How many generations?

I barely make it to the third generation. I just love change and adventure, so I always come up with a new idea. Though, I let my sims live through their lives in the same neighborhood, so that I can at least see where they end up.

I tried a legacy and made it to the sixth generation. I was so sick of babies I'm just letting that neighbourhood rot for a while.
Usually I top out around three generations before it gets boring having so much money and the house is full of so much stuff it takes too long to load.

Currently in Sims 3 I've not made it past my first generation. I am playing 5 different families in different towns though.

i get really bored really easily. so the farther i've gotten is maybe the fourth gen.

somtimes i start a family with the grandparents, parents and kids, sothe generations go by fast. i don'tadd those circumstances in my tally, though.
