He was glad that she seemed keen on the idea. They’d go out, do some clubbing and see where the night took them. Perhaps a bit more fast paced than their might now but he knew she’d enjoy herself. Being able to just cut loose and vibe was a special thing. To loose yourself in the music and let it March through your veins. That was a life worth living. Or we’ll, an unlife worth living. “One Angelo Azzuro coming up.” Regulus made his way to the bar to order their drinks. Thankfully the bartender wasn’t super busy so he easily whipped up their drinks. Once he had them Regulus returned to the table, placing her drink down in front of her before moving to the other chair and taking a seat settling his own drink, which was a vodka dry, on the table in front of him after taking a drink. Nothing complicated to be sure.

Vespara crossed her legs while she waited for Regulus to return, listening to the music. Her eyes drifted over the various groups of vampires, knowing it was always best to be aware of one's company. She saw a mix of what appeared to be couples and groups gathered at various tables; some were drinking, some were chatting, and others appeared to be simply watching and observing. Unlike the club scene, here there were vampires in all sorts of attire; some were dressed a bit fancier, or more conservatively, while others looked like they walked out of the poster of Cold Subject, or were were sporting more ripped and tattered attire. There was a whole spectrum of individuals ... but it also meant there were a whole host of personalities among them.
Not wanting to catch anyone's eye, Vespara looked back at Regulus, watching him with curious interest as he ordered their drinks. He certainly seemed to not mind obliging her, and while this scene wasn't the club, it would allow them space to talk, drink, and hopefully, dance.
"Grazie, Regulus," she tested his name on her lips, and found it pleasing. Taking the bright blue drink happily within her ebony claws, she lifted the glass and gave a little toast. "Salute!" before taking an indulgent sip of the cocktail. Satisfied with the concoction, she sat back, and better turned her eyes on Regulus. Now that they weren't in the middle of a store with customers pushing them through, no were the hunting or walking side-by-side, she could better appreciate him. He certainly cut a striking figure, and not just because he was tall, dark, and handsome. She certainly was no fledgling, and she'd witnessed cute boys aplenty, but this was the first time she'd one on a....
well, she supposed it wasn't actually a date, but an outing. Now that it was just the two of them, she wondered at his offer to take her out to the club. Did he mean it, or was it just pleasantries with little intention to follow-through? Well, que sera, sera... Whatever would be, would be. She at least had him in her claws for now.
"I appreciate you being flexible in your plans tonight. I didn't interrupt your evening too much, I hope." Who knew what he had intended to do with his night after Cold Subject? Her own hadn't been particularly exciting -- a bookshop to look for ancient scrolls, and possibly a solo-hunt. This was much more pleasant and would hopefully remain so.

His gaze swept around the roof top, taking in all the different groups of vampires that were hanging about. Surely some of them were Clanned and Clanless. You could almost tell by how they segregated themselves. The music was most certainly different than what he was use to. But at least it had a nice tune, the beat seemed rather subdued at the moment. This wasn’t a club he had to remember. Well….not in the sense he was used to. The sound of her speaking his name had sent a thrill through him. She almost made it sound exotic. Shaking his head he flashed her a charming smile, his claws clinking against his cup as he tapped each finger individually from pinky to pointer. “It’s no big deal. I didn’t have much planned for tonight anyways. And this is much better.” Regulus took another sip of his drink, watching her over the rim of his glass. It was true. He had planned to pretty much just go home after he was done at Cold Subject. Maybe try on the clothes he bough and trying to match things for outfits. A very uneventful evening. So he was more than happy to accompany Vespara for a while tonight. It would keep him out of the house. “Hopefull I haven’t disrupted any plans that you had either.”

Vespara offered him a smile over the rim of her own glass, taking another drink of the blue liquid. "The night has been far more agreeable with you in it, than it would have been had I been alone," she concurred. "I might have checked out the local night cafe, or stopped to do a little ancient tome and scroll searching... but more than likely would have returned home early."
It wasn't that Vespara wasn't sociable, it was just that very few piqued her interest. The fact she'd seemingly hit it off with Regulus surprised her--but also made her wonder if it was simply all in her head. Perhaps she was reading too much into it. Though he'd invited her to go elsewhere, to scare up a bite, she had been the one to loop arms with him; she'd been the one to let her tail brush against his; she'd been the one to drag him off dancing.
Well.
It was just a night, just a little fun. She wouldn't keep him too long if he had other places to be, and she did have to be back to the mansion well before dawn. "I do appreciate the reprieve from my usual routine, carino," she spoke, rolling the word off his tongue with a purr.
Yayoi Do you want to let them get a little dancing in before we bring in the trouble... or should we spoil their plans?

“I agree. It has definitely been an improvement with you here, Vespara.” He named rolled off his tongue with a deep purr, silky and smooth as he took another drink. About half way finished with his drink already. Of course, one wasn’t enough to get him buzzed but he’s limit himself for now. If they were at a club he would probably be drinking all night but this was a different place and a different kind of person he was with. “Home early? When there is so much you can do? Well then I guess we’ll just have to change that a little bit.” Regulus, of course, could get her home by her curfew but going home early just didn’t seem fun at all. Regulus was enjoying the fact that they had hit it off so well. And if they continued to see each other they would continue to hit it off even more. The male vampire had to admit that Vespara had a certain charm to her that drew him in. He reached over and brushed the back of her hand with his fingers, smiling before he pulled it away. A bold move to be sure as they had only just met but he didn’t want her to feel like he was just going on with things. That he really was, truly, enjoying himself. “Of course, maybe we can disrupt it again another night, soon?” Regulus didn’t know how soon, soon would be but he was hopeful to see her again. Uta we can do a lil dancing first XD

Vespara had enjoyed the way he spoke her name, and the velvet purr that rolled off his tongue, but the feel of his touch on the top of her hand felt electric. The fur on the back of her neck stood on end, and the flush of heat built up from her belly that had nothing to do with the alcohol in her drink.
Well, that was a good sign...
Though she felt a sense of disappointment when he pulled it away, she knew not to be hasty. She was a Giovanni after all-- and this little dance, this little budding...whatever it was.. was a waltz, and not some frenzied remix, regardless of her feelings on the matter. Her fathers hadn't raised a fool, after all. But oh, she did wonder how she'd lucked out on this chance meeting. Even if they never saw one another again after this night, he'd certainly be one to remember.
So it was, she smiled again at him but there was a warmer note in its expression. Something a bit coy, perhaps, like she knew a secret and had no intention of sharing. "Thank goodness you were hatched tall," she teased, though her pleasure was sincere. If he'd been any shorter she wouldn't have asked for his aid, and then where would she be? Back home at the mansion? Perhaps, perhaps. "Besides clubbing, or shopping, or hunting, or boozing, what else is there to do, hmmm, carino?" She asked, finding she liked the little nickname. It suited him. "Up until tonight, unlife's been a bit noiosa," she confessed, giving a little click of her tongue, and the slightest wrinkle of her nose. It wasn't easy in her family -- she was young, with few responsibilities. She wanted to claw her way up to the top, to a position of real power and change, but ... all of that would take time, and patience, and knowing when to follow the house rules, and when to break them. As a vampire, their life was nothing but time... and Vespara was still learning how to fill it.
"Si! I would like that, very much," she concurred. "You've proven to be good company--and next time, I'll come better prepared for a night out." No packages to lug around, at least. "Besides, I'd like to see you in those strappy pants, after all," she gave him a playful grin, biting her lower lip for a moment at the thought, before taking another long sip of her drink.
"I think it would be fun." Just like this night was pleasurable. The better they got to know one another, the more comfortable they would be.

There was no denying how Regulus felt in this moment. He felt like one of the luckiest vampires in Hemlock. Having, by chance, run into Vespara at the store and now they were having drinks, dancing and just generally spending time together when they had met mere hours ago. There was this strange feeling in his chest when he looked at her. What was that? He of course didn’t believe in love at first sight, that was silly, but there was definitely something there. Something new and different that he hasn’t quite figured out yet. There was of course just the smallest hint of desire in his cyan colored eyes. “Concerts of course. Somethings they are at little venues and sometimes at larger ones, it really just depends. There are seedier places of course, like the Brujah fighting rings or if you are into that kind of thing the Baali fighting pits.” He wasn’t sure what the female’s level of comfort was, those pits could get nasty. “Pretty much anything you desire is here if you know where to look.” He tilted his head slightly in thought. “Or if you aren’t interested in those the amusement park stays open peettt much twenty-four seven since it’s run by a group of Vampires.” Nodding he grinned wise, famgs slipping from beneath his upper lip as he did so. “Next time we’ll both be more prepared then.” It’s not like she was the only one, he hadn’t been prepared for a night out either but thankfully he could still pull it off. Regulus could feel a heat creep into his face as she mentioned wanting to see him in those scrappy pants he just bought. Finishing off his drink he offered his hand to her. “Are you ready to dance then?”

Vespara listened and took note of all the possible things that could be done in Hemlock. She was, perhaps, a bit of a homebody by nature... but that mostly had to do with her ambition and studies. She couldn't rightfully prove herself useful to her father's or the clan if she was lollygagging about or simply living off the tailcoats of Claudius. However, even she couldn't stay cooped up forever, and old books, tomes, business studies, and rituals. Her focus was almost always on how to support familly and clan... but taking a little time away might not hurt.
Her ears pricked a bit at the idea of Brujah fighting rings or Baali fighting pits. She wondered how often Regulus found himself at those venues. Perhaps there was more of an edge to him than she knew. How intriguing. "I've not been to either of those," she confessed with a rueful grin. "But I've heard the Baali fighting pits can be quite a thing to witness." Certainly, it wouldn't be something her fathers would approve of, or condone... but the idea of them was intriguing. She was a sadist, after all, and beneath her sweet smiles and pretty words did a darker beast prowl. "Do you go to those pits and rings often, signore?" She asked, genuinely curious.
Concerts were well and good, and she certainly loved music in all its forms-- but seeing the darker side of the world had always interested Vespara. The more ways to hurt, harm, and kill a man could only serve the family all the better.
Setting down her drink, which was mostly polished off, Vespara eagerly took his offered hand within her own. "I've been ready since we arrived," she confessed with pleasure. The music wasn't, perhaps, the heady and loud bass-pumping music found at various clubs, but it had a good beat, and would allow the two of them a bit of fun. So it was, Vespara was more than happy to draw him towards the dance floor, and lose herself to his charms and the music.
All things considered, this was turning into a very nice night.
Better yet, she discovered the dress she wore was perfect for dancing -- comfortable to move in, and the skirt flowed when she twirled or twisted, nicely complimenting her figure. She'd keep that in mind in future -- originally she'd picked it out simply because it allowed ample movement while she hunted. Maybe tonight it would serve a second purpose, and help encourage another's eyes on her.

“They’re brutal. Watching someone get their face pulverized in a ring or the smell of blood in the pits is….exhilarating.” The last time he had gone to one of the fighting rings a venue wide fight had broken out after the guy who was slated to win got tapped on the chin and knocked out after thirty seconds into the first round. It was complete and utter chaos. Regulus had managed to escape relatively unscathed though. “I try and hit up at least one or two fights on the weekend. The weekday fights are ok but the big tickets are weekend only.” He tilted his head slightly, a mischievous glint in those cyan colored eyes. “Why did you want to go to those too? We could make a night of it. Clubbing, fights, why not?” He followed her out onto the dance floor. It took him a minute to get into a groove, Regulus was used to more fast paced dancing but this would do fine too. His eyes never left her form as he watched her twirl and spin, the dress she wore exentuating all her curves the right way and he couldn’t help but find himself staring at her as they moved on the dance floor.

She already knew she wasn't allowed to to the Sin Bin, and she was fairly certain a Brujah fighting ring, or a Baali pit was entirely out of the question -- but on the other hand, she knew she was capable and responsible. She wouldn't go out of her way looking for trouble, but there was a lot in Hemlock she'd not experienced. Regulus certainly had her beat when it came to experiencing the city's night life... It was one thing to read about the world, and another entirely to experience it.
"It's a date then," she agreed with a saucy grin. "You sound like a man who knows his way around the city. What's a little bloodshed between friends?" She asked with a small laugh. She wasn't intimidated by the thought. If anything, she was all the more intrigued. Perhaps some in her family might consider it low-brow, but she was certain an equal amount of them made money off those fights in some way, or enjoyed them themselves.
Unlike Regulus, Vespara had no problem getting into the rthythm and groove of the music. She was used to a variety of sounds, and grew up in a family that knew how to throw quite the party. For as much as Vespara had a keen interest in death, and for as badly as she wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and wrangle wraiths all her own--she also enjoyed music in all its forms. "Relax, carino," she encouraged, "Maybe we should have gotten you a stronger drink?" She teased. Thankfully, he seemed to ease his way into the music.
If Vespara noticed him watching, she encouraged the attention with how she moved. She was a predator, after all, and a huntress in her own right, and she was watching Regulus with interest renewed. Her purple and gold gaze drank up his figure, watching his every move. As far as she was concerned, it was just the two of them on the dance floor... and that was just fine by her.

“You just want to watch me make a fool of myself is all.” Regulus teased back with a smirk on his lips he chickled, his eyebrows lifting just so. But he had already begun to relax once he’s found a good rhythm. The male vampire being more accustomed to a faster beat and tempo had to retrain his brain to slow down just a bit. “You have to know Hemlock or else it will eat you alive.” A date? Well that was easy enough. Regulus didn’t even really have to ask she just went for it. “A date.” He agreed, he would take her to all these things and make sure she had a good time. Being at home all the time, reading books and doing whatever else Vespara did in her time didn’t seem to fun to him. But then again hr had never been book smart or into books in general. Oh, he was street smart for sure but that was different. Part of his wondered if that would factor into whatever this was that was starting to form between them. Maybe she’s get bored of him eventually and leave. That sent a small wave of dread rippling through him. As he turned he locked eyes with her, noting how she continued to dance in a way that kept his attention locked solely on her. The world seemed to melt away and it was just the two of them out there dancing on the dance floor.

Vespara grinned at the other and gave a small shake of her head, letting her long, black hair fall over her purple eye. "Well, maybe just a little," she teased playfully. "Or maybe I just want you feeling good," she mused. If he could relax fully around her, what might he be like, she wondered? What might she be like? Comfort could only come with time, but it was a fun thought all the same.
She was warming up to him nicely enough--but she still wanted to know more. Well, all in good time. There was no rushing getting to know someone--and Vespara was certainly anything but an open book. Right now, everything was safe... he didn't need to know her secrets, her family, her Clan. He was so different from many of her fellow clanmates, how could she not be interested in spending some time with him?
"Perfetto," she purred, though whether that was in response to the date, or just for Regulus alone, was difficult to say. Perhaps it was meant for both She shimmied a bit closer, each twist and turn bringing her just a little closer to the other. She didn't want to crowd him, but Vespara was anything but shy. What was another step or two? Harmless. It wasn't like she was some harpy or Daeva trying to draw him into her allurements--but dancing was a good excuse to get just a little closer, even for just a moment.

Regulus laughed, reaching over to brush the hair back that had fallen over her eye. “Oh I see how you are.” Shaking his head he laughed again while he continued to move to the music. “I’m already feeling good just being here with you.” He was glad he had run into Vespara, he was having a great time and could only imagine how much fun they would have the next time they got together. Whenever that may be. Whatever she wanted to know the vampire would have probably told her. He didn’t have any real secrets. No clan, his only vampire family was his brother. Well, now that he thought about it what would she think if she knew both his parents were mortals? That though kind of made him nervous. Would she hold that fact against him? In time maybe he would tell her but now was not the time for such things. He had noticed that Vespara was getting closer to him. Every now and again she eould inch closer. Regulus didn’t mind, in fact he kind of like the idea of her being close to him. The male held out a hand for her to take so that they could dance together. Cause that’s what you do.

Vespara liked the touch of the others hand against her hair--it was new, exciting, and she couldn't have been more happy that she tended to wear her bangs long. Would she have felt this way around any other? ... she certainly didn't around some of the fledgling Giovanni, and besides picking on some of the family, or teasing, the experience wasn't the same. She'd never had any interest in any of the other families or their sons, or daughters for that matter... But the cute, spotted Fae had clearly made a good impression on her. She was no flirt, after all...so it surprised her that she was keen on spending more time with him.
Their night wasn't even finished, and she already couldn't wait for another.
Perhaps it was silly, but Vespara didn't care. It was a new feeling, a new interest, and she liked it. Just like she liked when Regulus confessed to feeling good just being with her. She couldn't help but feel smug and pleased, as if she were the winner of some unspoken competition. "Good. I want you to feel good, carino," and that was the truth.
At his offered hand, she took it, settling in a bit closer. She liked the feel of his touch, enjoyed the way he watched her, and was glad to have this opportunity. She hoped the DJ kept the music going, because she didn't want the moment to end.
Unfortunately....
Fate wasn't on their side.
One minute, everyone was dancing, the next, there was some sort of holler, and the cracking of bone hitting bone. "You ******** with one of us, you ******** with all of us!" Before she had a chance to react, a large, now-bleeding vampire stumbled back and right into the neighboring crowd of dancers. The push of the crowd had her shoved right into Regulus.
"Hey!" She objected with a hiss, half-turning to see what was going on. Who the name of Grendel was spoiling her fun?
The man who had originally been knocked back now seemed angry. He grabbed a nearby patron, literally throwing the other vampire at whoever had struck first. Whether it was the alcohol, something personal, or petty, Vespara couldn't say-- but it didn't take long for chaos to start to break out. The scent of blood was on the air, tempers of some groups had already flared, and there were plenty of vampires who seemed to be on some sort of side.
And still, the DJ played on.

As she took his hand he spun her a few times before drawing her in closer to him. He enjoyed the closeness. Admittedly he hasn’t ever really danced this close to really anyone. Even at the clubs when girls tried to dance with him he hadn’t gotten this close to them. But he was enjoying himself. What he said about feeling good with her was the truth. Oddly enough he felt in good spirits around her. She made him happy. It was nice to have someone to spend his night with and he greatly looked forward to the next time. Regulus hoped it wouldn’t be that long of a wait until then. But as soon as they had started dancing a commotion broke out and Regulus looked up from gazing down at her. The crowd of people had stopped dancing and a large kat stumbled backwards through the crowd and into Vespara, pushing her up against him. Regulus grasped her shoulders to steady her. His brow furrowing as he glanced to the other male. “I would apologize to the lady if I were you.” His voice rumbled from his chest dropped with annoyance. His tail swiping back and forth behind him. Regulus could care less if the guy was larger than him. Everyone was the same size on the ground.
