"Do you and him go back any? I know you and Falkner do, that goes without saying by now. I don't think even you could've been like... that." Aden didn't sound like any of it was bothering him, but he couldn't help wondering either.

Aden didn't sound like any of it was bothering him, but he couldn't help wondering either. "Not necessarily." I said to him. "Jackie was one of the more recent gym additions in Jhoto. As far as apprentices go. Im one of the older ones, not by age mind, but how long an apprenticing spot has been held. There's an apprentice in Blackthorn City that has been around just about that long. Kristy would be the one after that. And one other one that apprentices at the Steel Gym in Olivine City. Jackie would be the last one of the apprentices that would show up, which leaves Azelea town, Goldenrod, and Cianwood without one. Though Cianwood gets Apprentices it seems like every month because Chuck can't seem to keep anyone in there for one stupid reason or another. Emphasis on stupid. I don't even bother counting Cianwood until I see an apprentice there for at least six months."

"I can kinda understand Azalea, Goldenrod... I think they're afraid of the leader, her Miltank, or both. And I still can't see the reason... I'm not sure if I want to try and figure out that last one." It was at this point that Aden wondered if one's perception of dysfunctional people wasn't limited to one's family, extended or otherwise, or the crazy occurrences that happened within.

It was at this point that Aden wondered if one's perception of dysfunctional people wasn't limited to one's family, extended or otherwise, or the crazy occurrences that happened within. "Nah, its just a matter of leader's discretion." I said. "A gym doesn't need an apprentice. It is recommended to have them though, so that a leader, whenever he or she retires, can leave the gym to someone they feel trustworthy instead of some random person that the Pokemon League could appoint. Bugsy of the Azalea gym and Whitney of the Goldenrod Gym doesn't have apprentices probably because of...well..." I thought for a moment. "I don't know, actually." I said, rubbing the back of my head. "I never really did ask them why. I would imagine that they would eventually." I got fully up on my bed and laid back. "Well, if you don't intend on getting yourself anything to eat, you may want to just go ahead, finish off your Coke there, and go on ahead and get some rest. I got a feeling that you may make tomorrow into one fast paced one." I said. This was assuming, though Aden doesnt make this into a long night for himself or myself for that matter.

There was only one way that the night would've been turned long. That way wasn't going to happen so easily. "Might just be how they prefer it, then. For now, anyway. But yeah... If I'm wanting to collapse there on the field, it's probably going to be a repeat of today." He decided not to finish the Coke, laying himself down.
"And Blizz? Thanks." He knew it'd probably come from left field, but it's been left unsaid long enough.

The next day came forth and I woke up there at the Pokemon Center. I sat up in bed and rubbed my eyes. Aden was apparently still asleep. I'd let him rest for the moment. He was going to be in for a long day it seemed. I slipped out of bed and slipped on my vest. I then would start getting ready for the day. Exercising a bit. Push ups here. Sit ups there. Then breakfast later.

Aden would find himself being woken up in a way he never quite imagined, and probably would never want again. Unknown to him was his Mareep managing to find her way out of her ball, materializing near the bed Aden was on.
It didn't take much for her to tell that it was morning, and seeing the person that was now capable of calling upon her asleep... well, it didn't fly to her. He shouldn't be a lazy bum. So she set out to fix this problem, zapping him with a weak jolt of electricity.
His typing didn't allow him to receive that all too well, forcing him to spring out of bed as if the mattress was able to do the same job. Failing to come out with anything coherent so soon, a few sputters aimed at the assailant would have to do.

I was in the middle of a push up when I looked up and saw the event unfold close by. "Well...that was a bit shocking." Miles is either laughing or cringing hard from a distance right now. "Morning, Aden."

Aden in particular was cringing. Both from the shock and Blizzard's horrible pun. "Yeah, morning... I think Mareep's more into the mornings than I am." He spoke up, plucking a singed feather from his left wing. "That, or her ball fell out and she came out that way."

I said as I went to finish the remainder of my push-ups. "...97...98...99...100...there." I said, standing back up. "So, hungry for breakfast? You should be needing to eat something by now, considering you didn't eat anything last night."

"Yeah, I am actual-" He could head the crackle of more electricity build up, and quickly went to correct himself. "Okay, we are. Sorry, Mareep." Aden know she meant well by it, or was at least reminding him that she existed. Perhaps what had happened yesterday was more jarring to her than he first thought.
At least it was better than the last time he had to put up with an Electric type. He still had nightmares from his attempts at it.

"Right..." Aden was quick to start walking, stopping for a second to look to Mareep. She seemed a little more hesitant to follow, what with there being a potential for a lot more people. "If you're going, Mareep, c'mon. There's nothing for you to be shy about.. if it gets too much, I'll recall you. Alright?" This idea sounding a little better to her, she finally followed the two onward.

We probably picked a good time to get here it seems. The buffet was a complete breakfast for any trainers to choose from. Pancakes, bacon, biscuits, eggs, hash browns, small 3 oz boxes of cereal, sausages, rather it be patties or links that one would prefer...it was virtually there for the choosing. I went to the cashier and paid for the meals for myself and Aden then headed off to get something to eat. "God, this is looking good..."

Aden, never being one to eat all that much, settled for a couple of pancakes, bacon and a biscuit. Doubting that Mareep would be all that fond of such stuff, though, let alone be used to it in any way, he figured it was better to get what few berries he could. A little of everything, to figure out what flavor she might prefer.
Seeing what people were around, he was kinda glad. It meant less of a chance for Mareep to be overwhelmed so soon. If anything, he'd wager it was similar to what some might've seen passing by the area on a normal basis. He set his plate on a nearby table, then the one littered with berries near a curious Mareep. "Yeah, it does... been a while since seeing anything like this." He finally said.
