As she prepared to fight, the Conquest Artisan drew upon her skills and healed herself. Her blood-thirsty gaze became focused on the mob that appeared the most human. They will perish! I’ll help the others finish them off! But her thoughts were broken and her attack was interrupted as more confused and agitated snakes wrapped around her legs. Their presence threw her off and she took another few hits to the head.
“Enough of you serpents!” Sanjiva growled as she moved the snakes and sent them out of the area. She clenched her fists and began to move back towards the mob, taunting them, though she doubted they could understand her. "Why do you still live? What do you hope to accomplish by living?" At least there were no more snakes to distract her this time.

Torgus felt a sudden, stabbing pain, followed by feeling surprisingly better.
"Wh...what?" His vision came to focus and he saw a bow-wielding horseman wearing very funny clothes standing over him.
His gratitude could not be contained.
He threw himself at his fellow clansman, embracing him in an extremely long and uncomfortably awkward hug wherein he stared into his eyes for several agonizing seconds.
"THANK YOU," he whisper-yelled, and promptly returned the favor by stabbing the other horseman in the back. With love.

She had spun away from the tree as it withered and died, not taking the time to make sure it dissipated before she was moving on to another foe, this one almost human like in shape but headless, an oddity.
There wasn't much room, but there was just enough. She leaped towards it, her wings holding her aloft, and as she gathered her Fear, she felt something different, something new, a power that she hadn't been aware that she'd had before.
She unleashed it, her form changing instantaneously into that of a giant peregrine falcon, and she dove from above to attack with vicious talons, tearing at the headless enemy until it was felled.
She turned back to her usual form and landed back on the ground, a smirk on her lips.
Apparently you could teach an old b***h new tricks.

There.
A lone figure was off in the corner, so Zosma pivoted on her heel and turned to rush towards it, wings spread out as she curled her fingers over the top of the upper part of her palm, and struck at what she thought was a vital part of it, watching as it staggered and unraveled further.
It seemed to be super effective.
The thing seemed to take some time to compile itself together, so Zosma took a step back as it swung haphazardly, an eyebrow raising.
It wasn't much, was it?
Well. She was intent on taking it down.

Apparently the first strike had been one of surprise.
Zosma found that her second attack fell flat, and she paled, dancing back a few feet to stare at it as her fingers curled. She still felt her injured wing, and drew it close to her almost protectively, shoulders hunching.
Well, she felt like she was at a stand still.
And Zosma found quickly... that she didn't like that feeling at all.

It seemed that no matter how much Zosma attacked, her opponent blocked every chance it got -- she couldn't get an attack in no matter which way she tried, and she had the sinking feeling that it was just trying to wear her down.

It didn't matter what she did.
The thing wasn't giving her any advantage whatsoever.
Gritting her teeth together, Zosma shook her head, feeling her weighted bangles pull on her hair.
She was tempted to tear one out and throw it at the thing, but that would mean one less bangle, and then poofy hair.
And Zosma wasn't about to fight with poofy hair. Hell no.

Na'ima was not okay with any of this. She hung back, watching the horsemen fight. But she was exhausted, and her body ached, and she was not built for fighting. A bottle in her bag was reached for, held in her hand, and stared at. No..this would be better used on someone who could fight. She lifted her gaze to look around, spotting Wrath not far off. "Rathsvith," she called, though her voice never raised from its usual dreamy volume. The mare hurried toward him, though she didn't move as fast as she would like, her strength sapped from her by that damn diseased human. "Drink this. It should help..maybe. It is untested, I will admit."
