Steve crossed his arms, looking Tony over carefully, unsure of what was wrong with him. Kalani’s words made him look towards her however. “You’re Loki’s friends, you’ve protected and cared for him when he needed. As far as I’m concerned, both of you are welcome to come to the mansion with us. There’s more than enough room for you both.” He offered.

Kalani looked to Steve as the man spoke to her telling her that she and her grandmother would be welcome at the mansion with Loki. Her brown eyes shot to her grandmother who chuckled again. Kalani looked extremely hopeful at her grandmother. They were having trouble out here in the wilderness anyway with her father having been killed a couple months before Loki had shown up. "We would need to pack some things." Kalani's grandmother spoke gently. Kalani squealed in excitement before turning to Steve and wrapping the man in a hug as best she could. She was so excited to be moving and to be able to stay close to Loki and see the baby be born. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." Kalani gushed.

Steve watched the two women with a small smile. When the older woman agreed, Steve’s smile turned into a grin and he returned the hug. “If you need to come back for another trip to pick up things, we won’t mind. We’ll take Tony’s private jet.” He added lightly. “I’m sure Loki will be thrilled to see that you’re in the mansion when he recovers.” He said as he let Kalani go. “Do you need some of us to help?” he asked, looking between the women. They weren’t going anywhere until Bruce had given the go ahead to move Loki and had actually gotten the god settled on the plane. And Thor could carry Loki easily enough.

Kalani looked around her home biting her bottom lip when Steve said that could come back on another trip. "That would probablly be best, Loki needs care now. We should probably only grab what we need at the moment." Kalani stated softly. She didn't want to cause more harm to Loki knowing that it was a three hour trip back to the mansion. She smiled when Steve said that Loki would be happy to see her and her grandmother. "Um some help would be good. If someone could get some clothes out of out dresser we could collect the other important things we need. That way we'll be quick and can get moving maybe by the time you have Loki loaded into the jet." she suggested and then got moving. She gathered Clint and whoever else would help to gather things. They were quick about it and within a few minutes they were boarding the quinjet.

Betty and Steve moved to help, leaving Loki to Thor and Bruce, Tony too weak and too out of it to be of much help. Eventually Bruce seemed satisfied that Loki could be moved, getting Thor to carry Loki out of the house and to the quinjet, the doctor ushering Tony along in their wake. It took another few minutes for Bruce and Betty to secure Loki onto the cot in case of an emergency, but they were soon in the air, heading home. Tony had stretched out over a bench seat to doze, and hopefully discourage anyone from bothering him.

Thor was happy to help where he could and when Bruce called him to carry his brother he did so without hesitation. Thor was gentle and careful with his brother frowning at how light the younger god felt from what he remembered. He had laid the god on the cot and allowed Bruce and Betty to secure the god as he moved back to help gather what ever was left to gather from the Alaskan home. Soon everyone was aboard, Kalani's grandmother in a seat chatting amiably with Thor about his brother and the old tales of Asgard and Jotunhiem. Kalani herself had moved to sit in the cockpit with Steve chatting with him. She had started asking all sorts of questions about the Avengers and their home. Loki seemed to remain unaware of the world as they traveled strapped to the cot.

Bruce called Natasha to get her to go ahead and set up the infirmary, giving her specific instructions. But Bruce and Betty ended up spending most of the ride with Clint, talking to him about Natasha and any issues they might be facing or concerns they might have. Bruce was improving in his knowledge of pregnancies through helping Natasha. He still wasn’t as good as a specialist, but he could handle most of what was needed. When they reached the mansion, Thor was again enlisted into helping with Loki, Bruce and Betty hurrying after him. Steve and Clint began helping Kalani and her grandmother with their things, Bucky and Sam joining in once they arrived. Tony was left to figure out what to do himself, deciding to go find Fenrir and explain the situation to the boy.

Natasha was awaiting the call and informed that she had all the basics set up, and that she would get to the specifics. Clint was helpful when he spoke with Bruce and Betty about Natasha and the concerns he had about the baby. It was good for him to put some of those concerns to rest. When they reached the mansion Thor was all too happy to take Loki to the infirmary. Kalani moved with Steve and Clint to get her and her grandmother's things to a room that was shown to them. She was delighted to officially meet Bucky and Sam even if the winter solider made her nervous.

Loki stirred a bit when they entered the infirmary and the smell of antiseptic flood his nose. He gave a soft groan and another word slipped past his lips. The same one he had called in the Alaskan home. Still he didn't awaken just then.

The infirmary was chilled, one of the many upgrades Tony had put into the mansion before they moved was the ability to cool rooms much below an average A/C could ever manage. And once Loki was placed on the bed, ,Bruce made sure the wound was properly washed out and rebandaged before seeing about putting Loki on an extremely strict IV schedule to help deal with the malnutrition. The two doctors kept themselves busy with tests and analysis to make the best schedule for recovery. Loki would go straight onto medicine to help him keep food down when he woke, and Bruce was already making a grocery list of the most promising foods for Loki.

It took a while before Tony came down to the infirmary, Fenrir in his human form walking beside him, holding his hand. Tony had done as best as he could to explain everything to the young boy. And then there had been the process of getting him calmed down and explaining that Loki probably wouldn’t be able to play with him or be treated too roughly for a while. When they came in, Tony lifted Fenrir up onto the edge of the bed so he could see Loki and be close to his mother. Tony leaned over, running a hand over Loki’s forehead to check his temperature before pulling away. Bruce stood nearby and softly suggested Tony try laying on another bed and giving the genius a pill to help him go to sleep, though it wouldn’t be enough to keep him knocked out. Tony agreed and ended up curled up on the next bed over, sheet pulled up to his ear, too exhausted to even really think about arguing.

Loki seemed quite a bit more relaxed when the temperature of the infirmary cooled down. It felt like when the snow had been around in Alaska and some of his fever calmed. Even more so when the IVs had been working for awhile. The wound had seemed to heal a bit more in the time from the Alaskan home to the mansion. It didn't seem quite so angry as it had before. He seemed to rest more easily as the doctors ran their tests.

When Tony entered with Fenrir there was a shift in awareness across the bond. Like Loki knew his son and mate were there despite being unconsciousness. The god did stir a bit when Tony touched his forehead but still he did not wake. It was a few hours after Tony had lay down to sleep that Loki woke. It was slow at first and with a great amount of confusion, the smells around him did not match his last memories. When he opened his eyes and found a white bright ceiling instead of the wooden one he felt some panic. His leg ached now which was a vast improvement to when he last remembered but his arm ached and when he looked down finding IVs there he panicked more. His hands rushed to his belly still feeling the swell there and felt some relief. His eyes swept around the room and landed on Tony. Loki sat quickly looking around further finding no one but Tony so far. He knew he only had a short time before the others would return. He started pulling the IVs from his arm and when he had finished that he slipped from the bed as quietly as he could. He felt terribly weak but he would not give up he had to protect his child.

Tony stirred as Loki woke, the feel of the god’s mind across the mind new and unusual again. But as soon as Loki shifted to get up Tony woke fully. His months of nightmares made him an extremely light sleeper. He watched in silence as Loki took a few steps toward the door, making sure that was what the god was doing. “So you’re just going to leave again?” he asked quietly, not moving. The pain and fatigue showed clearly in his eyes. He was tired of fighting, so he wasn’t going to fight Loki. “Kalani will be disappointed…..she came all the way here to get help for you…..and Fenrir was excited to have you back.”

Loki whirled in surprise when he heard Tony's voice behind him. He nearly collapsed as pain shot up his leg and Loki gave soft cry of pain. He didn't know what to say to the man or what he could say, would Tony even understand him at this point? Hearing Kalani's name and that she had joined him here in the mansion made him feel worse and Tony could only drive the nail of guilt further in when he said that Fenrir was so excited to have him back. Loki slumped and let himself fall slowly to the floor until he was sitting on the cold tile. Red eyes cast down to the floor he said a few things. What sounded like another apology of sorts and then some other things.

Tony was silent for a moment, watching Loki. “Don’t think I’ll be able to understand you Loki…..not without Thor to translate.” He said slowly. Letting out a small sigh, he carefully slipped from the bed he was on. “Bruce has put you on bed rest for a few days. Your malnourished and dehydrated, and that leg isn’t going to be much use to you until it’s healed.” He said, coming over and reaching out to help him up. He couldn’t help the sharp intake of breath that came when what little magic that had returned to him while he slept was sucked out of him, fingers flexing on Loki’s arm a moment as he fought the dizziness. Pulling Loki to his feet carefully, he helped him back into the bed and covering him in the thin sheet. Looking to the bedside table, Tony found a few pills and a glass of water and handed them to Loki. “Bruce will probably keep me on bed rest as much as he can as well…..” Tony added with a grimace. If Loki was needing to draw from his magic, then Tony wouldn’t be in much of a position to argue too much with Bruce.

Loki nodded when Tony said he didn't think he'd be able to understand him without Thor to translate. He didn't look up when Tony slipped from the bed and move towards him stating that Bruce had put him on bed rest for a few days. A gasp answered Tony's when he felt the man's magic transfer between them. He shouted a word pulling back from Tony when he saw the dizziness that overcame the man afterwards. He knew what was happening his child was stealing the magic from its father to make up for what Loki didn't have. It was the reason for Loki's weakness and why he had been hurt and was not healing quickly. Still he couldn't fight Tony off as the man got him back into the bed and covered him. He didn't know what sort of pulls it was that Tony handed him but he wasn't sure he wanted to take them. He looked to Tony when the man said that Bruce would keep him on bed rest as much as he could as well. He didn't know why Tony would need to be kept in bed or why the man would let that happen. He opened his mouth to ask that but then closed it knowing he wouldn't be understood. He held out the pills in a questioning gesture not sure if he would believe Tony or not with whatever the man would tell him.

Tony glanced at the pills when Loki held them out. It took him longer than it should have to figure out what Loki meant, but he finally responded. “One’s a supplement, all the minerals you’re supposed to be getting, iron and all that. I’ve taken one or two of those from time to time. Blue one kind of looks like the anti-nausea pill Natasha was taking for a while. Don’t know what the other is, Bruce must think you need it though.” He said with a shrug. Rubbing his forehead where a growing headache was forming, Tony went to get himself a glass of water and move back to his own bed, curling up under his blankets, the room too cold for his liking. “Do you want me to get JARVIS to call Bruce?” he asked slowly, shifting so only his eyes could be seen.
