New Orleans is a rathole.
Much as I love the city and wouldn't mind living there (albeit in the Garden District), it is a $#@!ing sewer. STDs run rampart through the parts non shown on postcards, and crime is laughable.
Really, the only thing that kills more people than the tap water there was the Bubonic Plague. It's almost as bad as slummy Mexico.
Which is bad.
But not as bad as slummy Honk Kong.
Still, if you want the best food and drink short of a 5 star restaurant in New York, Chicago, or Paris, go to N'Orleans. They got Emeril. cool
