Yawning, Melody switched off the television as she finally readied herself to go to bed. Note to self: Don't watch a cartoon marathon until midnight. Still, it was worth it. Cartoons were extremely entertaining and helped take her mind over some distracting thoughts.
With a twist of the doorknob and a slight push, she entered her bedroom where Mereneth was already sleeping. Stifling yet another yawn with her right hand, she walked towards her canopy bed, wishing to sink into the pillows and get some shut eye. Just as she passed Mereneth's little bed however...
"An old bearded man with robes waved his hand and a small vial filled with a light blue liquid appeared hovering in the air. He grasped it and opened the vial, a flowery smell filling the room. Uncorking the vial, he poured some of its contents onto hands that looked charred and horribly burnt. It seemed to sting at first but it slowly took effect, light skin replacing the black..."
Blinking, Melody steadied herself. What was that? She never really had such a vision before. Perhaps it was Mereneth's dream, perhaps...
Geez, all she wanted to do was SLEEP!

It wasn't long till Mereneth seemed to grow taller and was already learning how to walk, with the delight of everyone. However, his mischief seemed to grow with his height...
The wispy tail Merenth once had was turning more solid and bright orange-red. Melody now had to cut a hole through his clothes for the tail to fit through, complaining about the whole thing about measurements and pricking her finger too much. So it wasn't surprising when Mereneth had crawled out to the garden to escape bickering between Lyallana and his mommy.
Today, he was wearing a khaki overalls with a dark long-sleeved red shirt which sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. Looking around to make sure no one was looking, he began playing with his power, letting the orb of fire diminish and expand in size as he giggled in delight.
When it was evening and Melody found him....
"WTF!?!?!?!!" A scream resounded through the air.
"Melody Georgina Ammeritz Flame Li Ann!" Lyallana slammed a door, "What do you think you're saying?"
The redhead winced as she covered her mouth. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But just look at him!"
The ends of Mereneth's overalls were burnt slightly and so were the sleeves of the shirt.
"HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO PLAY WITH FIRE?!"

Dear Diary,
It's been a few days since I got Alora from D-Corp, that nasty place that blackmailed me into adopting here. Still, I don't mind, Alora's an absolute darling. Mereneth and Gywn welcomed her as well.
The funny thing is, Gywn suddenly disappeared yesterday. Mereneth began pulling Alora around the mansion for a frantic search of their sister, but to no avail. I hadn't the heart to tell them what happened, when Fauste told me. I just had to say that she would come back soon, which is what we would get from taking care of the some stone or tree. These twins were also sent to help us. I found them rather amusing. I think Fauste was annoyed, but then again, he's almost always annoyed.
Mereneth started calling Alora "Aloe Vera" once he heard that word from Lyllana, gleefully repeating it everytime he saw her. She doesn't mind though, and thinks it's rather cute. However, I made a mistake by telling her she should call him a name too, like "Merry Go Round". How it popped into my head, I have no idea. But since then, both have been calling each other that.
Then again, I'm getting busy with THREE more kids at once from the Tenjutsu, a letter I got quite a few days ago. Rune, the one in charge of the centre agreed that it was too many, but oh well. Anyway, Alora met a new friend there too, Jewel, a D-Corp kiddy too.
...I'd better stop writing now, lest Kaylee flies in and starts commenting about what I write again. I can hear the flaps of her wings...

Dear Diary,
Mere can talk to animals.
It's not just Kaylee or Alora.
I found him talking to a dog today; he insisted that the dog was telling him about it's hurt owner. I didn't exactly believe him, but then he ran off with the dog, and I had to follow him.
And who knows? It was true after all. We managed to free the little boy, it was lucky he didn't suffer much hurt from those thorns.
...I wonder if he'll find a way to do any nonsense out of this.

Righto.
MiMy mom sezsays I should start a jerneljournal of some sort, to write my totsthoughts into.
A few days ago, I met Aurelius again. It mekes makes me wonder, if we do really hate each other. I mean, we seemed rather nutalneutral when we met. And do you know, she's fireproof! That means if I'm angry at her next time, I can't use my powers against her. Darn. So, should I treat her as an enemy or a friend?
Then, I met this kutsinekitsune woman that had about the same energy as my mother. I do wonder if they eat sugar, I hear it hypes people up. She discovered, through me, that her parchment was in fact, holding an Illusionary, and got a little freaked. Though ESP is the only thing we need, eat, sleep, play.

It was fuzzy.
Mist seemed to appear everywhere and clouded up his vision. Where was he? He tried to fight, to wave his arm in an attempt to clear it. And blinked. His arm was bare, no long sleeves covering it and his palm looked different. Much bigger. Looking down at himself to scrutinise his clothing, he blinked at the toga wrapped around him. It seemed as though it was a dress. And it was white, tinged with some dust pools and tatters.
Blink. Blink.
Just as it had became clearer, someone caught him by the collar of his toga and lifted him above the ground. This person was strong, he could sense it, and was obviously superior. For some strange reason, he felt a stirring of fear in his heart. The person demanded in a deep and gruff voice, obviously it was a man, that he was late for his duties. To clean spring of sorts before some guests arrived.
He wanted to talk back, jerk and demand why he was obliged to, but he found his body not responding. As his feet reached the ground and the grip loosened, he felt his head drooping to the ground and his back arching into a bow and murmuring apologies and offering to go immediately. The man gave a grunt in response for him to hurry up.
He felt his feet running, racing amongst this unfamiliar place. Where was he to go when he had never been to this place before? As he glanced down, he was shocked to see the floor covered in some mist of sorts. Something told him that this was familiar, but he couldn't quite place it in his mind. Suddenly, he stopped, and bent down beside a bucket near a clear spring; why on earth would the man want it cleaned when he could already see his reflection in it?
Squeak. Squeak.
He found that he could only watch helplessly behind his eyes, unable to control his body at all. His hands, reached into the pouch by his side and lifted out a little dragon, the source of that sound. His heart felt a deep stirring, the leathery wings and the tail, looked awfully familiar. As the tiny animal sneezed, some smoke came out of it's nostrils and it choked, wheezing slightly. He looked around, to see if anyone was watching.
Good. No one.
His hands set the dragon back into the comfort of the pouch and then, cupping his palms together, he scooped some water out from the pond, murmuring some words he could barely hear himself. And with a poof, the spring shone, as if there were crystals and diamonds in them and he felt a sense of awe. His hands dumped the original water, which was looking rather dirty as compared to the spring now, into the bucket. Then he reached down again for another scoop of water. He prepared himself for yet another prayer of sorts, and that the water would be as bright as fireworks soon, but no.
His hands, still cupped, made it's way to the dragon in the pouch. Chirping with happiness, it dipped it's tiny snout in the water and drank. With a few slurps, it was all gone, and the dragon's scales glistened with a red colour and a flame appeared at the end of it's tail.
He felt his lips curve into a smile as his hands lifted the dragon up, up to his eye level. And then, his lips parted.
"Alright, you can go now," He heard himself whisper, and the voice was tinged with kindness and happiness.
The dragon chirped it's thanks as it's eyes shone with gratitude. Spreading it's tiny wings, it gave him a last glance before flapping off into the distance.
His job was done.
And he was sinking. Sinking back into the clouds, the mist surrounded him again...

Dear diary,
It's fast, so very fast. Mereneth has grown much taller, and also much heavier. It's hard to carry him now, not that he wants to.
And he seems to have changed. He's developed a sort of kindness, using his ability to talk with animals to help them. He found a mother cat and her kittens, starving in a gutter yesterday and brought them all back, begging me to let him keep them. I couldn't say no, of course, but I think Temujin's jealous.
I'm rather happy, happy that he's being so nice, but rather suspicious with this change. Not that I don't welcome it, but he seems more responsible. And he's taking charge of cleaning his room up, he insisted that Lyallana, or anybody else shouldn't help him.
He's developed an obsession with Axel however, ever since that Halloween. He's spiking his hair up, which has grown longer, and he refuses to let me cut it. And with a black hoodie, he managed to beg Lyallana to modify it, so it looked like the top of the coat. So he dons it everyday proudly, with the silver zip with the X and the other accessories on it. He rather likes the colour black now.
He's also developed another power, I don't know if the invisibility potion had something to do with it, but he can now make his tail and wings appear and disappear at will. He rather likes to make his wings visible, but his tail always looks like it's fading, and he insists this is cool.

Yeah, it's me again.
My spelling has improved muchly now, thanks to school. Mom sent me to some co-ed school; well, it's better than some stinky guys school. I heard you can go gay there. And also, we don't need to wear uniforms. The others in my class ain't so bad, Marc, the boy I sit next to, is actually quite shy and nerdy, but he's a nice person once you get to know him.
The problem is, I can't sneak the kittens there. Flash, Lily, Shauna, Patch and Splash. Flash's my favourite(not that I can tell them that of course), he's black with a reddish-brown streak down his back. Lily's a sweet one, she's the one that's white with just a few brownish spots. Shauna is rather tomboyish, it matches her coat pattern too, black and brown splashes. Patch has got a black splotch over one eye and he's white. Splash, well, he's just a mixture of red, black and white splashes. Quite obvious huh? It's always quite fun talking to them.
Can't talk now, Mom's calling me to go to school.
