It wasn't too surprising to see that not much had changed in the way of decor. Perhaps a fresh coat of paint and some buffing to the floors. But nothing major from what he could see had been done. It was almost nostalgic being back here. He took his seat across from the male as he gave the place one more glance about the room. Upon hearing him speak, he turned his attention back to him. He couldn't help to smile back at him before picking up his own menu. Samuel looked over the various items carefully. Was it chicken? Or maybe some kind of pasta? He wasn't exactly sure what he had when they were last here. Perhaps it was a steak, or maybe he just wanted one since he had been talking about it so much in the last several minutes. He glanced over the many items. Some he found more appealing than others. But after a few more minutes of looking he decided on the chicken alfredo with a side salad. "See anything you want?" he asked curiously, placing his own menu aside.

Looking over the menu there was simply too many choices to choose from. He had stuck between chicken or pasta. Micha found the seafood looked delicious too but he didn’t care too much for the taste. Plus he knew Samuel had an allergy toward it. He didn’t want to push his luck with ordering shrimp scampi or something of the likes. Micha could feel Samuel’s eyes on him before they returned to the menu. He was deciding on a few choices but couldn’t make up his mind. Micha heard Samuel question him and glanced up at him. ”Yeah, but I can’t decide. Do I want chicken Parmesan or Chicken Piccata.” He spoke smiling at Samuel a little. Micha figured either way it was chicken so it didn't matter to him.

Alaine knew he meant no harm. That was what made it all the more frustrating for him. He just wasn't in a good head space to be talking ill about Liam yet. His wounds were still fresh and he wanted to think that maybe, just maybe there was a chance he would return again. That there was something there worth saving. It was all a lie of course. Liam wasn't coming back and Jepsen was too kind for his own good. Not wanting to speak further on the matter, he clammed up. Focusing on the food in front of him, he took small bites and savored the flavors. Alaine shot glances towards the man but said nothing. He didn't even know what he could say. It wasn't as though they knew each other well enough to have a proper conversation. He was almost fine with it staying that way. Unfortunately though, it seemed Jepsen was the opposite. Glancing up again, he stared curiously as he was questioned. He chewed his food and soon swallowed. "Atlanta. I moved to Brooklyn when I was twelve." Alaine didn't really remember much of his time in the south. Just that it was about as crowded down there as it was up here. Over time he'd grown to prefer the north and hardly ever went back to his home state.

Indeed the options did seem a bit overwhelming. Lucky for him though, he could skip over an entire page due to it being seafood. Unless he was making it himself, Samuel hardly ever ate seafood in public. It was too much of a risk. He knew that accidents could happen and still wind up in other food options. But he liked to think that his chances were a bit lower by avoiding that area of the menu altogether. He noticed Micha glancing a bit over the section. If he really wanted it, he was free to order something with seafood. All he asked was that he not kiss him after eating it. With his mind made up, Samuel set his menu aside and turned his attention to the male. "If I remember correctly, didn't you have the chicken parm the last time we were here?" he asked curiously. Although he doubted Micha would remember. It was enough that he just so happened to remember where they had gone on their first date.

It had only been a few months at the most that Liam and Alaine were going out. He had hoped that Alaine would come to care about him but he was wrong. Liam had cared for Alaine and yet he never got the feeling Alaine cared for him perhaps only tolerated him. He got the feeling Alaine treated him like a child. Liam got his answer however last night. He hadn't expected to see Alaine kiss another man especially in front of him and everyone else in the club. What did Alaine expect however for him to simply be okay with it. Hardly he had been pissed at Alaine. Liam took his anger out on having sex with another man. Sure it didn't compare to Alaine’s kiss but it made him feel better. Although yelling at Alaine had not made him feel in the slightest better.

Liam hadn't slept much Alaine plagued his thoughts. He wanted to hear his voice and see him smile but he lost out on that chance. Liam knew Alaine would never speak to him again. He knew he probably didn't deserve it if he did.

Lying there he watched nothing more than to continue to curl up beneath his blankets. He pulled them closer around him as he pulled them over his head. Liam closed his eyes but sleep eluded him. He soon heard his phone ring. It has been lying next to him all night. Liam grabbed it looking at the caller ID but it was just Johnny. He declined the call and rolled over in bed away from his phone.

Another few hours went by before he finally gave up on sleeping. Liam sighed as he pushed the covers off himself. He rolled to stand and walked to the bathroom. Liam flicked on the light looking himself over in the mirror. He took in the sight of the bags under his eyes which were bloodshot as well. Liam walked toward the shower turning it on. He waited for it to get warm before pulling off his boxers. Liam slipped into the shower pulling the curtain closed.

Standing in the shower, the water had grown cold about twenty minutes ago. Liam ignored the chill of his body. He turned off the water pulling back the curtain. Liam stepped out as he grabbed a towel. He dried himself off then went into his bedroom. Liam walked over to his closet looking his clothes over. He settled on a charcoal gray sweater with black slacks along with his black converse shoes. Liam sent his clothes on the bed then went to pick out socks and some boxers. He went back to the bed and got dressed.

Liam knew he couldn't mope around all day. Once dressed he left his bedroom after grabbing his phone. Liam stuffed it into his pocket and made his way toward the living room. He walked toward the door, grabbing his keys and wallet from the table by the door. Liam opened his door stepping outside and locking it behind himself. He wasn't sure where he was going but his stomach growled as he made his way toward his car.

Sitting there Jepsen continued to eat his breakfast. He sipped his coffee a little. Jepsen could feel Ally watching him every once in awhile. He didn't mind though the silence was killing him. Jepsen was not one for silence. He hated to just sit and not speak to one another. Jepsen had to ask something even if it was meaningless. He got the feeling however that Ally didn't want to talk to him and could care less if he did. Jepsen wondered if he had offended him. He listened as Ally answered his question. It was straight and to the point of what he has asked. Jepsen nodded a little was he continued to eat. He was losing his appetite however. ”Do you not like talking to me or am I bothering you?” Jepsen asked curiously as he set his silverware down. In all honesty if Ally didn't want to talk to him all he had to do was say so.

For him, silence was a luxury. Alaine had grown up around constant noise, moving from one loud city to another. Everywhere there was loud music, loud people, loud cars, loud trains, loud construction. Just noise, noise, noise all day long. Although he enjoyed life in the big city, he was not fond of all the racket. He found most noise he could just ignore and pop in his headphones. But then there were others that would shake him to the core and feel as though there were no escape. In silence he found peace. He loved the quiet mornings when he would get off work. He liked the gentle sounds of another person resting beside him. It amused him to see Jepsen struggle so much with his silence. He guessed that must be something he had in common with Liam. As that man could not stand his silence either. Alaine gave a brief answer to the question he was asked. There wasn't much to say. He was born in one state and moved to another. His mom was a nasty woman and his father left them before the move. But he was sure Jepsen wouldn't be interested in those boring details. Alaine ducked his head to take another sip of his coffee. He glanced up as the male questioned him again. Of course he was going to ask something like that. Sighing softly, Alaine set his mug back on the table. "It's not a matter of liking or disliking you." he replied honestly. "I simply grew up in a house where if I wasn't being asked directly than my thoughts and opinions weren't needed. I wasn't allowed to talk..." Alaine thought about telling him more but what would be the point? He didn't need to know that he had no friends or how vile his mother was every time he opened his mouth. On the contrary, he wondered if it was he who was bothering Jepsen.

Jepsen wasn’t bothered by Ally. He merely just didn’t understand him. Jepsen didn’t know what it was like really to have silence. Even as a child noise was all around him. He hated it, even at home. Jepsen much preferred sound to silence even if it was just music or the tv playing in the background. He wasn’t trying to annoy Ally but perhaps he was. Jepsen couldn’t keep still for long. He had to keep moving. Jepsen got bored easily when it came to jobs as well. He could never do an office job. Jepsen watched as Ally grabbed his coffee cup taking a sip. He listened as Ally returned his question with a response. Jepsen sighed a little at his words. ”Well your no longer a child Ally.” He spoke softly pushing his plate aside. Jepsen was no longer hungry. ”Sometimes people want to know what you’re thinking.” He spoke watching Ally smiling a little at him. Jepsen wasn’t bothered by Ally in the least, he found him interesting, but he knew it would take some time to get used to him.

After driving around for what seemed like hours. Liam didn’t know where he was going. His stomach was growling and he was growing miserable by the minute. All his thoughts were on Alaine. Which is probably why he had driven the diner that they usually went to after work. Liam parked his car near the front of the diner. He turned off the car and unbuckled himself out. Once out of the car, he locked it behind him. Liam looked around a little knowing he was only torturing himself by driving here. He just couldn’t get Alaine off his mind.

Liam walked toward the diner entrance and opened the door. As if things couldn’t get worse, he looked around the diner. He spotted a familiar head of hair. Liam felt like he had been punched in the gut again, seeing who was sitting opposite of Alaine. He wondered perhaps if they had been going out all along, stringing him along. Liam was becoming paranoid now.

He was no longer hungry it seemed. Dismissing the hostess who greeted him. Liam walked through the diner toward Alaine and Jepsen’s table. He wondered how many times Alaine and the male had gone here behind his back. Liam stopped short of the table, he stood before them, looking them over. At least they weren’t in the same booth with each other. He placed his hands on the table learning over looking at Alaine. ”How long have you two been ********> Liam asked with all seriousness staring down at Alaine. ”Or did you just get kicks out of cheating on me behind my back too.” He questioned, knowing that they were no longer going out but still it hurt the same.

There wasn’t much worry when it came to seafood. He would never eat something that would affect Samuel. Not kissing him after he ate was simply not an option, which is why he opted not to eat it. Micha didn’t like it all that much anyways. It wasn’t as if it was his favorite thing in the world either. He could do without it. Micha listened as Samuel spoke questioning him about his choice of food. He nodded a little at his words. ”Yeah, I did have it last time.” Micha spoke making up his mind on his choice of food. ”I’ll just get the Chicken Piccata, something different.” He spoke smiling at Samuel, as he closed his menu setting it aside.

Alaine knew that the male meant well, he could hear it in his voice. But there was a lot about him that he liked to pretend never happened. When he did speak of himself it was only natural to want to keep his answers short and to the point. Usually it didn't lead to more questions. But sometimes it was unavoidable. Samuel was once much like Liam and Jepsen. Always pestering him with question after question. Eventually he felt as though he had no choice, and gave Sam his life story. Afterwards he seemed satisfied enough as he never questioned him about his past, and focused on their current relationship.

Poking at his food, he gave the male just another short answer. It wasn't much of an explanation but at least it was something. He didn't feel like going into detail about how horrible his mother was, or how often his childhood home was filled with yelling and fighting. Alaine savored his quiet time, but he also craved the company of others. Although he was no longer living in that house he still had problems trusting others and opening up to them. Taking a sip of his coffee, he nodded quietly as Jepsen spoke again. The small sigh made him worried that he had said too much. He wasn't a child, this was true. He couldn't really argue with that. Setting his mug back on the table, Alaine nodded silently. "I know they do and I know I'm not a child. But those people should also note that I'm not trying to be curt. There's just a lot I'm not ready to share." he replied honestly.

Alaine wanted to be more open with the man. He rather liked him in the sense that he thought that maybe they could be friends. But he knew if he continued on as he was, that likely wouldn't be able to happen. After all, he'd already ruined things with Liam from remaining silent. He didn't want something like what happened with Liam to happen with Jepsen. Picking up his fork, Alaine tried to eat a bit more. As he took a bite of his eggs a familiar voice spoke to his right. He felt his heart drop and forced himself to swallow. He didn't understand why Liam was asking him that. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he glanced towards the male. His words cut him deep. He couldn't understand why Liam was saying such hurtful things. "We're not." he replied softly. As the male continued, he felt a twinge of anger. He thought about calling him out on his bullshit, but would it even matter? He glared up at the male as he then further accused him of cheating. "Have you always been this paranoid? Or Did that guy you ********, knock a few brain cells loose?"

Jepsen didn't expect Ally’s life story. He didn't even care if he talked about the weather. Jepsen just wanted to talk. He knew Ally wasn't a child, but he couldn't live in the past. Jepsen wasn't blaming Ally nor was he mad at him. He was merely just trying to get to know him. Jepsen knew nothing about him except he was his boss. He listened as Ally spoke nodding a little. ”I know Ally but it's not like I expect your life story… Even if you talk about anything; work, weather, or the news. It's something.”. Jepsen spoke before he was cut off by the sight of Liam looming over there table and speaking harshly toward Ally again. He didn't understand what Ally saw in this guy. Liam was a pretty boy sure but nothing else.

Liam looked the two of them over. They both seemed pretty cozy enjoying each other's company. He didn't know what he expected from Alaine. Liam didn't know what to think seeing them together. Right now his mind was thinking the worst of the situation. He watched as Alaine seemed at a loss for words. Liam was never this paranoid but perhaps he had many questions on his mind. He listened as Alaine spoke. Liam laughed cynically at Alaine's question. ”Ha. As if the only thing it did was open my eyes to how an uncaring SOB you really are Alaine.” He spoke pulling away from the table but still remained where he was.

Alaine was probably overthinking things. Unlike Liam, he knew Jepsen wasn't as pushy. For the most part, he seemed content with letting him keep his secrets. Meanwhile, Liam seemed frustrated if he didn't give him any answer than the one he wanted. It might be okay to ope up to Jepsen, but he wanted to do it on his terms. He nodded quietly as he listened to the male speak once more before getting cut off. The sight of Liam standing next to him was unexpected. Given their last conversation he was under the impression that Liam wanted nothing more to do with him. Yet here he was, saying absurdities and making him feel even worse. He just wished Liam would stop. He just wanted to drink his coffee and finish his eggs. A glance at Jepsen told him that he was the males attitude as well. The more Liam spoke, he had to wonder why he was ever attracted to him as well.

Alaine sat there glaring at the male. If Liam wanted him to hate him, then he might just get his wish. He didn't appreciate being talked down to like this. And it was awfully rude of him to accuse him of something he wasn't even guilty of. He set down his silverware, listening as the male insulted him once more. His dark laugh only pissed him off more. Pushing back his seat, he stood up, and raised his right hand to strike the male. "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!" his body shook as he glared at the male. Tears burned at the corners of his eyes, but he wouldn't let himself cry. Not now. After slapping the male, he dropped his arm down by his side and took a step closer to him. "If you think I'm such a whore than don't talk to me. Forget you ever met me. Forget you had anything to do with me. Because I'm done, Liam! Clearly it doesn't matter what I say because you won't believe me. I'm clearly nothing more than some stupid slut that'll give it up to anyone with a pulse." Alaine couldn't even look at Liam, he was so angry. He didn't care if he hurt Liam. Because right now he was the one who was hurt.

There was many things he was thinking right now. However he didn't think Alaine was a slut. Liam knew it wasn't possible. Alaine was screwed a little too tight and never expressed himself. He didn't think he would cheat on him but he couldn't help but to be question him. Liam wanted some sort of reaction from him. He watched as Alaine stood up yelling at him. Liam was surprised and a little taken back as Alaine hit him across the face. He felt the instant sting knowing he might have a bruise tomorrow. Liam listened as Alaine continued to speak. He found it amusing but left his face emotionless. Liam watched as Alaine came closer to him. He listened as Alaine continued to speak. Liam shook his head a little drawing closer toward Alaine. He leaned closer toward Alaine's ear, ”I never once called you a whore. I merely wanted to see if you cared.” Liam spoke stepping away from Alaine. He smiled before turning on his heels and heading toward the door. Liam was still hungry but he was not going to eat here.
