Miko_Sohma applecyder Lady Dracor I do not believe there is a real link... I agree with this comment... This is an interesting topic; I never even considered it! I, too, have both artistic and grammatical abilities (I have also been told that I am a good writer) but I don't think the talents themselves are connected. It is more the personality type, as was mentioned before. We are, for lack of a better term, perfectionists who take great pride in our work and always put a lot of effort and care into it; therefore, it makes sense that someone who uses good grammar would also be an artist. 3nodding
By the way, applecyder, I love the spelling icon in your sig. rofl
Thankies. I 'borrowed' it from another Gaian domokun
I just read the actor behind Mr. Bean's opinion on perfectionism in this month's issue of Reader's Digest.
The danger of that, of course, is the implication that everything you've done is perfect, which is a long way from the truth. But there's always the feelingthat there's something just out of reach that's moving away from you all the time. That can be very frustrating.

Aubrey Nicole SilverBellsAbove Good art = not lazy = Good grammar. cool That about sums it up!
I completely disagree.
I'm the laziest person you may ever have the pleasure of meeting, but my grammar is phenomenal--well, for someone of my, er, laziness. >_>
I'm also a pretty good sketch-er.
I think the correlation just has to do with intelligence to a point...It's not all of it, but it is a point of it.
But to be a Grammarian, it is assumed that one pays attention to details--ie paying attention to detail, which is a key part of art.
I think that's more the equation and not...the laziness theory. >_>

[Joan De Arc] MadnessFreak [Joan De Arc]: Glad to hear it. PS: Watch those apostrophes! (Spelling mistake?) Okay, not entirely related, but I'm pretty proud of myself for this one: Link to picture.Guns... And a pistol too.. *drools* THAT'S SO AWESOME! Sorry, apostrophes are me weakness... ARE there apostrophes on chibi? Thakyou, I love it when people appreciate my work for how I've done it, not how I could. Anyway, as for apostrophes, they are generally used to me as a method of directly linking possesion terms. But then again, I never listen in English lesson. This is how I see it:
Chibi's: Possesion of a chibi. Ie: This is my Chibi's house.
Chibis: Plural of chibi. Ie: I like to draw chibis.

Miko_Sohma @applecyder: Oh, I kind of "borrowed" it from you, too, if that's ok. xd
Yes, that is very true. I'm always afraid of sounding boastful or show-offy (sorry for making up a word sweatdrop ) especially in school, which is why I often keep my comments to myself.
I watched a documentary once about these young, gifted children who were supposedly extreme "perfectionists." They were asked to draw something very simple, and they had a hard time with it because they kept erasing and starting over. gonk
@MadnessFreak: eek Wow, that's really good! What program did you use to make that? I cannot draw with a mouse, at all... domokun I used nothing but an outline trace reference from WorldGuns (the irony here is that the owner of the site has written amazing books), Flash 8 Professional, a crappy mouse (thank God for the undo button) and a gradient mixer. I actually made it under a friend's request for a project we are working on. Again, thankyou for the praise. It only inspires me to do more. ^^

I have a damned hard time with straight lines, myself, and it's enough of a trial trying to color with a mouse, let alone draw with one. Kudos to you =) Thankyou. =D To be honest I sort of halfassed it (pretty much all shading was gradient shading), and I think the grip came out quite weird, but I did a pretty good job overall in my opinion. I admire your talent. I can't draw with a mouse at all. I wish I could, though.
