When Verily spoke closely to his ear, he felt chills go down his back. The words almost didn't register. He looked at her for a second as it clicked in his foggy mind. He picked her up and twirled her. And that was when Rick entered and spoke to them. He almost dropped Verily when the boy came in. Slowly, he set her down. "Oh, um... er... Well... Rick... we could... um..." Erik's face was blisteringly red as he glanced to Verily.

Verily squeaked in surprise when she was picked up and twirled around. She smiled, laughing happily. Suddenly she heard a voice and when she was back on the ground, she turned to face the boy who had entered the room. She blushed and scooted closer to Erik, her back pressed against his chest. "Sorry... Um...." She would have offered some place else for them to go, but she couldn't think of anywhere. She blinked and curled a piece of hair around her finger awkwardly. Even the awkward interruption and the fact that this boy had probably seen a lot of what had just happened couldn't kill the happiness she felt inside.

Ver nodded quietly at his suggestion. She felt bad for the red head that had walked in on them. He seemed.... a lot like Gracie unfortunately. She smiled gently at the smirk and blush on Erik's cheeks and squeezed his hand. "Yeah... that sounds nice." She blinked up at him and smiled. She couldn't help but smile, Erik just made her happy.

Ver tilted her head up when she was pulled close and moved towards the door. She smiled and took his hand, intertwining their fingers silently. With one last glance at Rick and a tilt of her head, she lead the way towards the library.

❧ El hurried through the entrance quickly happy with herself for getting the riddle right her first time and was quickly stopped in her tracks when she saw the roomy common room. There were shelves, and shelves of books, and many writing tables where she could study with friends- if she ever made any. She was so taken with awe that she almost didn't notice the boy lounging on the couch. He looked mad which worried her so she just quietly, hurried over to one of the writing tables with her book in hand and sat down. She opened 'The Hobbit' up at the place where she left off and began reading while keeper her senses open to the rest of the world so that she wouldn't lose track of time.

Ver slipped into the common room with Erik close behind her. She turned around, smiling at him, before falling into a big cozy chair happily. She held out a hand to Erik, hoping he would join her in the chair. It was plenty big enough for the both of them, especially with her being quite small.

Erik watched as Verily dropped into the big cozy chair then offer him her hand. Instead of taking it, he moved next to her. Bending forward, he slipped his arm under her leg and in one fluid motion, scooped her up into his arms. Dropping into the chair himself, she would settle into his lap. "I like this better," he said with a trademarked Meridith smile.

When she pecked his lips, Erik felt color rise to his cheeks, which was suddenly made worse by her snuggling against his chest. "Oh, okay. I like the way this worked out," he said. Erik wondered if she could hear his heart pounding. She was close enough and with her being this close to him... it made his heart pound even more.

Ver smiled as she listened to his heart beat. She coudl hear speeding up just slightly which made her giggle quietly. "Do I make you nervous?" She asked quietly, lifting her head from his chest so she could look him in the eyes. She blinked quietly, watching him curiously. He definitely made her nervous, although less and less so as she spent more time with him.
