awakened in Laurel's arms just as the arachnid-like tree carried him into the clearing where the other Snagems were gathered now, or still gathering. He wasn't sure with his mind still fogged by sleep. Laurel set him on the ground as the strange little Pokemon called Hoopa spoke to Sub and explained, somewhat, what was going on. "If I heard all that right, this 'Hoopa' character has abducted Odd and won't give him back unless we find it's missing 'treasures'. Did I get all that right?" Getting the confirmation he needed from the others, he approached Jezebel and, by extension, Arkelos. "Looks like everyone else is grouping up... You two mind if I come along with you?" He asked with a yawn, recalling Laurel as he did. Whether they agreed with him, he would approach the floating rings Hoopa held aloft for them and slipped his finger into one of them before moving through the larger ring containing the portal. Nothing special seemed to happen to him upon moving from Point A to Point B but there was a definite change. To those in the know, they would appear to be near the Lake of Rage in Johto, but upon spotting the nearby "guard house", it would be seen to be a large campsite management cabin with a large filigreed sign reading "Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake" above the front entrance. Some distance away, a similar sign could be seen, though it would only be visible from behind, so the state of it wasn't as clear as the office building. A feeling of dread crept into him as a strange sound, not unlike some cheesy 80's slasher film sound effect began to echo through the forest. Ch ch ch, ah ah ah

The Snagems fled the disembodied hands and the murderous appendages pursued them throughout the forest. Curiously the hands did not try and go through the trees, despite their clearly capable knife-like fingers the size of a grown man's arm. The hands would zigzag around the trees, hot on their tails. At some point of the pair might note that despite using the tips of their razor sharp fingers to run on no gouge or mark was made in the ground in their wake. Why not was probably a clue as to the nature of what was going on. In the midst of their flight the child-like voice would call out again. "Three, four, better lock your door..." It echoed throughout the forest. At some point after this singsong exclamation, while the pair were briefly looking back at their pursuers, an actual door appeared in front of the pair. The door, standing freely in the forest, wide open and attached to nothing, would accept the Snagems as they ran right in before noticing it was even there. The hands were still in hot pursuit and the door swung gently between the two sides as the Snagems now found themselves standing in what looked like in a living room on the other side. The hands would not stop.

Darts says, through a mouthful of chocolate bar, wiping the remains of his fun-sized treat on the sleeve of his jacket before he squares his shoulders with the prepubescent gang of crooks. "This looks like a job for Snagem. Oi!" He shouts at the gang of delinquents, cupping his hands around the opening in his crest to shout. "Put down the mailboxes and your candy and put your hands up!" While yelling, he begins approaching them at a fairly casual pace, discarding his wrapper into his pumpkin basket.

Somehow, Tristen doubted it. Wrecking mailboxes just for bite-sized (perhaps 2 bites at best) candies? "I'm starting to think I know why Blizz never told me about this." Tristen mused. He then jumped when Darts started yelling at the teenagers, then looked back at them. Was Darts honestly about to pick a fight? Right here? Wherever here is? Wait a second... "Darts, we're supposed to find the ring for Hoopa, not fight teenagers for candy." The boy said, concerned.

The teenagers perked up as the Giratina hybrid called out to them, the group of teens flying up on the Snagems, all but one of them hanging out in the back of a pickup truck, the driver looking barely legal to operate such a vehicle. "You say something?" One of the teenage punks asked Darts as he jumped out of the bed of the truck, pulling up the collar of his jacket with the image of a Chandelure on the back. "I think he wants use to give him something." Another answered as he too jumped out of the vehicle, wearing a similar jacket. Apparently they were all apart of some hoodlum gang. "Is that so?" The apparent leader asked, the rest of his 'crew' now out of the truck and standing behind him, all together there were six wannabe young gang bangers popping their chests out at Darts and Tristen. "How about this, we keep the candy, take yours as well, and give a parting gift; a shiny new black eye. Whatcha say?" The leader said with a cocky grin. "Check this one out, must be some kind of furry freak!" One of the boys said as he walked over to Tristen and proceeded to poke at him and then pull on his fur, expecting it to be some kind of suit. "Man, must be a rich freak or a crazy one. Such a freak outfit must cost a fortune."

He quickly snatched at the wanna-be thug's hand tight and before he would snatch away, Tristen unleashed a charge of electricity, low voltage in the form of Thunder Wave. As the electricity (and subsequently the inevitable paralysis) takes its course, he glared at him. "This 'freak' is capable of applying the right amount of electricity to make a whole bunch of you a vegetable for the rest of your life if he wanted to. Fortunately for you, I'm not that kind of person." He said, shoving the hoodlum off of him now, looking at the rest of the ill-disciplined lot. "I can't speak for him, though." he said, pointing towards Darts.
