It's official, I'm going to loose Siren. I think I pretty much knew last night when I went to take her out and she immediatly spit up her water. It was clear no matter how hard she tried to drink or eat she wasn't getting any of it. Something messed up inside of her when she went through her final shedding.
I broke down last night and cried four about a halfhour straight just stairing at her because I feel so helpless. The thought of her slowly dieing of dehydration and hunger. Watching her get weaker and weaker. I couldn't even begin to imagine how many days or weeks it could take.
Well I came back from class only minutes ago to find her on her back with her legs crumpled. She is just barely alive. Of course I immediatly took her from her cage and layed her on a little blanket. She is twitching and she can see me, but it won't be long. She probably won't live through the night. I'm just glad I can stay by her side in her final hours.

Oh Kris.. ~Hugs~ I'm so sorry hon... At least you'll be with her til the end.
@Di-- I did, honest. I showed Krystal and her mate the screenshot of it and it doesn't make sense. I always check 'em before I leave and then take a screenie so I don't mess it up when I write it down. @_@ Anyways.. Hmm. I don't know yet. I've got to get a new job, obviously. I just finished my resume.
@Rainey-- Aw.. why not pick a confidante and vent to them?

How cruel is nature, to give such beauty to things only to take them away in the prime of life.

But Siren is very very lucky to have you by her side, and im absolutely posative she appreciated your care; who else could have cared so well for her? You love her, and i'm sure she appreciates it more then she can ever comunicate to you. Know that it isn't your fault, and you did everything possable. I know none of this is going to fix it, and only time will heal that wound, but please know every single person here is without a doubt with here and if you EVER need us, we're all here for you. If you ever want to talk to me, you can reach me all hours of the day at EnnGeeCoyote, and don't hesitate to wake me up, i'm always willing to listen to you. smile

Af Mas I'm so sorry Krissim. I really am. You've done all you can, that much says something Affy is right and we are all always here for you. The loss of an important pet and friend is never easy. The good times are what matters as well as the love, you'll never lose Siren as long as you keep those things.

Af Mas I'm so sorry Krissim. I really am. You've done all you can, that much says something I agree. It looks like all you can do now is be with her while she leaves. I know she really appreciates the company, because it is awfull to die lonely.

I now have what appears to be a full blown sinus infection. My nose feels like it's been filled with cement, add a cough to that and I feel absolutely miserable. Ugh.
