Zepatos nodded and then was promptly knocked to the floor by Jinx pouncing on top of him.
"argh! Jinx, seriously?" he laughed, looking up at her form lying on his back as she pinned him.
"hello, girl how are you?" he sighed with a another laugh, mussing Jinx hair friendlily.

"Jinx good," she replied licking him on the cheek. "Zepatos good."

"Maybe I should have kept you two seperated," Uhura remarked. "I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to get her out now."

"ew, yeah thanks, i'm good." He squirmed a little at her lick.
"and it doens't matter i guess, she's not doing any harm."

Uhura shrugged and hoped she didn't get scolded later for this. "Alright then," she said. "She now knows body parts and some basic works. What so you suggest next? Colors....Numbers?"

If he was going to teach Jinx she would let him take the lead.

"probably number,s they're easy to teach. For other things i guess i'll have to try and make some flashcards or something. Maybe we should get her watching kid's Tv too? It might help her pick up stuff."

"I'll put it in for consideration," Uhura replied.

Jinx slowly backed up and off Zepatos. She seemed happier now as she glanced between the two. "Le....arn?" she asked.

"That's right," Uhura replied. "We're going to teach you numbers."

"....um...bers?"

Zepatos nodded and crawled back to a sitting position once Jinx freed him.
"yeah numbers - 1,2,3,4,5." he counted them quickly on his fingers. "do you understand?"

Jinx stared back a moment and then looked down at her hand. She wiggled her fingers. ".....o...ne...." she said pointing but didn't catch the others.

Uhura nodded and then held up two fingers. "Two," she said.

"...t....t...wo...." Jinx repeated and mimiced the gesture.

"That's it." Zepatos smiled.
"One..." he held up one finger.
"two.." two fingers.
"three..." three fingers
"four."
"five." he held up his full hand and then counted them all again. "see?"

Jinx nodded and repeated the counting several times. "Jinx good," she said proudly.

"Yes, you did very good," Uhura replied.

Elsewhere....

"The repairs are complete," Korex replied as he returned to Tanara and Nero's presense.

"great. Now upto 10"
he used his other hand too.

Nero's mouth twitched into the hint of a smile and he nodded.
"Excellent. In that case i'm ready when you are, commander."

"Then let's not wasn't anymore time," Tanara replied. "I shall return to my ship and the hunt can begin."

Jinx held up her other hand and counted off 1 through five again.

Nero nodded.
"I look forward to it. Remember we take out a federation station, then we head for the Enterpirse."

"yeah ok, so what happens if you put five and five together?"
he close dhis fists and then counted one through ten using both fo hsi hands.

Tanara nodded and turned to leave with her men back to the ship.

Once aboard the Bloodscar she ordered them to the nearest Federation station. When that was done they headed out.

Jinx looked at both hands. "...te...n...ten?" she replied.

((I don't know if the station the enterprise is stationed at should get attacked or some other one so that panic arises....hmmmm....))

Nero headed back to his bridge and sat in his seat.
"Follow them. Keep to the outskirts and let the Klingon warbirds do their work. we'll see how useful she is." Nero ordered. the federation base destruction was just a show...his mind was focused on the task ahead - of dining and destroying the enterprise in as painful way as possible. Spock and Kirk were waiting for him and he wanted to watch them suffer.
