The monster flashes yellow as the shards of ice fly through it. Zeke laughs as it rears back in pain. Zeke quickly grabs his staff and steps back a bit...

The monster's skin flashes a soft, yellowish colour. The black mage quickly decided to try out his arsenal on this monster... He would play with all the elements he had, and find which one seemed to kill it the best.

Digging through his knowledge, the black mage decides to use a water-based magic attack. Bringing his right palm forward, like the other spells, Zeke began to focus on pulling the moisture out of the air...

Soon a good deal of water was formed and swirling in mid-air in front of his palm... Focusing on pushing the water with his magic, the water shot forth and it swirled in the air, directly at the monster's face.

"You're lookin' a lil' parched! Have a drink! Splash!"

The creeping slime's skin flashes purple as 8HP of damage is delivered from the Splash. It lashes out with Spark to deliver 1HP.

The goomba staffer makes a critical strike for 2HP with one kick while missing with the second. Cross takes advantage of the opportunity and side glances it for 8HP before Charge fades.

=He hasn't done a thing, so he steps off to try to do something to that giant monster! Wait, never mind. Benjamin stays put and keeps up the Pray of protection.=

A deep blue hue flashes across the creatures skin as a huge 21HP blow is dealt. It doesn't hesitate to fire off a Splash of its own. The spell somehow misses and lands on the floor...

A the mukky creature thing flashed a deep blue, and it's tentacles shot up into the air and flailed wildly. Zeke smiled, and he knew that the creature was on it's last legs... Or at least he hoped it was.

Quickly digging up his already cast spell knowledge, he recalled his most favorite spell... His eyes glowed a purple-ish color as he held out his palm once more and aimed at the monster.

Sparks quickly appeared on his hands and they rushed together to form a ball of electricity. The air crackled around Zeke, and time seemed to move slowly... He concentrated and he brought his hand back slightly...

"...Spark!"

The ball of lightning rushed forwards towards the big mukky creature...

Zeke is victorious. The slime creature dies and begins to fall flat against the floor. That stench fills the air with increased intensity as is falls to liquid and fills the entire room with a millimeter thick mash. It's a strange mixture of creature, partially dissolved rats, concrete, and sewer. This had got to be one of Bowser's creatures...

He's feeling stronger because of it! He gained two levels and permanent statistic increases of 1 MP, 1 DEF, and 2 SPT! As with the level increase, he gets to choose and compare. The first two dice are his Level 2 bonus, and he gets to choose the highest of them NOT BOTH. The second two dice are his Level 3 bonus, and he gets to choose the highest of them NOT BOTH.






Cross and Benjamin are also feeling stronger.

Cross gained two levels and permanent statistic increases of 1 HP, 1 STR, and 2 DEF! As with the level increase, he gets to choose and compare. The last two dice roles are his to compare to the next post's dice rolls.

Benjamin gained two levels and permanent statistic increases of 1 HP, 1 SP, 1 STR, and 1 DEF! The third two dice are his Level 2 bonus, and he gets to choose the highest of them NOT BOTH. The fourth two dice are his Level 3 bonus, and he gets to choose the highest of them NOT BOTH.

Noticing a gleam from the mukky remains, Zeke quickly grabbed what it seemed was a key. After examining it more closely, Zeke realized that it was in fact the key to the dungeon cell...

Also, he found a bone tail of a rat and took two pieces of rat meat. He had hoped that those supplies would help him get out of this dungeon alive... Because he didn't want to eat any more rat meat than he needed to. Zeke quickly cooked up the rat meat and pocketed them. Then he rested for a little bit until he felt at full strength.

Walking up to his jail cell, he quickly unlocked his cell and walked over to the front of Bowser's cell. Zeke stuck the key into the lock and turned it, and as soon as the door clicked. He quickly removed the key and put it in his pocket.

"Alright, you're free Bowser. You can come with me to get out, or do whatever you wanna do."

Turning around Zeke headed up the stairs, left wondering if Bowser was going to follow him and help him get out.

What lays before Zeke is actually a rather straightforward tunnel to the surface. In fact, he can see the light. Head towards the light! *ahem* Anyway... There are some rats about, but Zeke will know when he comes across one by the way it squeaks. For the moment, most of them are avoiding him because he just defeated a creeping slime, and those things eat rats! The key remains in Zeke's hand; though, it obviously can't be used again.

Bowser stomps out the door. He looks up at the ceiling as if deciding if he should try infiltrating his castle or not. Instead, he turns towards Zeke. "If ya can get out o'ere without my help, I got a reward for ya." He smirks. "Somethin' like a reward seein' if ya worthy."

Specifications: Lead Bowser to the sewer exit without involving the Koopa King.
Requirements: Engage enemies and defeat them without receiving aid from Bowser. Reach at least Level 5 by the time the sewers are exited.








Cross takes the spike and vest and just kind of looks at them. They have no obvious use... Shaking his head, he pockets them. Peach smiles as she approaches the two boys and two girls. "I think it's fair to say the girls will be staying with me in my castle?" Cross shakes his head before any objections are raised, and Daisy quickly moves to muffle whatever Marie and Sarah were about to say. "Good. We'll keep the girls safe while you two march ahead of us. Just clear the way for us as he head into town."

Specifications: KO any threat along the path towards the Mushroom Kingdom. Only the front needs guarded.
Requirements: Keep ahead of Peach, Daisy, and Luigi and don't look back. Reach at least Level 5 before reaching the Mushroom Kingdom.

Cross looks at Peach and shrugs. "I've got no problem with that." He looks at Benjamin, guessing part of it hinges on him as well. He has a feeling he'll accept. After all, it's a chance to grow stronger. He picks himself up to look over the horizon. He can see the road spiraling down towards Peach's Mushroom Kingdom, the town and the castle. It's a long enough path that there are certain to be enemies along... He takes hold of his wooden blade. At least he's gotten stronger thanks to this first encounter... Thankfully, Peach used a technique that completely recovered all of them!

=He walks up next to Cross, but he makes it a point to stay between the two, as he sees them, walls. He doesn't have the fighting power that they have, but he already knows his aid is well received.=
