I'd have to say... Sasuke. Mostly because he's sad, and has lived in sorrow... and pain...
I like people like that. They are so lovable...
and cute...
and yaoi compatible...

Favorites? I can say that the only characters I don't like are Sasori, kinda Kisame, Kin, Yoroi, Sigure, Closet pervert, Gatou, Baki, Moegi, and Udon. But.....

#3-- Itachi/Orochimaru
#4-- Shikamaru/Shino/Neji/Rock Lee
#5-- Obito/Gaara
#6-- Hayate/Genma/Raidou/Izumo/Totetsu
#7-- Zabuza/Haku
#8-- Yondaime/Temari/Kankurou
#9-- Kiba/Dosu/Zaku/Chouji

Each character in Naruto that have had a tragic background (practically almost everyone) that shaped their life to develop this awesomely good story were all unique in their own way. Naruto was brash wanted just wants attention; Kakashi, the once "strict to the code" and brash kid that he once was is now calm, most enjoyable character in the whole story; etc. The list goes on. But what stands out the most is Gaara and his well developed story. I love his background, his look, his unique form of defense and offensive fighting style (funny, he just stands there most of the time watching what the opponent would do with such utter confidense...or is it because he is neglected, depressing little kid: either, or), and the fact he finds a sort of rest and reprieve as being *spoiler* a Kazekage of the Hidden Sand. Basically, hands down, Gaara is my most favorite out of:
In order of favorites
Kakashi (Hilarious Guy)
Rock Lee (an inspiration, striving to get better)
Shikamaru (I like smart people)
Jiraiya (hentai)
Sakura (hot)
Naruto (Never, EVER, give up)
Sasuke(man, what's this guys problem?...good guy though til the end Buwahaha)

Wow. There are so many characters that I like from the series that it's difficult to choose just one. My first favourite character was Sasuke, because his "OMG I AM AN AVENGER!!1 SO EMO!" attitude makes me happy and because we all know he's hiding his secret feelings for Naruto. Hah. Naruto is awesome as well, despite his overly loud and obnoxious attitude towards everything. But he never gives up on his beliefs and never lets his companions down, and I admire that. Kakashi, Iruka, and Gai are the type of teachers I would have wanted in high school. Temari is one of the only females in the entire manga that I don't want to punch in the face for being a whiny, worthless wimp. Tsunade is the other. Her gambling addiction is beautiful. Gaara is totally hot with his fishnets and eyeliner, oh yea. If I ever had a child, I would want one like him. Well, except for the whole dying during childbirth part. I even like the ***** Orochimaru and Itachi, because every series needs badass bad guys. Oh! And I will never forget Haku and Zabuza. Their story was my favourite part of the series so far. Haku's devotion to Zabuza was touching, and when Zabuza finally realizes his true feelings for Haku... it was heartbreaking.
Guh. ;_; Really, I like most every character.

The one that i love the most is Kakashi  .He is my favorite because he is like me blaugh ,because he is funny,mysterious(i want to see what is under his mask gonk ). I like Jiraya too because..i don't know i just like him sweatdrop . Shikamaru,Naruto and Gai are fun too.But Kakashi is the best !!

Mine are:
Shikamaru, Garra (post kill the hokage thing), Sasuke (pre kill the hokage thing), and Neji (post kill the hokage thing). Of course there's Naruto too. You have to love him. sweatdrop

I'd have to say I like Naruto because he has had a hard life but can still find fun in it. Also he a great fighter and never give up; thats what makes him the best.
