Sasuke wants to kill Itachi. That's what he has been trying to do ever since his clan's death. WHY IN HEAVENS NAME WOULD HE LET HIM WALK AWAY?!
I'd say Orochi would ultimately stop Sasuke before he kills Itachi and take his body. That sounds what Orochi would do.

I'd say Orochi would ultimately stop Sasuke before he kills Itachi and take his body. That sounds what Orochi would do. I never said it was necessarily logical. I just said that it was how it was gonna end. Because Killing Is Bad. It might also be an interesting way for Sasuke to best Itachi at his own game. Itachi spared Sasuke because he wasn't worth it. It's possible Sasuke might decide to do the same thing for the same reason. Have Itachi at his mercy and then declare "you're not worth it" etc, etc. It's actually not an uncommon theme: having people grow beyond vengence, and have them decide not to take it. It's not a bad idea. Vengence is, at it's heart, rather impractical and unrealistic. Wether or not Kishimoto will go down that path is hard to say. He had Shikamaru take out Hidan, after all. But that was Shikamaru, not Sasuke. Sasuke's story and situation is very different, and Kishimoto might decide to solve it a different way. Anyways, we'll see. I don't mind being utterly wrong, so I'm comfortable with making wild suggestions. We'll just have to see if I'm right, neh? wink

XD Most likely he'll either break down, kill himself, or try and kill them to show he's stronger then Itachi. Hell, I also see Orichimare getting him in the end. Just imagine it. o__o Sasuke with a long tounge.

Itachi vs. Sasuke happens and Itachi wins. Sasuke realizes he's weak after all and that he can't take Itachi. He tries to commit Seppuku (sp?), but Naruto stops him. ''The key to defeat your opponent is teamwork, rmember?''
Team 7 vs. Itachi. Itachi gets beated up badly and Orochimaru takes him away.

You know what would be neat? If we could have some sort of guild betting pool over the end of Naruto, what will happen to Itachi, which member of Akatsuki will die next, who'll hook up with who at the end, etc. The Guild accepts donations, right? We could charge X amount for tickets. Have the Guild give out prizes . . . man. Does any one know if that's against Gaia's TOS? Or anyone who knows anything about running that kind of thing? Or is Naruto too long a series for people to find it worth while?

It would pretty much have to be guild run, though, to help avoid any "oops, I ran off with all the gold!" issues. That, or, uh, you or I could run it. xd There'd have to be limits to the choices. . . hmm.

I don't think they were married. I believe they were engaged. There was no wedding. If there was, I'm sure Naruto would've tagged along, and Team 10 would have never left their sensei alone about it (at least not Ino and Chouji; I believe Shikamaru and Asuma talked about it alone long before anyone else knew).
Also, that probably isn't the first time Shikaku has beaten his own son. Shikamaru is the carbon mold of Shikaku. I have said time time and time again, and no one believed me.
Also, no one believed that Shikaku wrote the Medical books that Tsunade was using. He wrote ALL of those, and it says so in the Second Data Book.
Anyway, Verd, just face it. You want to have Shikamaru's baby now. cool
