Lamia looked upa nd waved too. She thought it'd be cool to get to know the girl a little more, but was rather hoping that it'd just be her and Faust by the lake. she wanted to get to know him a llittle better, and she felt the adventur eof his dad was soemthing a little secret between them.
still, she smiled - ot caring too badly eithert way.

Nero waved back at Lamia and Faust. She wondered why they were going so quickly.

"I think I might head back home soon," Vence said, making his sixth kill. Two wolves, a buzz saw, and three fluffs for the heck of it. Vence looked around, and spotted a small pack of wolves nearby. He grinned, thinking it might do him good to cause some trouble for himself.

Checking his ring to see if it was "loaded," he was satisfied to see the red markings and blotches glowing. If he wanted, he could unleash a wave of fire that burned anything that he wanted in its path. It really was a great ability, to selectively attack in a wide range. He had only found the ring by chance from an old merchant scraping a living. Obviously neither of them had realized its worth.

Deciding that was the best way to go, he walked over to the pack, not caring whether they saw him or not. For this attack, you needed to be surrounded. As long as no one thought he was in danger and came to help him, he wouldn't have to worry about accidentally killing anyone.

"Um....thats Nero, correct?" Faust asked Lamia-he was trying to remember the new faces that he had met today.

The wolves had him surrounded, and a few of them looked ready to tear him apart. He counted seven. Smiling, he twisted the blade so that he hald it as a dagger, held it in front of him. calming himself a second later, He took a deep breath, knowing this to temporarily weaken the user. One of the wolves pawed the ground, snarled, and barked. The same instant two of the wolves pounced, he slammed the sword down into the ground, and a blast of fire erupted, knocking all seven wolves down to the ground. One of them started crawling away, whining.

Vence leaned against his sword for a few seconds, taking a few deep breaths. It had taken a greater toll on him than he had anticipated. Drawing himself up, he sheathed his sword, satisfied with his training and headed to the gate.

Moon was passing by the old wind mill when she heard a call for help. She galloped at great speed towards the cry.

She found a young Gaian girl being chased by three buzz saws. Moon acted quickly and used her snow staff. Although the staff's power would be unable to destroy the saws it could at least create an ice barrier to slow them down and give the girl a chance to create some distance. Moon summoned the ice barrier quickly as she rushed forward. She placed herself between the girl and the already cracking ice.

Moon glanced down at the girl who was nearly in a dazed state. Suddenly the ice barrier broke and the saws came buzzing through in a rage. Moon used her solar ray ring followed quickly by the use her slash ring which took out one of the animates. The other two blazed towards Moon and she reared back. She willed her staff to alter into one of it's other forms-the lance. She jabbed through the opening of one of the saws of the animate-pinning it in place. For the other she again used 'slash' followed by 'dervish' and 'solar ray' to finish off both buzz saws.

Moon retrieved her lance and willed it once more to take the form of the staff.

"T-thanks....." the girl panted.

"It was no problem at all," Moon replied offering her hand. "Let's get you back to the gate to recover more safely."

The girl nodded and Moon helped the girl onto her back. A shadow beneath the lake water caught Moon's attention but when she turn to look it was gone. Moon shrugged off the feeling and headed towards gates of Barton Town.

Vence encountered no resistance from any animated, all the way to the north gate. He saluted one of the gaurds posted as he walked by, heading to the fountain to get his bearings as to where his apartment was.

Moon arrived to the gate shortly after Vence. As one of the guards rushed over Moon knelt down to let the girl off. "Take care of her for me-will you?" she asked. The guard nodded as Moon use her 'diagnose ring' to help the girl revive a bit faster. With the girl now under the guard's care Moon headed back down to the trail.

"Well-should we keep moving?" Faust asked Lamia as he saw a boy who looked familiar approach the fountain.

Lamia odded.
"You lead the way- he's your dad." she smiled, still excited at the idea and followed Faust's gaze to the guy.

"Y-yeah....of course" Faust replied and waved good-bye to Nero. Then without think he grabbed Lamia's hand and the pair dashed off to the gates.

It wasn't until they had reached the gate that Faust realized that he had been holding her head the whole time. He blushed as he let go, "S-sorry about that....I didn't hurt you did I?"

One of the guards recognized Faust and waved. "Hey Faust! Are you going on patrol with your mom?" the guard asked.

"N-no.....," Faust replied. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh....because your mom got assigned overtime to patrol the lake today," the guard said.

Faust froze for a moment. "She's....patrolling....here? At the lake?" he asked.

The guard laughed, "That's what I said. Anyway you and your friend be careful-alright?" He waved good-bye as the pair went through the gate.

'This is just ggggrrreat' Faust thought to himself.

Lamia giggled and felt a blush rise on her face.
"No, you'd never hurt me, Faust."
She looked quizzicaly at the gaurd when he explained tat Faust's mum woudl be around and eyed her compnaion.
"That's bad right? Maybe we can dodge her, the lake's pretty big."

Vence glanced back as a pair of kids walked by, a little too quickly, but he didn't think much of it. He recognized the girl at the fountain too.

"Hey Nero, nice to see you here."

"Yeah.....if we're careful," Faust said. "She tends stay on the path during her patrols."

This time Faust purposely took Lamia's hand. He kept them near the side of the path closest to the lake. Faust kept his ears alert to the sound of his mother's hooves. When he spotted her he had himself and Lamia hide behind some bushes and waited for her to pass.

Lamia nodded, and when faust shoved her into hiding she stayed still, keeping her ears alert. She knew that she usually moved quietly, but Faust's own hooves made it difficult. She waited patiently.

Meanwhile, Inana was on the move. After having checked Ian's shop, she foudn out that Lamia hadn't come and was nowhere to be found. While she didn't usually chase after her daughter too badly, this time she was nervous. Lamia was asking questions, and that she was gone was irritating.
