Zanzibar I may be 20 so I'm not the target group for your post but I am sad to hear that you stumbled across so many furries that were merly interested in sex, heh. No wonder MTV and media portray us the way they do... CSI ep 406 "Fur and Loathing" gonk But Zanzibar has a point, there are plenty of older furs that will talk to you despite your age, and not everything revolves around sex...As a matter of fact, I don't have anyone in my group that does focus on sex as a furry...

And I am 19 turning 20 in November of this year. So yeah, not many older furs here are into that stuff. Not me at least.

I am 24, so to me you all nothing but cubs. razz But I honestly do not pay that much attention to age and as long as you behave properly I will show you mutual respect. As things go, even older people can be very immature, naive and ignorant, but as far as the whole angst things goes... Hey, I was a teenager once I still remember what it was like. I feel kind of stupid for behaving the way I did those years, but it isn't like it can be helped much, it is a difficult time in ones development.

well I'm 18 but I have gained the ability to be able to relate with people as old as 30 and as young as 13. Since yiff is never the first thing on my mind I often never talk about it, which is good for younger furs. Besides IRL I can still be rather childish razz But only when it's ok to be. I
m also a verry grown up person razz

I'm 16, My oldest and closest friend is 24. Yes, I even know her off of the internet.
Relationships with a large age gap can be easy depending on the two person themselves. It just depends if it bothers you if that person is a lot older/younger I guess.
I recently met someone who's in their twentys, who can't see past the fact I'm 16. I just look to my other friends who are clearly much older than I am, and shrug it off. It's almost strange to see it happen. sweatdrop Even ontop of that we had a lot of similar interests. Meh.

I'm 20, which I know isn't the target of your post, but even at 20 it's a pain because you're not old enough to go everywhere freely if you wanted to. I myself am a homebody and don't really go much of anywhere, but I look forward to turning 21 not because of the drinking (because I don't drink) but because if I wanted to go to a bar or something, I could. And most of my closest furry friends are quite a bit older than me, so options are nice to have. ^^

I'm a sixteen year old Furry and I happen to be Bisexual; I'm the only Furry in my entire area and might be for a long time. I don't know of any Furries in my area; but I know someone who does and all he wants to do is terrorize them...That's what kind of makes me mad about him...
...The best place for me to mess around with Furries right now is on Second Life where ANYTHING goes at the moment. xD

Atlanta? Dude, there are tons of furs down there. o.O Some of them extreamly well known in the artist community to boot. Not to mention the new annual convention that got started up down there that is quickly growing in popularity.

Beleive me, being legal to drive, have sex, smoke, buy porn, drink and totally eff up my life isn't all that hot. Age never limited me from doing the things i really wanted to do, draw and find cool friends. i mean sex is nice and so is very good muscato (a very tasty white wine) but if your friends are trustworthy, you can get a comfortable taste of what you are curious about before being legal. I respect anyone who will treat others withe respect, their intelligence or age has nothing to do with it. It is nice to comisserate with friends my age about jobs and boyfriends, but I also like getting to talk to people from other age groups because anyone can have cool ideas or be interesting without being limited by age. as for the "furry revolving around sex" thing, IT'S NOT JUST FURS! it's about half to two thirds of the human population. I love sex, and learning about sex and biology is really fun, but there are some crazy sex fiends in most of the US opoulation. Furs have some wierd sex aassociations, but almost every subculture group does. Goths have vampires, S&M, siuicide,japan and anime fans have tentacle rape, lolita, blah blah blah.... i could go on about most popular subcultures and find a few stereotypical sex acts associated with most. Um, and CSI is the WORST show to get any accurate info from. they don't really know anything about most groups they parody. i saw a really lame martial art one that was really freaking bad. They had no idea how to make a good plot or non-stupid characters. i like their episodes that are just about the more usual cases one might experience working in a crime lab. the 'trying to be cool by making fun of some group," eps could be actually funny, but they settle for the lame & shallow jokes that are glaring stereotypes if you know much about the group. It's not that big of a deal, just kind of silly... The sex craze is a reflection of a sexually conservative society and it is lame that normal people that aren't crazy have to suffer it. However, it makes me pretty decent money. Plus people are into sensational crap, and aren't going to look past the "OMG FURSUIT SEX!" long enough to notice the other people that don't have sex in a bugs bunny outfit... razz sweatdrop
