Haven smiled a little now and then pulled her head away slightly as she wrapped her arms around him. "You won't ever leave me, will you?" She asked, her green eyes full of intense emotions, mainly sadness but also worry.

There was a pause from shock as Alex tried to think of the right words. He didn't want to leave her, but could he leave her? "I don't think that's possible, but if I have to I will, if Richard threatens to harm you I will have to leave," he said in a serious tone. "But not without trying to do whatever I can to stay with you."

Haven frowned at this. "I don't want you to go at all." She said. But, she quickly regained her normal smirk. "Haven't you heard? If they find me, I'm to be his wife." She said, her smirk vanishing and the frown returning as she spat out the last word.

Alex was shocked and it almost looked as though Haven had slapped him back into reality. There was real potential in losing her, not just the danger of Ray but also in his own step father. His agitation wasn't clear since he was attempting to hide it but the hair on his arms rose as if he were cold. "I don't want that," he said a little louder than intended. "I don't want you to go away."

Haven stood on her tip toes then kissed him on the lips. "I'm not going anywhere no matter what. Even if I have to kill someone." She said. Yes, there was a violent side to Haven. No one wanted to see that side and no one had. It'd be best to keep it that way.

Alex was only partially shocked by her words but was quickly distracted by her kiss. It comforted him that she was willing to come so close to him. He loved her, he could feel it now but there was still confusion boiling in the back of his mind. The way he saw her interact with Ray confused him even more. He didn't need to be tested when he was trying to figure out how to break a curse.

Haven sighed a little and leaned her head against his chest again. But, shortly after doing so, her grip on him tightened slightly for the same pain she had been feeling in her mind when her Grandmother tried to speak to her, was back yet again. It was very apparent this was not going to be easy to deal with, no matter how much Haven hoped it'd be simple.

Alex could see the pain in her expression and felt it when her grip tightened. He pulled away from her, lifting her chin with his pointer finger so that she would have to look at him. His expression was serious and his eyes were fixated on hers. He wanted to say something but wasn't quite sure what he wanted to say. He moved forward than, kissing her gently on the lips and savoring the taste. "Whatever is bothering you, don't worry about it, I'm here," he whispered in her ear.

Haven pratcially melted into his arms now. She was becoming exhausted again. Fighting to keep people from talking to you telepathically really took a toll on your energy. She hugged him tightly, but not out of pain this time. "I know." She said quietly and let a small smile come to her lips. "I want it to stop...Why can't I be normal?" She asked aloud and softly, but more to herself than anything.

"You're asking a cursed person why you can't be normal Alex thought to himself as he laughed inwardly. He didn't want to anger her by pointing out her illogical thinking but he knew it would help her to some extent. "Well, I think you're quite normal, after all you're not cursed and you're the most beautiful person I have ever seen," he said after a pause, hugging her back as he spoke.

Haven shook her head and said, "But I'm not! At least I don't think so... And not only that, it's so hard." She frowned deeply now. She hadn't really let out her true emotions on the current situation yet. Better late than never. "I'm scared. I don't know what to do. Everything just happened so quickly and I don't know what to do..." She said, repeating herself. She buried her face in his chest now and enjoyed the closeness between them.

Alex couldn't admit it bow but he'd been scared ever since he'd been trapped in the dungeon. He could feel pain ripple through his shoulder again and he flinched. He could remember the look on Richard's face and the way he spoke. He wanted to cry, he could feel the emotion bubbling up inside of him and he tensed to keep it from coming out. "I know you're scared," he said in a tight voice. "Everyone is but we just have to keep moving forward."

Haven frowned at the sound of his voice. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset or anything like that." She said, now regretting what she had said. "But I do have a good feeling..." She said softly.

"I'm not upset," he said calmly. "It's not your fault anyways. I brought it upon myself." He was looking at her now, studying her facial features and the way she moved. He could feel every movement she made as he held her. He wanted to stay like this but he knew it couldn't last forever. They needed to eat and pack up so they could leave.

Haven gave him a half-hearted smile then sighed a bit. "Are you hungry?" She asked, changing the subject. She knew he must be because Juliette had said he... Wait a minute, where was Juliette? She hadn't seen her anywhere and she was usually busy. Then again, she did get hurt. Was she resting?

[I can't for the life of me remember if she knew she was dead or not, I'm pretty positive she didn't know yet >.<]
