Kari wasn't sure what to say, everything happened to so fast. One moment shes next to a bleeding Kurai, and the other shes in Smoke's arms. Kari looked up and saw Smoke. "SMOKE!" She said as she hugged her. She patted her forehead in awe, and then remembered the real problem. "Kurai's in trouble shes bleeding alot and if we don't tend to her injurys soon..." Kari didn't want to say it, and even if she could, those words just couldn't come out from her mouth.

Smoke glared towards the sound of Kurai's crying. "Back to plan one... but instead of just fire and ice tank... It's going to be a fire, ice, light, and dark tank. We're going to use all of our powers! For Kurai!" Smoke put her hand out and waited for the others to put their hands on her hand.

I held my wound and glared up at Kari's mother in defiance."How did you like that little stunt" I spat in her face. She kicked me in the gut and it sent me flying into a concrete wall, which re-opened the wound in my back. I noticed i wasnt scared anymore of this woman or what she might do with me. I heard her take a few steps toward my torn and bleeding body, she knelt down to my level and said "Why do you do it?! You put yourself in harms way for nothing, all you have been doing this whole time is being my puppet and yet you still try" She glared at me as she spoke these words. I reached my hand up and grabbed the necklace she had stolen from me.breathing hard, i looked up and smiled at her. "That...is my business, (getting closer to her face and smiling) and why should i tell you if you will never understand it yourself" as i ripped my mothers necklace off her neck. then everything went black and i could feel only pain and regret.

Kari placed her hand ontop of Smokes. "For Kurai!" She said doing a stern nod.

Terra hugged Kari and then put her hand on top of Kari's. Inferno did the same. "For Kurai!" They said at the same time.

Smoke smiled, "Let's do this. ok Terra, Inferno. Make that tank again. Kari and I will create a shield so we don't get hurt. ANd your guys's signal for letting Kari and I know if you want to fire, Make a high pitched clicking sound with your tongue. When you do that, We'll lower the shield where the barrel is. You'll know when it's down. I'll make a bright light appear. After the witch is distracted enough, I'll go invisible and go... go into my other state... Kari, keep the shield up. I'll attack her, and she should stab Kurai during the minute of my attack. WHen she does that, Kurai will be out of her grasp. It is almost maxed out... THen, we need to have the witch stab her once more, that'll happen in the second minute of my attacking. THen, the blade will glow red. When that happens, get to Kurai and put her in your shield Kari. I'll produce a shield around myself and the witch so that when the blade backfires on her, She's the only one who'll die from the explosion. And don't be afraid of my other side... I'm still in control of it." She glanced at Kari to reassure her.

All i noticed was that it hurt, and that i was worried. While i was unconcious Kari's mother was able to figrue out the things my powers could do that i had hidden from her... unfortunatly i didnt know how she would use them. I grinned a little, noticing that i was on the brink of insanity. Still holding my mothers necklace in my hands i tied it around my neck suprised that i could even move that much considering how much blood i had lost but that wouldnt matter for long. I held the red crecent moon pendent in the palm of my hand noticing that one half of the crecent had turned black and i smiled again and began to cry.
Just let me die I whispered to myself...I cant take it if one more person dies on my behalf, it seemed to me that i had lost it as i started laughing. Kari's mother just sat there staring at me with a pleased but confuzed look.

Tilting my head to the side still laughing, i stood up and walked in the direction that i was commanded. I was laughing and i didnt know why. this was the sort of side-effect i was worried about. I was totally losing it. I clutched the necklace around my neck and my arm started to heal. it was like the fibers of my powers were pulling my skin together, it hurt but i didnt care, i tried to picture Kari's face and Smoke and Inferno and Terra and the two little cats that seemed to be drawn to me....i saw them...but...they were dead. I was carrying Kari's mom to the center of the burnt city, my saddness and anger spilled out of my body in the form of fire and darkness.
((srry this is getting a little dark, but i figured it would add suspence))
