** The Autumn Of Life**

The trees rustle with the winds that only the powers of autumn seriously wield, about the earthly landscape. The various trees have begun to show their glorious spender as the leaves slowly radiate with colors belonging to the rainbows of spring. Then I watch of in the distance as each softly caresses the earth. The early morning air is so crisp these days that it brings out my beloved cozy sweater. I wrap within it to warm my waking hours. It all has my heart longing to write something and has my feet prepped to walk along lovely places. The deeper part of me has long understood that this is my time of year.

This is the time where my soul lives and relishes to be. smile

Many published writers have written of how the autumn of life is the better portion of life. I would not disagree with their deductions. However, I would add that I so wish that such a time ...the time of autumn... came in a person`s 20`s and not their 60`s to 70`s. ( There could be less of many things. If it were in ones 20`s..... ( However the �summer of life� is a must for the �autumn of life� to exist.) The autumn of a person life is when wisdom, kindness, experience, and hard work have begun to reap rewards.
At least that is the impression that I am left with.... even though I do feel it is even more than these things that have been afore mentioned. Saying that, I realize how fortunate I, am & how lucky I, am....... to have people in my life to share their autumn times & wisdom. To pass on what most people at my age miss out on.

What gives me a kick in life?
Am not certain what they intended but I replied the following answer:

�Waking up...just waking up.� smile heart

We occasionally dream truly fascinating things. Stuff that we would adore to have as part of our lives. Things that we would dare not do. Even stuff that is beyond horrifying, or any moments that are more of a certain something that are different then our norm.
But then we wake up and "life is what we make it". What a marvelous thing to have happen each new day. smile

A solitary hawk flies amongst the winds
With princely soaring of gliding wings
A single shriek sounds fills the sky
�Arise fly with me... come in all quarters and fly�

My soul joyously drifts to upward to be a part
To feel the beating of its brave heart
My essence is one with this prince of the sky
I know the meaning to fly free and so high

I experience the winds caressing my soul
And ascend to the clouds without a goal
My essence quivers with delight
A treasure I receive this very tonight

The hawk's flight of soaring high in the breeze
Is a pure gift of what it means to be free
