[Indeed, and she never said she would. If I may quote directly, "King of Night will end you..." Meera is quite convinced that Lore has bewitched him, you see, and believes that when he is "restored" that he will see clearly and do her in himself. She simply doesn't understand that her master could love a mortal.]

((Right now, I believe we were in a small clearing in front of a cave, Mobius's burning and unconscious body about a dozen yards from us ^^))
Lore's eyes softened, "Meera, why do you hate me so much?" Her green eyes looked down and she bit her lip slightly, not meaning to sound noisy or anything else, just curious and a little hurt. She avoided looking at Mobius's body. She had to be strong.

Ryukai sensed others. He advanced towards their location, holding his blade, Aurora, at the ready. His familiar, Galina, flew above.

His thoughts were starting to become active. He wasn't dead; that much he knew. He also knew that he hurt all over, and that he was restrained somehow. He could not move, and it felt like he was buried in cloth and cheap perfume. His mind was still so injured as to knock out his other senses; he could not sense the heartbeats of any creature near him. It was as if a gong had been struck inside his head, and he could not focus. He could feel the sun beginning to rise, though. He started to panic a little out of instinct, despite the protection the cloth provided. He sent mental cries for help out every which way. Only the mental frequencies of a vampire could understand it, though, and it did him no good.

Meera frowned. "Wanton witch, you know well why I curse your bones and blood, You've tamp'red Master's brilliant mind, And made him love that he never would." Meera stared, starry-eyed, back at Mobius's form, "He could never love you, He mustn't ever love you." She turned and wiped tears from her lashes. "Come," she said raggedly, "A fiend approaches."

Lore flinched slightly but merely nodded, following behind Meera quickly. She took a deep unsteady breath.
