As with the rest of the pride, this female is tough both inside and out, with a lifetime's experience in warfare. No longer a young female but not yet old, she is at the height of her skill and prowess. Yet this hard life has changed her, left its mark on more than just her fur. The constant fighting has left her wary of strangers, her attitude gruff and no-nonsense both on and off the battle field. She pushes herself hard and expects the same from everyone else in the pride, it is not favoritism, just simply their way of life. She is looking for a mate not for the romance of love, but for the long term companionship. She knows she will not always be as fit and as able as she is and fully expects her injuries to eventually catch up with her. When that happens, she hopes to have a male with which to share her retirement, someone she can trust and who has had the same kind of life she has... someone who would understand her. She also wants to raise a family, the next generation of warriors. But for the time being, she is too busy fighting to find the male who will be her match.

Both combatants roll, and whoever has the higher roll does the damage for that turn. Damage is determined by the difference between the rolls, as follows:
0: Dodged/Missed, no damage
1-2: Light Hit, -1 HP
3-6: Medium Hit, -2 HP
7-9: Hard Hit, -3 HP
Each combatant begins with 10 HP (adolescent fighters get 8 HP). The first to reach 0 will be forced to retreat (or die, but you probably don't want that xP). In battles with more than one combatant on each side, players will be put into randomized (except by request for IC reasons) pairs to fight, and whichever side has the most winners wins the battle. If the number of winners is the same on both sides, the winners will be paired off with each other (their HP does not reset from the previous fight), and the outcome of those battles will determine the winner.
Smaller, encounter-type fights (between lone lions, patrols, etc.) can be set up at will. Formal battles for oases, rivers, and Baj-jer can only be set up by Meepfur. If you want to attempt something different, like if your lion wants to go all hero and try to take an oasis by himself or what have you, run it by me! |
