I agree... to an extent.
I gave up on 'long term relationships'. After all, as I see it the relationship is really nothing more then a precursor to marriage. Which, tho I am not entirely against, do not support. But there is something to be said of interpersonal intimacy. It's a grand thing. You just need to separate your own expectations from that which society places upon you.

I feel curious to hear more of Plaid's thoughts on this topic. I feel, after studying Law and Psych, that Marriage should be a legal contract between parties that has a set expiration date and could be renewable upon the agreement of both parties...

And I understand where you're coming from Plaid, but honestly, I never coincide with society. And because of that, I'm always looking for someone who is not afraid to change their mind or have a certain opinion on something, despite pressure from myself, or society.

But everyone conforms. Everyone conforms because it's comfortable.

Apparently it's comfortable to be on pins and needles, waiting to be told the next move, always wondering if you're doing it ******** that. :/
